### 3/5 — Subscription is too expensive

*2025-10-14, version 9.0.7*

I wish I had access to all of the app… But I literally can’t afford it. It’s not crazy expensive, but it’s one more thing I have to pay for. I think the creators of this app are genuine in their desire to build up parents. I just wish they were able to do it without charging me a subscription.

### 3/5 — I can only access Free version after paying for subscription

*2025-06-27, version 9.0.1*

I have used this Free version of this app since 2020 and love the resources it has. I recently decided I wanted to do more with it paid for the subscription part of the app. After subscribing, I cannot not access the content. It says I’m subscribed from Apple’s side, but Parent Cue app itself doesn’t show me as subscribed. So I’ve paid for it, and when I click on subscribe (again) it has a message that I’m already subscribed (from Apple). I reached out to their team who said they gave me 24 hour access while they tried to solve the problem, but I didn’t actually get access with that either. So, I’d give a 5/5 for the Free version of this app but so far a 1/5 for the subscription since I cannot access it at all and already paid for it. If it gets resolved, I’ll update my rating. 3/5 for an average of the two.

### 4/5 — Organized, thoughtful and meaningful

*2022-01-10, version 7.0.2*

I just downloaded this app about a week ago after getting a message from my church. I signed my kids up quickly and used the app to show them a message code and read from the daily devotional then when we watched the message from church all were tied together. My children were even inspired to find the messages from the Bible on their own. Well done!

### 5/5 — Simple and Meaningful

*2021-09-01, version 7.0.0*

I love using parent cue app because it cues me to look for consistent opportunities to nurture a relationship with my kid’s. It’s simple, Straightforward, and Strategic. I’ve discovered more through frequent repetition and reinforcement than I ever might have by reading dozens of parenting articles or books. Thank you parent cue for making it easy!

*2021-08-08, version 6.3.1*

It is so good to have an app that helps me focus on what’s important for my child. I am enjoying the prompts & feel the countdown is both sobering and helps me see the importance of each day/week with my child

She loves watching it everyday twice a day . Keeping the WORD of GOD in her everyday life is what I’ve been striving for and parent cue made it easier by allowing it to be on her toddler level. I’m so thankful for GOD using this ministry. Keep jump jumping and going GOD’S way!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Account Required?

*2024-08-28, version 8.0.1*

I cant usexthe app, because i dont want to create yet ANOTHER password to use an app!

I just dont use apps that require a “sign up”, because i dont want email reminders, i dont want more email contacts out in the wild.

### 1/5 — Can’t locate church

*2024-05-14, version 8.0.1*

I can’t seem to get past the Find My Church section. I’m not sure if there is a current glitch but I can’t continue setting up my account without finding my church. HELP.

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2021-02-03, version 6.3.1*

This app used to be awesome. I think we used to get a new video/content once a week. Now it’s more like once a month, if that.

### 1/5 — Audio Not Working

*2019-08-18, version 5.1.1*

When I try to play the “Watch This” Video with my Toddler, the audio doesn’t work no matter what I do!

### 1/5 — No volume

*2019-08-11, version 5.1.1*

There’s no volume on the app. All the settings are correct and my volume works in every other app. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled and nothing. I was very clear when reporting the problem to customer service that the app
Itself has sound, just not the kids videos. You can hear the podcasts fine, just not the videos. I received the most unhelpful response every to turn on my volume. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Come on Becky. If I tell you I’ve had your app for months and the videos don’t have sounds, don’t tell me to take my phone off mute.

### 1/5 — Count don’t

*2019-07-09*

I understand each moment I have with my child is precious. The count down of weeks is a terrible idea. What happens after the count down is over? What an awe full concept. Anyway I can only imagine the teenage years are just about as over influencing my child as the arbitrary 18 year mark. How about the years after where I still lean on my parents for perspective and wisdom?

I’m new to the app and am only still following in hope I caught the week timer as a trial concept. Giving the app the benefit of a doubt. My wife refuses to use the app, and another mother she shared it with rejected the countdown idea.

Please eliminate the count down.

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2018-10-22, version 5.0.2*

Too American, we live in Australia so getting prompts relevant to USA school year is irrelevant

### 1/5 — Terrible update

*2017-05-23, version 4.0.3*

The new update is terrible. The last thing I need is for my toddlers to fight over who's profile we watch the video under. I also don't like how only the current weeks video is the only one we can view...and what happened to the memory verse videos?! Those were so important to my kids! Especially my child with a speak disorder that can't actually verbally speak bible verses...the videos were great because she could at least do the actions when I would repeat the verses to them.
Lastly, you can no longer turn your phone horizontally to make the video larger, which is a pretty basic function.

### 1/5 — Not a fan of the new version.

*2017-05-10*

I absolutely LOVED the former version of the app and it was a big selling point in getting my church to switch to Orange curriculum. With the update it seems like they removed most of the content and really paired the whole thing down. Instead of different sections (cuddle time, bath time, etc) and layers of depth everything is summarized in one brief page. There's no consistency between the look of curriculum Parent Cue handouts and the new app. In fact, the sections themselves have different titles now. For example, the memory verse is now called 'remember this' (and it no longer includes the video with the motions)... I'm really hoping this is just a rough change over and that more things will be added in as the month moves on.

### 1/5 — Hideous update

*2017-05-04, version 4.0.1*

App now demands personal details on your children in order to work with no way to bypass or skip. No clear indication of what they are doing with the details or how they intend to keep them safe. It does make clear that your kids details are being sent off somewhere though - with a unreadable privacy policy and request for an email address.
Avoid until fix this privacy and child protection nightmare.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Such a great support in the parenting journey

*2025-02-05, version 8.0.1*

Love the help of how to teach my faith at an age appropriate level for my kiddo to understand. Thank you for these resources!

### 5/5 — By far the Best App

*2022-10-15, version 7.1*

I am a homeschooling mom and I use parent cue as my Bible curriculum! It is the best source for our needs and brings our little family together!

### 5/5 — Awesome awesome!

*2022-07-08, version 7.0.5*

So helpful to have this amazing resource. Articles and tips are always spot on and help with our kids so much.

### 5/5 — Timely & Fresh

*2022-05-23, version 7.0.5*

I coach a team of 20+ volunteers in the Childrens ministry at the church I attend and I recommend this app as often as I can. The emails and notifications are always relevant and timely. The content is fresh and not what I have found anywhere else. Thank you for the encouragement for all that we, as parents, do PC! 👏🏼

### 5/5 — App is fantastic

*2022-02-21, version 7.0.5*

Kids today learn differently than we did when we were kids. This app helps teach our kids about Jesus in a way that they understand. Thank you for making an awesome app

### 5/5 — What I’ve been looking for!

*2021-12-06, version 7.0.2*

What an amazing app this is. There are so many things to love about this app but for me the two that stands out is how the devotional are curated for different age groups so it is easy to get my children reading the Bible and all the resources they provide for the whole family. I am so happy I came across this app.

### 5/5 — Well written...

*2021-09-27, version 7.0.2*

Simple, short, and clear. The reminders are helpful, challenging and timely.

### 5/5 — Just what I need

*2021-09-16, version 7.0.1*

I don’t need a whole bunch of ideas about just motherhood, or just kids activities or just kids milestones and eating habits. I need a whole bunch of ideas about all of it because it’s all encompassed in parenting! Oh and I need it all to be rooted in the same faith that I’m raising my kids in. That’s why I love Parent Cue. And it’s true that you’ll read emails from people or companies you want to read emails from so keep it up Parent Cue! Those of use who aren’t on social media appreciate the email connection point!

### 5/5 — Thankful

*2021-09-02, version 7.0.0*

There are apps to help parents through all kinds of child development. But especially when the pandemic started last year, I realized that I had been relying a lot on our church nursery and Sunday school to teach our kids about faith. I wanted something that would give practical advice on how to help your child grow in their faith from infancy on to keep me on track, especially while we were having to stay home. This is that resource! My kids will actually watch the videos! They’re actually learning the memory verses and prompt question and answers. I know the stuff presented is theologically solid. I am so thankful to have discovered this resource. 5+ stars :)

### 5/5 — Wonderful teaching tool

*2021-09-02, version 7.0.0*

Such a great resource for teaching your kids about God. I love that there are themes to reinforce the topic over the course of weeks. It makes having a routine Bible lesson with my kids so easy. My 5 and 2 year old love it! And I love that they are learning God’s word and promises in their heart.
