Story:
The remote island of Kameshima sits nestled in Ise bay.
Yuza Minakuchi is a young pearl diver who lives on the island and spends his days underwater gathering, together with his best friend Azami Kumoi. After he has a bewildering supernatural experience encountering another version of himself on the ocean floor, a series of curses start to befall the island...
A girl of unknown origins, a treasure hunter from a foreign land and a mysterious housewife investigating a drowning. Paths cross and destinies collide as they come closer to the secret of the Mermaids of Ise, a legend that has been obscured by the fog of history for so long.

### 5/5 — Another Amazing Paranormasight Game

I went into this one a couple months after completing the first one and really enjoyed this one too. I will be comparing the two in my review but it should be mostly spoiler free.

The games are only really similar gameplay wise through interacting with the characters and the environment within its immersive 360° camera view. This is since this game features a new location, story and cast of characters. There is some reference of characters and events of the previous game but this is mainly for world building rather than plot relevance meaning it’s entirely possible to enjoy this game without playing the previous one.

If you enjoyed the last game for the horror rather than the gameplay you might feel disappointed by this one. Whilst this game doesn’t shy away from physical horror at times, you might not find the same tension and dread from the beginning of the last game as it is portrayed more as a thriller at these times than horror.

Towards the start of the game you get to play a diving minigame which allows you to collect various sea creatures for points which increase your diver rank. Increasing your diver rank lets you upgrade your skills such as being able to stay underwater for longer or  increasing movement. I found this gameplay loop quite fun however also found that it was quite underutilised since it only had story impact at a certain point other than the beginning when it could’ve been intertwined with some progress.

The beginning is quite information heavy, as with the middle of the previous game however the files in this game generally feel a lot longer than the previous one. This wasn’t an issue for me personally as I enjoyed reading about the area’s history and legends however some would find it excessive. I did feel more rewarded for reading all the files in the previous game whilst playing however as your understanding directly impacted your progression, in this game this felt less so and it was only a handful of times where this mattered gameplay wise (although it would still help connect some dots story wise).

That being said, this beginning helps set up the rest of the game which had a very fun and fleshed out story. You get a lot clearer of a picture of what you need to do from the beginning than the last game (but not necessarily how to do it). It’s more mystery based than the previous one since you will need to unpack past events and alternate timelines to help the characters.

Unlike the previous game the events aren’t told chronologically, you may be able to unlock “recollection” scenes which happen before the current scene. In my opinion this makes this game have a much better use of the story chart than the previous one since you also need to piece together when certain events happen (rather than just playing through one and unlocking the chronological next). They are displayed in chronological order in the story chart however only for that characters’ branch, it’s only when you’ve completed a sufficient number of scenes that you can cross compare between the characters easier. 

I also found each segment on the story chart to be longer than the previous game, up to twice as long or more however there is a lot of opportunity for breaks when the characters move locations for example.

I preferred that in this game the characters could be gradually unlocked through a series of recollections rather than just being given to you all at once like the previous game. In the previous game the characters were often concerned with their own desires however in this game the characters seem more concerned with the overarching plot (perhaps apart from Avi who is still concerned with his own purpose haha). Overall this results in a stronger main cast despite the last game’s cast working phenomenally within their pairings.

The puzzles were also very fun to complete, these are mainly gameplay based unlike the previous game’s meta puzzles however are just as difficult. There is a meta puzzle in this game required to unlock some endings however it was the most difficult puzzle in the series for me personally such that I had to search up the final step of it. If there were a few more meta puzzles before then it may have set it up better for the player despite the puzzle itself being quite clever.

The Mocking Birds were also fun collectables (these are bird character stickers you can find hidden in the environments),  I didn’t get them all in the previous game however they seemed much more hidden in this game so I more actively sought out to collect them all, it was cool that Yumeko’s vision ability highlighted them too. The relationship chart was a funny addition in this game as well.

The music and environments are particularly beautiful in this one as well, I especially liked looking at the constellations with Circe.

Overall this is a really good game in my opinion and just as good as the previous one, despite taking a different direction with the story.

I can’t wait until the next Paranormasight releases!!!

ストーリーは面白かったが、意味のない会話が多すぎて焦ったかった。次にどこに行けば良いかヒントが無く、タップしてはここは調べ終えたから他当たろうを繰り返す場面は無駄に感じた。攻略サイトでも見ながらやらないとゲーム性の面でストレス凄いと思う。

Switch版ではカメラ移動の方向を反転させられるので、スマホ版のオプションにも同じ機能をつけて欲しいです。
自分の直感と逆なので素潜りの難易度が高すぎる…。
まだ全然クリア出来てないので星は中間にしておきます。

物語に都合よく意外性を持たせるために登場人物のiqは低めに設定されている、会話は一瞬で終わる話を無駄に長く大袈裟にするから設定説明が多い後半はほとんど長押ししてた、ホラー要素はほとんどない、出来の悪いラノベみたい

ホラー系推理系は沢山ありますが、ここまでプレイヤーの選択肢や行動が細かく物語に反映されるのはパラノマサイトが初めてです！
前作もすごく面白かったのに、今回も期待の何倍も驚かされ、最初から最後まで推理しっぱなしで最高でした😭

攻略情報を見てしまいましたが
トゥルーエンドまで観ました
感想は、良かったです♪
1日1時間くらい、15時間くらいでクリアしました。
この作品の舞台の198X年より
5年後の1990年くらいに、
鳥羽で働いていましたので
当時を懐かしく思い出しながら
また知らない情報も沢山知ることが出来て.本当に楽しめました。亀島(神島)は、実際に存在する島で、当時の職場の上司が
毎週行っていました。このゲームってをやってから興味が湧いたので、近々行ってみたいなぁと思います。関西風の三重弁も
懐かしかったー♪

続編本当に嬉しいです！

前作よりも明るい雰囲気で進みました。
ホラー演出は苦手だったので気にせず進められてよかったのですが、緊張感のあるシナリオは好きだったので、そこも減ってしまったことは残念です…。

次回作あれば呪殺システムをもっと活かしたシナリオを期待します！

イメージ絵なども明るい通り、ホラー要素が薄まっているので、パラノマ初めてならこちらからが良いかも。

操作系も前作を踏襲しつつ、選択済みの所が分かるようになっていたり、スピードアップし易くなってたり、操作しやすくなってて快適。謎解き周りも楽に。ture endらへんだけは詰まったけど…

話はボーイミーツガール感あるな→ホラー、バトル要素出てきたか→ボーイミーツガール
な感じで爽やかめ。味方が強いので安心できる。

メタネタも多くニヤリと出来ます。

このままシリーズ化しての三作目も楽しみにしたい。また一作目やろうかなぁ。
