Phone reception is spotty and I couldn’t get the app to work at all. It’s easier to just park in a lot for the day. ### 1/5 — Garbage app *2021-11-12, version 1.1.0* I looked at the other reviews to make sure it wasn’t just user error on my part. Sadly the same issue I’ve been having with this garbage app is the same issue people have had for over 2 yrs. Complete waste. If St Johns County paid for the development of this app they need to sue them and get their money back ### 1/5 — Bad, even for a government app *2020-07-10, version 1.0.7* Had to create new account. Does not support Apple Pay in-app. Tried to copy and paste card number from LastPass. This app does not allow pasting of card numbers into the app. Tried flipping back and forth between LastPass and this app, but when changing to another app and back to this app, this app deletes all previously typed digits. Had to memorize card number long enough to type it in. Then it says it doesn’t take American Express. So I had to do it all again with another card. I know with a government app, expectations should be low, but this is bad even for the government. Needs: 1. Sign In with Apple 2. Apple Pay in-app 3. Take American Express ### 1/5 — App failure *2019-10-27, version 1.0.7* Tried to use app. Network error. There was no kiosk to use so had to go find another parking spot. Keeps telling me “network error.” I have no network error. Rebooted. Closed. Tried again. Doesn’t accept valid credit cards. *2025-10-03, version 9.3.6* On Thursday October 2, 2025, I was unable to add two valid credit cards to the app. The app threw and error and responded with “Invalid card”. I was unable to get this working trying multiple times for fifteen minutes. This was with the latest version of the app which I downloaded yesterday. Ultimately was unable to pay for parking on time. In-app support was unable to help resolve the issue. ### 1/5 — Payment methods challenges *2025-09-22, version 9.3.6* I add a valid card, but it will fail when I try to use it for payment. I tried adding a debit card and get “network failures”… very frustrating having to use the meter stands. ### 1/5 — Piece of junk *2025-04-02, version 9.3.6* Just pay at the meters. This app does not work. ### 1/5 — Piece of junk *2024-12-23, version 9.3.6* This app is a piece of junk - it wouldn’t work and had to use one of the kiosks in the parking lot. I need to see if our St Johns County resident discount was added. I was not able to extend twice on the app and ended up with a $25 citation for overtime as we were walking back to the car. I guess I should have just paid for the full time allowed of 3 hours. Loved the park now card. Hate the app. Why get rid of the card and force me to have yet another parking app on my phone? ### 1/5 — Really sad money grab. *2023-12-17, version 9.3.6* It's sad that a city that relies on tourism would institute such a non tourist friendly app. There's so many great parking apps out there. The app itself is fine, it's the fact they made tourists download and set up an app instead of using one of the prexisiting parking apps. Shame on you St. Augustine. ### 1/5 — Fines and fees are criminal! *2023-03-07, version 9.3.6* Just try to avoid parking in these areas! $10.00 for 4 hrs max is not bad, but if you go over its a $25.00 citation and another $1.35 for online payment. The guy next to me didnt even pay the first time, so bikes were there same amount of time, he paid the violation at $25.00 and I ended up paying $36.35!!! ### 1/5 — No credit cards accepted *2022-11-22, version 9.3.6* Only takes credit cards if you have a parknow card. Only residents can use a parknow card. It used to charge directly to a credit card. ### 1/5 — Crooked way for St Aug to collect fines *2022-07-30, version 9.3.5* I certainly think I the app is convenient, but I’m disappointed that you’re charged a “convenience fee” to use it. I also think it’s almost criminal to not have the app prompt you when the session is about to expire OR to inform you at 8 a.m. that if you’re still in the spot after hours, that the fees will resume again. Please fix this. I got a $25 citation (plus convenience fee to pay it) for parking from 8:00 to 8:40 because of this. ## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great App *2025-12-02, version 9.3.6* I have been using this app for a few years. It’s great. Never had an issue for overtime parking. Always get a text to add money. BTW if you’re having trouble adding a payment method, turn off wifi ### 5/5 — Useless *2020-02-02, version 1.0.7* This is a useless app. It does not include access to preloaded amounts on a Parknow card so most locals that would have this card can’t use this app. Nonlocals would not likely have this app as they would be unlikely to even know about it. ### 3/5 — Works well enough *2022-10-10, version 9.3.5* It would be very helpful if the banner that pops up to tell you why the lot you are in is not available (ie.
