Turn your phone into a powerful flight instrument. Featuring GPS, Moving Map, Vario, Waypoint, Altimeter, automatic Logbook, Thermal Tracker, Compass, Heading, Speedometer, Wind direction and Glide Ratio. Flights will auto start and stop when app is open. Vario sounds only play when ParaMap detects you're actually flying. Very easy to use. No external accessories required. No setup required. Works on your phone immediately with default settings. Maps automatically download. Works like google maps. Optionally choose between 4 different map types, select device orientation view, and select between metric or standard units. One click to set your waypoint on a map that you can scroll around on. Then every time you open the app it will automatically point you to that waypoint. Use the thermal tracker to find the core! This app was developed by paraglider pilots looking for a clean and simple to use flying tool. Other apps charge quite a bit and then charge again for "extra" features like waypoints. Yes GPS must be turned on for the app to find your position. If you answered no when prompted by ParaMap to use your location information you can go into your phone settings to re-enable "Location". You must also have either mobile or wifi access to download maps over the internet.
