Parallax Monitor is a Nikon Z series camera field-control workspace for operators who need motion control, stills mode, X-Lights exposure, camera-card playback, local viewer screens, diagnostics, and fast set-to-social handoff. Connect to a compatible Nikon camera, watch Live View, adjust shooting settings, check exposure, tap focus, roll video, capture stills, share the feed to nearby screens, and review camera-card clips without bouncing between tools. X-LIGHTS EXPOSURE X-Lights are Parallax's custom exposure assists for quick on-set decisions. They summarize highlight and shadow pressure from the pre-LUT live-view signal, while waveform, histogram, zebras, false color, and exposure posts give deeper confirmation when the shot is critical. Monitor with a LUT without hiding the signal. Parallax keeps the look and exposure readout separate, so a pleasing preview does not cover up clipped highlights, crushed shadows, or a risky exposure choice. STILLS MODE Switch from motion to stills without leaving the operator surface. Parallax supports photo-mode workflows where available, including still capture, photo-focused readouts, tap focus behavior, quick still review, favorite/save actions, and playback-side photo preview. Gives all the functionality and tools that Nikon left out and also can playback footage. And it doesn’t stop there, the app is also a fantastic photo app. You no longer lose the ability to look through your viewfinder or LCD when using the app like with SnapBridge. You can keep shooting and look through the viewfinder and have a client holding an iPad and they can see the shots as they pop up one by one. Then you can quickly review the photos in the app. This is a dream app. And can’t wait for all the future updates coming. The developer doesn’t stop, every week it’s new updates with more powerful tools. One more thing, that app can monitor multiple camera feeds at same time.
