## What is ParentsWise?

ParentsWise gives you one parenting practice a day, drawn from 23 published child development frameworks, including Gottman, Siegel, Greene, Markham, and 19 more, tailored to your child's age and your family's situation.

DAILY PRACTICE
Each day you get a single prompt rooted in the research. Connection before correction. Collaborative problem solving.
Emotion coaching. Not generic advice. Every practice traces back to a specific author and book.

COACH ON DEMAND
When something hard comes up, open the coach and describe what's happening. Ask how to handle a meltdown, how to rebuild connection after a difficult week, or whether the message you're about to send your child will land the way you intend. The coach gives framework-grounded advice, not platitudes, and adapts to your family's situation.

BUILT FOR YOUR FAMILY
Tell us your child's age group and situation during setup. Typical development, ADHD, ODD, autism, anxiety, dyslexia: your daily practices and coaching responses reflect your family's reality. The coach won't suggest compliance-first strategies to a parent of a child with ODD or assume neurotypical baselines if your child has ADHD.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.19 — 2026-08-20

- A warmer moment when you finish your daily reflection or a coaching session, with your streak front and center
- A gentle one-time nudge toward reflecting with your coach
- Small fixes and improvements under the hood

### 1.0.18 — 2026-08-16

This update includes a few small improvements:
- Cleaned up the ratings experience
- Fixed the Progress tab so it always shows your latest activity
- Improved variety in your daily prompts

### 1.0.17 — 2026-08-12

This update includes:

• New support for parents of adult children (18+) — daily practices on staying close as your kids become independent
• Set up a profile for each child individually (name, age, and any situations like ADHD or anxiety) instead of one shared family setting
• Thumbs-down feedback on AI coach responses now lets you add a quick note about what wasn't helpful
• Fixed daily reminders sometimes firing at the wrong time after traveling across time zones
• General reliability improvements, including a fix for Sign in with Apple

### 1.0.8 — 2026-07-22

- Added a feedback button on every screen so you can tell us what's working (and what's not) as we grow.
- Voice input is now available on the Coach tab, so you can speak your reflections instead of typing.
- Curious about a framework mid-session? Just ask your coach, no need to leave the conversation.
- Improved safety resources for parents navigating a difficult moment.
- Plus branding polish and several small fixes.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-07-21

1. Coach tab voice input actually works now. The mic button on the Coach tab used to just pop up an alert telling you to use the iPhone's own keyboard dictation button. It never did anything in-app. It now does real in-app speech-to-text with a live waveform and transcript, matching the Today tab's practice screen exactly.

2. Fixed duplicate session entries. Tapping "Reflect" on the same day's practice more than once used to create a brand-new session each time, so your Session History could show 2-3 separate "Today" entries for what was really one ongoing reflection. Now a second tap resumes the existing session for that day's practice instead of creating a new one.

3. Small polish: added a branded permission-prompt string for speech recognition (was falling back to a generic default).
