Never works, won’t accept my mobile, won’t accept my reg and won’t even let me pay!! Won’t use car park now, rather park further and use ringp as app never fails ### 1/5 — Pish *2026-02-10, version 1.2.1* I can only assume that the coding for this app was written by a single-celled organism wired to a desktop. It’s so bad, it’s like they don’t want you to pay, every payment gets declined. ### 1/5 — Zero Stars - rubbish *2026-01-17, version 1.2.1* If I was able to give zero stars I would. If I paid somebody a pound to build and maintain this app I would feel that I’ve overpaid by about a pound. Just booked my Parking. I received the invoice, 10p SMS charge for a reminder & 10p for confirmation of the parking ticket that I just bought. So I went into the app all the options were grayed out and it was at that point that grayed out means you’ve opted in and in fact you have to make it go red. So just to be clear why use the red and green? I know it’s hardly used in the UK except for traffic lights and other types of notifications but let’s go with it. Gray means you’ve opted in red means you’re out. ### 1/5 — Genuinely Awful *2026-01-03, version 1.2.1* Yet another car parking app demanding my personal details before I can pay to park my car. I make that the 8th one this year. To put the cherry on top it wouldn’t accept payment and kept returning an error message. Seems a recurring theme judging by the other reviews. Whoever commissioned this app would be better off paying for AI to redesign and rebuild a functional app that actually works. ### 1/5 — Literal Trash *2026-01-02, version 1.2.1* Your card will decline 5 times before it’s finally accepted - it’s literally a game of luck trying to get this app to work. Apple Pay isn’t supported to have to manually enter card details (it’s 2025 we stopped entering card details many years ago!) - this app is literal trash and is frustrating to say the least. Not only is the user interface ugly, nine times out of ten it simply doesn’t work. Unfortunately there is one car park in Leeds who made the foolish decision to work with Parkonomy so I have to keep this trash installed on my phone. Take some Inspo from RingGo and PayByPhone - their apps work perfectly! ### 1/5 — Never remembers login details *2025-12-31, version 1.2.1* Absolutely terrible UI and every single time it won’t recognise login details. I have to reset my password, it takes to safari and I’m logged in, but if I try login on the app with the same details, they don’t work. I now actively avoid parkonomy car parks because of this ### 1/5 — Park somewhere else *2025-12-28, version 1.2.0* Terrible app doesn’t accept any card details reviews going back years same issue. ### 1/5 — Couldn’t even pay for my parking *2025-12-24, version 1.2.0* What’s the point of this app ### 1/5 — Unusable App *2025-12-20, version 1.2.0* Uploading a card for payment does not work. No confirmation of profile created, no confirmation of payment method created. Please re-design the App so it can be functional. It logs you out, won’t recognise your new password, won’t take payment properly and won’t allow PayPal. I hardly ever review apps but this app has caused me so many issues I have had to find another car park for my local train station as I just can’t trust it. ### 1/5 — One star is generous *2025-12-13, version 1.2.0* Awarding this app one star suggests that it works. It doesn’t, but this system doesn’t allow a no-star rating. It does at least encourage social interaction as this evening there were seven people in the car park helping each other to try and get their parking recorded. We all had the same rejection message - credit card expiry date invalid. Trying a different card produced the same outcome. The app is difficult to use on a small screen anyway, but the developer’s inability to use a calendar was the real frustration inducer. ### 1/5 — Unable to pay *2025-12-12, version 1.2.0* Not able to register any cards for payment, apparently all of them (every single one) have an incorrect or invalid expiry date. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2025-12-07, version 1.1.0* Press pay, nothing happens... wtf ### 1/5 — World’s Worst App *2025-12-07, version 1.1.0* This is the WORST parking APP, it does not retain password, it is slow and clunky. An account is required. They keep your credit card details. App navigation is awful. Input errors are handled poorly. Location does not work. There are others but who has the time. Just don’t bother. Walk if you have to. The developers should hang their heads in shame. ### 1/5 — Scam Artists *2025-10-27, version 1.1.0* £0.15 for booking confirmation and £0.15 for booking reminder with no prompt. Criminal. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — How is this even legal? *2026-06-29, version 1.2.4* The car park I visited only allowed payments through this app, which coincidentally only allows you to book parking slots in advance, not pay retroactively for the time you’ve already been there. Received a nice PCN after paying for the time I thought I’d been there but guessed slightly wrong, which I now have to appeal. ### 1/5 — Barely functional app *2026-06-29, version 1.2.4* Easily the worst experience I’ve ever had using a carpark app to pay for parking. And goodness knows there’s some stiff competition for that title. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. Tried loads of times. *2026-06-12, version 1.2.4* Awful app. Doesn’t work. Took me longer to sort out parking than I needed to park. Zero app support as well. And because the UI is so appalling making even the most rudimentary of stupid mistakes, I have no confidence that my details would’ve stored securely. Sadly I had no choice as it was the only parking available and this was the app they used. ### 1/5 — Dangerous Info Security *2026-04-27, version 1.2.1* So when you sign up they ask you to create a user name and password, then they email your password to you .. what compounds this issue is the fact that they don’t accept Apple Pay and collect and display your credit card details on the app . Never had a problem using the app, Great app ### 5/5 — Works Really Well *2023-07-21, version 1.0.7* Really easy to navigate around, payment was quick and easy and charged the correct amount unlike some other apps! In the space of 2 minutes i had made my payment and was ready to carry on with the rest of my day without any worries. ### 4/5 — Good app *2024-07-10, version 1.1.0* I dont get it, why people say this app bad? Won’t avoid any car parks using this app but not too chuffed about a 10% booking fee. ### 2/5 — Poor UX and misleading interface *2024-07-09, version 1.1.0* Signed up and the app offers hourly and daily charging options. That’s great, but it doesn’t summarise the selection before payment. I set daily, then logged in, and it reset to hourly. Ended up having to extend by hours so paying more than I needed. I also turned off the (paid for) sms reminders but they were re enabled and I ended up paying for those.
