## What is Parkaroo?

Quickly find on-street parking with the Parkaroo iPhone app. If you are frustrated weaving through city streets looking for parking or paying for an expensive garage, Parkaroo is the app for you.

What is Parkaroo?
Parkaroo connects you to a network of people in your city who give and get on-street parking spots using our app.

How Does it Work?
1. Click on a pin at your desired parking location.
2. If the departure time, street information, and seller rating are to your liking, click Reserve.
3. To reserve a spot you will need one credit. In return, you will receive the vehicle's color and brand. The vehicle location will now only be visible to you.
4. Once you are in the spot, click Complete Transfer. Finally, rate the seller.

Local Charities
We donate a portion of our profits to a charity in your city. Every time someone gives or gets a parking spot with Parkaroo, money goes to charity. Giving back to our community is a big part of our mission here at Parkaroo and, in addition to reducing traffic, partnering up with charities was a natural step for us to increase our impact on major cities.

I am so happy someone (a high schooler who can’t even drive himself yet) went out of their way to make finding parking in NYC easier! There more people use it the better it will be. Instead of wasting time circling around trying to find parking, you can just check for a spot on the app and reserve!

Developer claims they’re not selling parking spots yet they use the language “buyer” and “seller” in their app to describe the transaction. The app is allegedly free but will not let you find a spot without a credit, which are priced at $8.99.

Happy to check with the City of New York to see what they think of your business model.

Unofficial reserving of parking space. It shall be unlawful for any person to reserve or attempt to reserve a parking space, or prevent any vehicle from parking on a public street
through his/her presence in the roadway, the use of hand-signals, or by placing any box, can, crate, handcart, dolly or any other device, including unauthorized pavement, curb or street markings or signs in the roadway

We trade location and departure information, we don’t trade or sell physical parking spots. The app is free to download and free to use. This app, this app… Where to begin. Totally makes the worst part of Mahnhattan, the best part of Manhattan 🤩🤣. It makes parking so much easier, while donating to charity. GO DOWNLOAD NOW, DO IT RIGHT NOW😏

Selling parking spots should be illegal. This app is only giving a portion to charity so it doesn’t get banned. It’s trying to make it so you have to pay a private company every time you want to park your car. No thanks.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify we don’t sell parking spots. The app is free to download and free to use. All that we ask is that you leave your spot available once in a while. If you don’t want to give up your spot and help a neighbor there is an option to purchase a credit which the proceeds go to New York Cares and our marketing to make sure we can get more users so the experience is better for everyone. You do not need to pay for parking on Parkaroo in fact we don’t even encourage it we want people to give up there spots. Saw this app on the news and read the reviews. seems like the reviews are fake because they’re all 5 stars but there are no spots. The app doesn’t do anything

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to watch our CBS interview and giving us feedback. If you want to find out when new spots are made available make sure notifications are enabled.
