App works very well and visually nice too, as long as you want to use it with our existing timeline. It would instantly increase its possible audience (think fiction writers) if it would allow custom dates. For example, I’m trying to gather data on a fictional story that not only uses one set of dates (such as BC/AC) but has 4 different (sequential) calendars, each starting with a year 1. Converting all these fictional dates to the existing model is very cumbersome.

[Update] Received a good developers response. Thank you for that idea! Unfortunately they are not parallel timelines but still linear. Looking forward to future versions of this app.

**Developer response:** Thank you, that is a really useful suggestion! Custom date systems are not in the app today, and you are right that converting fictional dates by hand is tedious… I have already added your idea to my list for a future update.
As a workaround it might help to put each of the four calendars in its own collection. The app shows collections side by side, so at least the eras would stay visually separated. Thanks again for the detailed feedback.

In this version I mainly worked on importing your own collections.

Importing is simpler
There are now three ways into a collection of your own: add the entries yourself in the app, bring them in from a file, or paste a copied table straight in as text. So no file is needed at all.

A free sample collection: Ancient Rome
Ancient Rome comes with the app as a sample collection, no Pro needed. It shows you how an import works, and the collection stays with you afterwards.

Tap a collection, the timeline follows
Tap a collection in the list and the timeline jumps straight to its period.

Save the focus view to Photos
The focus view can now be saved directly to Photos, in different image formats if you like.

New premium pack: Cities of the World
181 cities across six continents, from 9000 BC to today.

Plus many small improvements. You can swipe an entry sideways in the list to edit, copy or delete it, and scrolling and zooming the timeline should feel smoother.

In this version I focused on clarity and readability.

Focus mode
The contemporaries of an entry now get a view of their own, tidy and with no gaps between them. You can share that view as an image, by message or on social media.

Who lived in a particular year?
A double tap on the framed year above the timeline narrows everything down to that single year. Look up your own birth year and see what happened and who was alive at the time.

Search now finds hidden collections too
Collections you have hidden still appear in the search results. Those matches are listed separately, below the rest.

Easier to read
Font sizes now follow your iPhone text size everywhere, including the labels in the timeline.

Plus many small improvements, such as clearer guidance when creating your own entries.
