## What is ParentSEE?

ParentSEE is a different kind of parental monitoring tool. It gives you enough awareness of your kids' digital life to keep them safe, without reading their messages, tracking their keystrokes, or turning their phone into a surveillance device.

We built ParentSEE on a simple belief: cultivating trust with your kids requires also giving trust. You don't need to see everything your child types to know they're safe. You need to know what matters, when it matters, and you need a tool that gets out of your way the rest of the time.

HOW IT WORKS

ParentSEE uses DNS-level monitoring to see which sites and apps your child's device connects to. No screen recording. No message logging. No keystroke tracking. No intercepting what they type or who they talk to.

Because ParentSEE watches at the DNS level, it sees a site when the device asks the network for it. A page already cached, or opened on a connection ParentSEE isn't on, won't produce a lookup.

You install ParentSEE on your child's device through either a mobile app or a browser extension. From that moment, you start building insight into their online life: which sites they visit, which apps they use, which categories of content they encounter most often.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

- Real-time safety alerts. When ParentSEE sees a visit to content related to suicide, self-harm, or other critical safety concerns, you get a notification on your phone and an email, typically within a minute.

- Honest weekly summaries. A calm Sunday-morning email sums up your family's week: what was contacted, what changed, and what is worth a conversation. No fear-mongering. No manufactured urgency. Just the facts.

- Patterns and trends in the app. Deeper analysis of what is changing over time, designed to spark conversations, not create panic.

- Milestone updates. Because not everything online is a threat. When your child has a good week, we tell you about that too. The good stuff matters.

- A dashboard that respects your time. Most things don't require your attention, and we don't pretend they do. Open the app when you want to know more. The rest of the time, we'll stay out of your way.

WHAT YOU WON'T GET

We don't read messages, emails, or social media posts. We don't record screens. We don't log keystrokes. We don't track searches. We don't block websites or control what your kid does. We don't install deep surveillance software that fights with your child's device.

Those things exist in other products. We chose not to build them, not because we couldn't, but because we don't believe they work. Kids know when they're being watched, and they change their behavior when they feel spied on. The information you get from surveillance is filtered through a child who is hiding. The information you get from ParentSEE is honest because it isn't worth hiding from.

BUILT FOR REAL FAMILIES

ParentSEE was built by a parent, for parents. We know you don't have time for another app demanding your attention all day. We know you already have ten thousand things on your mind. We know the peace of mind you're looking for isn't "I can read every message my kid sends." It's "I trust my kid, and if something really concerning happens, I'll know about it."

That's what ParentSEE does. Nothing more. Nothing less.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Your data belongs to you. We don't sell it to advertisers. We don't train AI models on your child's activity. We don't embed third-party trackers. When you delete your account, we delete your child's data. We keep only an anonymized consent record, per our Privacy Policy.

You still give your kid a helmet when you take the training wheels off. Not because you think they'll fall, but because you want to make sure they're safe.

ParentSEE is the helmet for when the training wheels come off the devices.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.7 — 2026-10-20

What's new in ParentSEE 1.2.7

• The most important alerts come first. Alerts are now sorted by how serious they are, with the most urgent at the top. Each one says plainly what happened. Mark an alert Reviewed once you've dealt with it, and turn on Show reviewed to see the ones you've already handled.

• Tap a notification, land on the alert. Tapping an alert notification now opens that exact alert, whether ParentSEE was open, in the background, or closed.

• Notifications you can always turn on. Settings now shows whether notifications are on, and lets you turn them on at any time.

• Activity that's easier to read at a glance. Websites show their own icon where we have one, and a clear letter tile where we don't. Each card is shaded in your child's color so you can tell whose activity it is, and anything that needs your attention stands out in amber or red.

• Search that really searches. Searching Activity now looks through all of your child's saved activity and shows only what matches. If your search hides an alert you haven't reviewed yet, we tell you.

• Better with larger text. Text, tabs and cards adjust when you change your text size.

• Signing out stops alerts on this device. When you sign out, it stops receiving ParentSEE alert notifications until you sign in again.

### 1.2.5 — 2026-10-07

Adding a device is simpler, with one clear option for each device. A step-by-step guide for setting up Safari on iPhone and iPad. Activity refreshes when you open it and shows when it last updated. Clearer wording on the subscription screen.

### 1.2.4 — 2026-09-15

• Fixed an issue where out-of-date saved data could stop the Home screen from loading.
• When two sources see the same thing, you now get one alert instead of two.
• Signing out now clears saved data from the device.
• More reliable device and app reporting.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-09-10

Activity has a new look. Your child's recent sites now scroll as a wheel, one card at a time, and every card shows the device and the category so you can take it in at a glance.

Also in this version:

- Each card explains why it was shown in plain language, instead of an internal code.
- Fixed a trial banner that could read "NaN days remaining".
- Fixed the height of the bottom toolbar on phones with a home indicator.
- Removed the Mac and Windows setup options that no longer applied.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-06-09

- A small, optional "how did you hear about us?" question at sign-up.
- Fixed a display bug on the Insights screen.
