YOU CANT DO THIS IN THE APP. Furthermore, there’s no way to ascertain the “zone” i parked in - no map, no zone search tool, no clues about which zone is where. Nor is there any master document resource anywhere on the internet showing every zone in Austin. You literally can’t use this app unless you are standing exactly where you parked your car. For A “mobile” app, it seems like such a wasted opportunity that this app does not allow you to add time to an existing session i began at a street-side machine - you’d think it’d recognize my license plate right away and find the existing session. This is such an obvious feature, one has to wonder why the developers deliberately decided against this very helpful and handy feature. This app blew me out of the water. Clean and simple UI/UX and most importantly, no making an account bs. Also love the scrolling ‘add time’ design. People are complaining about the wallet requirements of $10. It’s $10! ParkATX will give refunds. My balance was refunded upon request, when I left ATX. To be clear - this app didn’t need to be half as good as it is to get the job done. Truly a shining beacon of UX joy bundled in a app. ### 5/5 — Cheaper than using meters! *2019-01-16* I see people dissing this app because of the convenience fee. For all of them, try this. Put three hours on a meter and see if you get a refund for your last unused hour. Didn’t think so! With this app, you set it to maximum when you park and then when you return, just click “end parking”. You only pay for what you use plus 25 cents. I literally parked for 41 cents yesterday. Meter has a one hour minimum. ### 5/5 — Convenient and freeing *2018-07-04, version 2.1* Let’s you pick any time within max time for zone. If you run out, you simply update right from your phone; wherever you are. Have been using for 2+ years and encourage anyone (at least in Austin tx) to, too. ### 5/5 — Convenient AF *2017-05-10, version 2.1* You can choose how long you want to pay for parking, don't have to go get a ticket from the machine, and if you're away from your car then you can add more time! It's not flashy, but it loads quickly and it is stable. Most importantly, it provides an extremely convenient feature for downtown parking. Why have an app if you can’t use it? Likely, this is a City of Austin issue, but it’s definitely a problem. I hope Park ATX can figure this out, because I would love to not have to go back to the pay station every few hours to re-up my ticket. ### 4/5 — Use it all the time *2017-12-09, version 2.1* I love the app because it's easy to use. Not a huge fan of the 10 credit minimum but I usually use it all anyways in 1 day. Also nice that there is a web version. The extra charge for convenience isn't that bad. It saves me from walking a mile away just to pay the meter so no big deal. ### 3/5 — Functional, but some ux improvements would be nice *2026-06-13, version 9.8.2* It for the most part works for me, but there are too many clicks and page loads. I often think I’m done after the screen with the slider to set my time and forget that you have to confirm on the next screen, thus not actually paying for my parking and not realizing it unless I go to add more time or get back to my car to discover a ticket. If the confirmation was a faster modal pop up, I think that might help, or if it pushed a notification if you got to the confirmation screen and didn’t confirm, that would also be great. I would also love a setting to turn off confirm to add more funds to wallet, since even if I remember the confirmation screen I’ve gotten got on that step. Additionally, the ability to look up parking zones by map would be handy in cases where I realize I’ve forgotten but have already walked away from my car. Right now my work around is to pull of google maps street view and hope they have a clear picture of the sign.
