### 1/5 — Added charges

*2021-08-19, version 4.5.1*

This app works well but it adds a convenience charge of 20p every time you use it which really annoys me because the council get my money without having to print and issue a ticket and they don’t have to employ someone to empty cash out of the machine and yet somehow I’m the one who pays for this convenience? I’ll be removing this app as soon as I can! I know it’s only 20p but today I wanted a 1hour ticket (£1.30) so that’s an uplift of over 15% and that’s too high.

### 1/5 — Parking opps rubbish

*2021-08-12, version 4.5.1*

Down loaded app didn’t work easy if time rubbish

### 1/5 — Shockingly bad

*2021-07-31, version 4.5.1*

My husband has used this app before for our car ages ago, I am now in the car but it won’t allow me to set up an account it just wants me to log in but I don’t have an account, I’m just stuck in a loop of trying to pay for parking but not being able to because I don’t know login details but because the car is registered to my husbands account I can’t set up a new account - not to mention the fact that the area I am has poor 4g - I’m fuming this has ruined our day

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work and nearly made me late

*2021-07-22, version 4.5.1*

It couldn’t find the location I parked at, but after trying for 15 mins, it finally did. Then it continually rejected my £2.00 payment using both my card and Apple Pay. I would have happily tried for longer, but I had an exam at 10:15am, which is now over. If I get a ticket for parking here (which I had to do), you will be hearing from me.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-07-20, version 4.5.1*

Arrived in car park and downloaded the app. Inputted all the parking information and on trying to pay 3 times got messages saying payment failed. On checking my online bank payments had actually gone through. Rang customer services but gave up after 30 minutes on hold. Terrible service and app.

### 1/5 — What crap

*2021-06-30, version 4.5.1*

Can’t pay to continue to park when time runs out on the app so you have to start all over again with your details

Fix your damn app please

### 1/5 — Please sort

*2021-06-19, version 4.5.1*

Having worked well, the app now times out every attempt to use it.

### 1/5 — Conned into a additional fees

*2021-06-04, version 4.5.1*

Stickers supporting covid and contactless payments only to be hit with an additional fee.

### 1/5 — Can’t do the 1 hour free park

*2020-10-22, version 4.3.1*

Half the buttons on my local car park were not functioning so could not put in my ref number, and you cannot do the 1 hour free park on the app, you still have to use the machine. Also with Covid 19 around I’d prefer not to touch communal things so please fix the 1 hour free parking! Will amend rating if this is fixed with a future update.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-09-20, version 4.3.1*

Can’t pay without creating an account, can’t create an account as it says I don’t need to. Absolutely useless. 1 star is generous

### 1/5 — Don’t trust this app

*2020-09-01, version 4.3.1*

Used this for first time in Great Yarmouth, very slow app response despite 4G signal, received an error message saying the payment failed. Two days later the payment was taken. Tried contacting MiPermit but not getting anywhere. Try paying with cash before using this app.

### 1/5 — Thieves

*2020-08-30, version 4.3.1*

Convenience fee? Really? Why? You make enough money with extortionate rates. How is it a convenience for me to pay extra.

### 1/5 — Took payments but didn’t start a session

*2020-08-19, version 4.3.1*

Had to ring helpline as the app failed to work but took the payments anyway

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Hides Full Details to Trick You for Fines

*2026-01-21, version 4.13.5*

The app doesn’t display clear enough information on the parking charges, tricking you into thinking they don’t apply when they do. For example, it says charges are in force 08:00 to 18:00. But scroll down and there’s another section hidden with charges 17:00 to 08:00. They then give you a fixed penalty notice for not buying a ticket.

Of course you aren’t going to walk up to the machine to double check, you expect the app to make it clear.

### 1/5 — Mr Jason Waldron

*2025-08-06, version 4.13.2*

Wouldn’t let me extend my parking any longer than 10 minutes so I had run back to the car about half a mile away and hope that I didn’t get a parking ticket there wasn’t one on my windscreen so hopefully I haven’t

### 1/5 — Frustration by design

*2024-12-03, version 4.9.5*

Get rid of all the apps and just put a card reader on your darned parking meters.
I don’t want my data scraped or to register with an app simply to park my car.
The app system is utterly useless when you can’t get a signal. In fact, it’s just utterly useless.
Grow-up and just let us pay by card. I’m not going to use this piece of dross again.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2024-06-06, version 4.9.5*

Clicking the pay to park button does nothing but close the sidebar. App is not fit for purpose.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-03-11, version 4.9.5*

Cannot get it to accept any card

### 1/5 — Additional charges

*2023-12-30, version 4.9.5*

What isn’t obvious is that they add a charge for using the app.
Cheaper to just tap your card/phone at the machine. (Or use cash - does anyone do that?)

### 1/5 — Useless, Frustrating Rubbish App

*2023-11-22, version 4.9.5*

Tried using it today in Burnham Market Norfolk. Spent 10 minutes trying to pay then gave up and parked for free in the town. When talking about it in a shop the shopkeeper overheard and chipped in she wished she had a £1 for everyone she’d heard saying the app was unusable. The developers should probably test it before releasing. Awful app. Avoid.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2023-08-18, version 4.9.3*

No stars. App refused to let me pay for parking. It just did nothing apart from give me the option to pay which then wouldn’t let you cannot select. Absolutely nothing at all. Couldn’t pay, couldn’t park, missed a meeting!

### 1/5 — Convenience Fee

*2022-08-06, version 4.8.2*

They charge you extra, for doing their job for them. Use if you have to but self serve should not be more expensive

### 1/5 — Mr Highgate

*2022-03-01, version 4.8.2*

Totally useless. Tried two different locations. Neither accept contactless, only cash! Called help number and told to download this app. Says you don’t need to register for first payment, registration available only after first payment. Keeps going to login which it doesn’t accept as you can’t pay. Spoke to help again who said I need cash. Saw a real man from the parking enforcement who went through the app and agreed it didn’t work. Phoned help again and given 2 hours free virtual parking. Spent an hour in two different locations Cromer and Overstrand trying to pay for parking. Totally useless. Cash only in Norfolk. Beware!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Top app

*2025-06-30, version 4.13.2*

Great app, always use it in Norfolk.
I think it may have stopped my Watch so I turned off live activities.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2020-07-22, version 4.1.2*

Out of all of the parking apps this is by far the best! It’s doesn’t force you to create an account, you can just pop in your reg. You can pay by Apple Pay and there aren’t any unnecessary charges!

### 5/5 — An improvement over the last version

*2018-12-04, version 4.0.4*

I quite like the new version of this app. I’ve not had any issues with paying to park using it, just a shame more car parks in the area don’t use it as well. There’s a few little niggles but according to replies to reviews on the parent app it looks like they have them in hand for a new release.

### 4/5 — Inconvenience Charge

*2020-08-21, version 4.3.1*

The app is fine but the company add on a nasty charge of 20p when paying for your parking using the app. This is very frustrating when the reason you are having to use the app is because the machine at the car park is not working properly for card payment. It’s feels insulting that having experienced the inconvenience of having to download the app and go through the process to then have to pay something called a convenience charge - for the inconvenience of it all.

### 3/5 — Excess Charges

*2022-09-23, version 4.8.6*

I find these days I don’t have cash so ended up using the app, straight forward to use BUT 20p to use the app??? If I use cash a person has to drive and empty the machine = extra cost. Use the app NO person, NO driving, NO handling cash. So why does it cost more? Just another rip off to get extra cash, 20p x all the users = a nice little earner for no extra expense. The answer of it’s not the app that charges it’s the car park is not acceptable.
I recommend you get a bag of change and save yourself a few pence.

### 3/5 — Crashes

*2019-11-07, version 4.1.2*

App crashes if you try and access Account Details, please resolve for iOS12

### 2/5 — Missing the basics

*2024-07-25, version 4.9.5*

Compared to the other 9 parking apps on my phone this is the only one that can’t issue a receipt until the following day, benchmarking your app features is pretty simple…

### 2/5 — Unhelpful

*2021-08-19, version 4.5.1*

The app is reasonably easy to use, but not particularly intuitive, and gives little help to the new user. Most infuriating, even once one has paid there is no subsequent indication that one has done so. I consider this entirely unacceptable, and so have deleted the app.

### 2/5 — Ok

*2021-06-09, version 4.5.1*

Been using app for many months without problem, now it is impossible to pay for any parking as there is a ‘fraud suspicion’. There’s no easy way to confirm it’s you, even after contacting. Even tried adding another card

### 2/5 — Great concept

*2020-08-18, version 4.3.1*

This is a fantastic idea especially when we should be trying to use cash less to avoid contact. The only problem is when you have 8 or 9 people all stood round the ticket machine trying to get the app to work. All of us going through the process only to be told it had timed out and try again. Gave up in the end and put what little change I had in the machine . Technology is fantastic when it works but as much use as a bag of old ladies dirty knickers when it doesn’t 😎😎
