### 2/5 — Logo is perfect since the app won’t load and gives a pinwheel

*2026-08-14, version 12.5*

Horrible app. Unable to even log in to use it.

### 2/5 — Projected grades per assignment? Why did we remove this?

*2026-05-26, version 12.4*

Looks like the functionality where you can click the calculator and see projected grade on each assignment has been removed. This is CORE functionality for this app! I will go back to the old version which still has this. But so glad that with this new parentvue version you can change the color of the grade tiles, thanks for adding that…

### 1/5 — App not working

*2026-02-26, version 12.4*

I cannot even get past the swipe left to find your district it will not show me anything at all smh

### 1/5 — Comically bad

*2026-01-30, version 12.3*

I’d give this app zero stars if that were possible. It routinely kicks you out and displays various login error messages requiring you to either delete and reinstall the app, or signing out and adding your credentials back in.

### 1/5 — LB UNIFIED

*2026-01-24, version 12.3*

Absolutely horrible application…try holding yourselves to the same standard that you expect from your students.

### 1/5 — You got to be kidding

*2025-12-18, version 12.3*

I swear this app sucks and it impossible to find anything open stuff, and other stuff like that. But then if you don’t check messages THE TEACHERS BLAME YOU. One star!!

### 2/5 — Cannot report absences

*2025-12-15, version 12.3*

I’m not able to report absences. The drop down box for the “reason” for the absence is blank. The app doesn’t allow an absence to be reported without a reason.

### 1/5 — I can’t read messages from the teacher

*2025-12-02, version 12.3*

Unfortunately, I can not read the emails from the teacher. Often they open up as blank messages or the app doesn’t allow me to scroll to see the full message. I have to go on an actual computer to view emails. It is frustrating as I don’t always have a computer to access.

### 1/5 — Hate it!

*2025-11-05, version 12.2*

This is the worst app l've seen since smart phones were new. It doesn't load. I cannot pull up any of my child's information. I cannot access messages. It doesn't register when I've opened any notifications/alerts so it always look like I have one. It's the new year and our school district said my child's teacher information would be available but the app can't even load that page. I cannot believe this is the best they can do. It's embarrassing for the app creators and the schools using it. There just HAS to be a better option out there.

### 1/5 — ALWAYS Issues!

*2025-10-27, version 12.2*

They want us to use this app to keep track of our kids and be involved, yet like so many things in public education they lack the necessary support it needs. App is always crashing or not working. Teachers use whatever they want, nothing is consistent. Some want this, some want Canvas… some want something else! Then we blame parents for not “being involved” when no one can agree on anything anymore! Extremely frustrating and the lack of effort and quality this decade is pretty pathetic. Everything built to be replaced!

### 1/5 — App is finicky

*2025-09-30, version 12.2*

I keep getting an error message that I’m timed out. When I try to log back in it continues to load and load then give the same error message.

### 1/5 — This app is garbage!

*2025-09-24, version 12.2*

I can’t view any documents! Report cards won’t open, and all past grades are missing.

### 2/5 — New update

*2025-09-15, version 12.2*

I’ve been using ParentVue for years. I’ve always loved it. This new update…not so much. When grades used to be input into the system, it would show us the class, the assignment and the grade. Now the notifications say, “_________ received a new grade! Log in to check it out”. I ABSOLUTELY HATE having to search for changes in my kids grades. With them balancing 7 classes…it’s annoying. Please go back to the old notifications!! So much easier to navigate.

### 1/5 — A critical error occurred

*2025-09-10, version 12.2*

Every time I log in into this app a pop up occurred saying “a critical error occurred”. Please fix the bugs.

### 1/5 — Praying it’s not a reflection of the school system!

*2025-09-09, version 12.2*

This app is awful. It is glitchy and inefficient. Leaves so much to be desired. The email section hasn’t worked properly for me any time I’ve tried to use it and it’s been YEARS now. I keep thinking they’re going to get around to making changes, but expect my son to graduate before that happens. I hope this isn’t how they handle challenges for the students.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — NEVER WORKS

*2026-08-06, version 12.5*

Every time I have ever tried to open this app after receiving a notification, I’m logged out. When I log in it says my credentials are wrong. Even if I copy and paste it. Then my account gets locked out. This has happened EVERY TIME I have tried to use the app. I can’t see my kids grades or do residency verification or email teachers or see mailings. I keep missing dates and things that I need!!! It is infuriating. The new version of the app does the same thing. I have complaints about the functionality of the app itself as well but I can’t even login so what’s the point of even mentioning the rest?

### 1/5 — Sucks

*2026-07-31, version 12.5*

This app sucks

### 1/5 — App is deprecated

*2026-07-30, version 12.5*

When you try to log in, it tells you to download the new app

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-07-29, version 12.5*

Nothing loads, got the “new” app and that doesn’t load either. A bunch of trash

### 1/5 — I dont like it

*2026-07-28, version 12.5*

Just…I dont like it thats all

### 1/5 — Update not available

*2026-07-27, version 12.5*

It’s telling me to update but doesn’t allow me to update the app

### 1/5 — Poor development, awful usability

*2026-07-19, version 12.5*

They figured out a way to make their product even worse and with less helpful functionality. What are parents to do if they have kids in more that one district? Why are some districts using app features other districts don’t? Why didn’t this update pull forward previous reporting and data? Because the developers and programmers are bottom of the barrel and ran out of AI tokens.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2026-07-03, version 12.5*

I can’t even access my schedule

### 1/5 — Worst app in human history

*2026-06-25, version 12.5*

Doesn’t ever allow logging in. Doesn’t show test scores. Doesn’t expand pages correctly. Also this thing called AI just came out and is useful for coding

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-04-03, version 12.4*

This app is awful. The links aren’t always working and messages get cut off. Takes for forever to upload and glitches and freeze all the time. Also can have to individually delete messages once read. For a district parent communication app I wish it would work better

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Genuinely the best education app I’ve been on

*2026-07-24, version 12.5*

I could even see my kids grades

### 5/5 — Grace

*2026-04-20, version 12.4*

Paco1964

### 5/5 — Nice improvement

*2026-04-02, version 12.4*

The old version of the app was ok but this feels like a definite improvement. I love that the Grade Book is right there on the dashboard, as that is what I log on to check. Everything is big and clear and does what I need it to.

### 5/5 — 67

*2026-01-05, version 12.3*

67

### 5/5 — Love

*2025-09-09, version 12.2*

I love it

### 5/5 — Worst app in history

*2025-09-08, version 12.2*

Awful. Have to change password every time to login.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2024-08-26*

I have been using this app for a few years and I love that I can see my children’s grades and everything before progress reports and report cards. I also teach my own parents at my school how to use it so they are not surprised.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2024-08-19*

This app has been so wonderful! I can easily submit absences, check grades and assignments, check schedules, check testing scores, get teacher messages, etc. and all my kids are there in the same place. It makes everything so much easier.

Only feedback is that I would like to be able to see the whole weeks schedule rather than just today’s schedule. One of my daughters only goes to 2 subjects and the times to take her changes every day. If there is an assembly or something it changes too.

Thanks for the genius app! You guys are great!

### 5/5 — Chill with the bad reviews

*2024-08-17*

This joint is not bad

### 5/5 — An app that highlights that the real problem in education is: parents!

*2022-09-30*

This app does what it’s supposed to do – no more, no less. And it does it as well as anything else out there on the market.

The problem is that parents are notoriously lazy bunch and can’t be bothered to read directions or instructions.

ParentVUE tracks your kids attendance, shows missing assignments and notes from the teacher, has an adequate group email function, and has historical documents and test scores. You really don’t want it to do anything else besides that, and it does all of those things quite well, if you bother to read the instructions.
