The last time I had tickets to an afternoon Pirates game I had to park in the Strip District, because I couldn’t find any available parking in town. I used the ParkWhiz app to prepay and reserve parking in the Gateway Center Garage, an easy walk to PNC Park. It worked great! Update: The second time I tried to use the app, it didn’t work quite as well. It had the wrong start time for the event I was attending, so I didn’t use it for fear I would not be able to enter the parking garage when I needed to. ### 2/5 — Beware the Rules *2026-08-18, version 11.5.7* I used to really like the app. Worked like a charm but beware, if you enter the place you parked earlier than your arrival time (less than 10 minutes in my case) you will be charged the extra time at whatever the regular fees are for that lot even if you leave the lot hours before your departure time. Customers service is no help and will not refund you the difference. Also, customer service is a generous use of the word service. I subsequently contacted the app's support team, but no one ever responded—neither to my phone calls nor my emails; I was completely ignored. ### 1/5 — Limited and terrible support *2026-07-30, version 11.5.6* I seem to have issues with this app more so than SpotHero. There’s no option to extend your time limit like SpotHero and this rain. This difficult situations that I had to pay twice when I finally got around to asking for a refund they said it was over the 14 day. And they wouldn’t refund kind of disappointed and will not use this app again. ### 1/5 — Fraud and taking money *2026-07-26, version 11.5.5* I was charged three separate times, I have evidence I was charged three times and these guys tried to say I’m making up secret transactions. Guy over the phone was super unprofessional mentioned that even though I had times stamps and evidence of each charge and they still said I was only charged once. This is ridiculous. After I this I’m completely shutting down my account first time using this app and it was a horrible experience. Never again ### 2/5 — Seaport screw-up *2026-07-25, version 11.5.5* Booked a space in a Seaport garage in Boston , $29 plus $5 fee then the QR code wouldn’t work at the gate, had to pay $42 to get the attendant to open the gate- hassle and very expensive day for parking. Did not work for me, have applied for a refund but that process made it clear that it is unlikely that there will be a refund. This app is not reliable in Boston ### 2/5 — Customer service is horrible *2026-07-23, version 11.5.5* App works great but when it glitches then good luck getting help. You need a refund you’ll have to go through your bank and file a claim. ### 1/5 — No customer support *2026-07-20, version 11.5.5* They charge you an extra $15 claiming that a Tesla Model Y is oversize. You call their call center and wait 20 minutes to talk to an agent who then hangs up on you. ### 1/5 — Junk *2026-07-17, version 11.5.5* This app sucks. Randomly logs me out on a regular basis and this time deleted my car’s license plate and won’t let me add it back because of a “server error.” Low-budget, trash interface and they do nothing to improve anything. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-07-17, version 11.5.5* I booked parking through this app in several different cities, but it failed every time. As a result, I had to pay for parking twice on multiple occasions. I wouldn't recommend it. ### 1/5 — Poor user experience *2026-07-15, version 11.5.4* Used in Los Angeles for World Cup and was give conflicting directions. Couldn’t get a refund so ended up paying twice for parking. Will not use service again. Their business lacks adequate customer service. ### 1/5 — Got screwed; no help *2026-07-09, version 11.5.4* ParkWhiz told me to show my parking pass to the garage attendant after parking. But there was no attendant present - only a security guard who said he could do nothing and that everything was automated. I tried to call the ParkWhiz help line, but I could not get through. So, I left, trusting that ParkWhiz would take care of things. Big mistake. I came back four hours later, picked up the car and drove off, still having seen no sign of an attendant or any way to verify that all was well. A month later, I got a $100 bill from the garage owners threatening to boot or tow my car if I didn’t pay up. I contacted ParkWhiz but could raise only an AI chatbot that kept telling me ParkWhiz was just a third party vendor and that I would have to deal directly with the garage. The garage, of course, has been wholly unresponsive. There are other parking brokers out there. I suggest you use one of them instead of trusting this company. ### 1/5 — Nightmare *2026-07-09, version 11.5.4* I purchased the parking pass for what the app alleged was a 24 hour public lot. upon arrival the attendant refused to open the gate to the lot, he stated the lot was exclusively for monthly clients. The app does not allow you to request a refund, you must email. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-07-09, version 11.5.4* They let Me book a parking spot but didn’t check that the parking lot was already completely full. Couldn’t park. Ended up showing late. Wasted gas. I tried to contact them through phone and app for a refund but they only let you speak to a simple, unhelpful bot. It’s mandatory through work which is why a lot of us have to put up with this. The app never works. You are then asked to book the parking through website, and then that’s what is to reflect on the app. I even emailed with someone from the tech support, and they tried, but to absolutely no avail. It’s a poorly developed app with a lot of open issues. Poorly tested. Like 3 in 4+ years. Each time I call support and they are courteous and just solve the issue. Not once have they failed. Great company to work with. ### 5/5 — Fantastic and easy parking app *2026-04-25, version 11.4.5* Thank you ParkWhiz! I never thought I could love a parking app! First time using was during the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, where parking was running $100-250 per day and in very short supply. ParkWhiz showed me a $30 security parking garage within a couple blocks of the events. ParkWhiz not only made it easy to reserve and prepay, but also added 3 hours of parking at no extra charge. When we arrived at the garage after navigating all the traffic and street closures, I just scanned the code, was welcomed by name on the entry screen, and ParkWhiz followed with a text connecting us to their help line if we had any issues. Leaving late at night, we scanned the code again to enter the locked garage lobby, and again to drive out of the garage with a message on the screen thanking me by name. ParkWhiz really helped take away the stress and add to our enjoyment of the day. ### 5/5 — SCAM! BEWARE with NO REFUNDS *2026-03-26* This app has turned bad. Recently I have had Multiple bad experiences to the point I am deleting the app. I like purchasing parking ahead especially in LA because looking for parking is stressful! Three times now they emphasized no refunds even for reasonable issues. I couldn’t use the first parking and they refused to refund me even though the parking date was weeks away. Then I used it for an event recently, the parking attendant said they don’t take the app that day and when I messaged ParkWhiz to refund me they never responded to multiple emails. Poor customer service, wants the money and no refunds even if you didn’t use their service! Third time I arrived and the parking attendant said they were full and to take it up with the app even though I prepaid. Parkwhiz said they would refund me, got an email saying I was refunded, 2 weeks later, checked my bank and it wasn’t refunded so check your bank. I disputed it and they responded right away saying once the parking time starts it too late to dispute so my bank sided with them. Lost $30+ each time, will be reporting to the BBB especially with fake refunds and promises! They also hide bad reviews! **Developer response:** We’re so sorry to hear this! Once your account is set up, you’ve added your vehicles, and you have a regular place that you like to park, it’s two clicks and you have your parking pass. It takes me 15 seconds to buy a new pass when I need one.
