The Parkingpay app is the easiest way to use all types of paid parking spaces and pay for them automatically.

Stattdessen darf ich aus einer langen Liste die Parkzone auswählen, aber vor Ort ist kein Hinweis zu finden, wie die Parkzone heisst.

The app design is everything but contemporary. It‘s archaic. You may, by accident, choose the wrong location you thought you’re parking right now, (entries are to close to each other) and you may end up receiving a parking ticket, despite, having paid for the parking spot, only at a wrong location. Happened to me. It’s very frustrating. Please fix this ASAP.

Habs gleich wieder gelöscht, weil scheinbar nur Schweizer Autos registriert werden können. Ist das noch zeitgemäß nicht länderübergreifend zu denken? Warum kann man bei der Registrierung des Autos nicht vorher das Ursprungsland abfragen und danach nach die Plausibilität prüfen?

Stand in der Schweiz und hatte kein Kleingeld. App geladen, installiert, Angemeldet, Kreditkarte hinterlegt und bezahlt. Alles direkt aufs erste Mal.
Kann mich jetzt nicht beschweren.

Very poor, unstable mobile app. It takes time to get used to it, especially if you are coming from digitally more advanced markets such as USA, UK etc. But, once you get used to it, it works well.

Ich war von den negativen Bewertungen abgeschreckt, kann aber vom Gegenteil berichten: Die App zu installieren und sich zu registrieren ging super easy. Ich habe für drei Tage ein Parkhaus reserviert und konnte unkompliziert mit Apple Pay bezahlen. Vor Ort hat die Schranke mein Nummernschild erkannt und sich bei jeder Ein- und Ausfahrt während der drei Tage automatisch geöffnet. Ich fand das super entspannt und kann es nur empfehlen.

Haven’t used in anger yet but confidence not high as does not accept United Kingdom postal codes (Zip codes). You cannot complete registration without entering a numeric zip code. UK postal codes are alphanumeric and letters are not permitted in the Zip code field. Still better than one of your competitors that does not even recognise UK registration numbers!

In some areas on some days ( Sat, Sun) the parking fees are 50% of weekday fees. This app does not recognize those differences so you pay double. In normal world it is called theft.

### 1/5 — Update: CarPlay-Integration fehlt immer noch - neues Zahlsystem maximal unattraktiv

Was wirklich (immer noch!) fehlt bei einer App, die ja für das Parken von Autos konzipiert ist, ist die Intergration für Apple CarPlay - das sollte eigentlich heute selbstverständlich sein. 

Drei Sterne Abzug gibt es für das seit Anfang 2025 "neue" Bezahlsystem. Es gibt jetzt nur noch Vorkasse (mag ich nicht) oder Einzelzahlungen mit jeweils CHF 0.25 Aufschlag je Zahlung (!) Das ist beides für mich  wirklich maximal unattraktiv 🙁und keineswegs zeitgemäss. Und dabei immer noch kein ApplePay! 😕

Ich meide ParkingPay daher inzwischen, wo es nur geht. Auch in Parkhäusern (wo ich es früher durchaus praktisch fand mit der Plastikkarte).
