Constant bugs, making you login multiple times a day. The idea of school notifications through an app rather than email is fab. Constantly glitches messages don’t come through. It unsubscribes you then you can’t find the school when you try and log back in. I thought it was my phone got a new one and it was even worse. Was working well but last ‘bug fix’ update had made it worse! Not had any issues really however, so did start about 12months ago may be a bit longer. Shows more than one new nofticiation when I get a new one through, all are ready. The newest glitch that’s really frustrating is the app just not working. Won’t search for schools, every time I open it I get sorry error close retry same. Deleted app, reinstalled same. It’s showing as 41 notifications when I have read them all. Constant errors when reminders are coming through from school. Booking parents evening didn’t seem to work either and now I can’t access it at all! As soon as I receive a notification, it pops up that I have anywhere from 20-40 notifications from the app. As soon as I read the new message, then the notifications disappear. I don’t understand why it does this and it’s pretty annoying. ### 3/5 — Pretty good app but with some annoying bugs *2023-09-29, version 1.34* As both a parent and teacher using this app I have to say that it’s great for and receiving communication to/from school but there are a few bugs that are annoying. The all-in-one approach to the has massively streamlined all extraneous emails and paperwork. The only annoyance is that when I receive notification as a parent, it always comes through twice in the iOS Notification Centre at the same time. Also, the app badge shows 11 or 16 notifications, when in fact I only have 1. Constantly having to log in, log out, remove the app, re-install the app, clicking on links several times to access the information. Booking systems never work. Reporting absences never works. Constantly having problems with it. It has never worked properly and only ever seems to get worse. I can only log in about 25% of the time, the rest of the time I’m stuck in a loop of having to close the app, reopen, try to log in again, see swirly whirl of doom, close the app etc etc. When I finally manage to log in, it says I have hundreds of unread messages. When I read the latest one, all others then show as read. Then when I close the app it shows several unread notifications. If you are a school please don’t get this app it brings nothing but stresss ### 1/5 — How Is This A Usable App? *2024-12-02, version 1.41* I’m a little baffled that this app is launched and in use. I’m not even sure where to begin, but I’ll try… Users cannot be added manually, they must sync via CSV from your SIS. That would be ideal in most circumstances, but the problem with that is they don’t always pull over all the student and user information. We had new families waiting weeks into the new academic year for access. Some families still cannot get in. When an event is posted, parents receive a notification that it has been posted but doesn’t say what the event actually is. You just have to go through the event list and guess what’s new. Teachers and administrators cannot message from the mobile app- it has to be from a desktop, but parents cannot access their account from desktop, only via the app. It is a very confusing and clunky platform and I would not recommend it to anyone. ### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose *2024-10-07, version 1.41* It is slow, and clunky. Regularly forgets what school I’m connecting to and has terrible UX. I could live with it showing multiple notifications for 1 item if it didn’t then show an error when I try to open the app. Doesn’t show my account a lot of the time, can’t find any schools….all the same bugs people were highlighting almost 6 months ago!
