## What is Parley?

Parley is a messaging app where the contacts are the most interesting people who ever lived.

Text Marcus Aurelius at 6am about a decision you're dreading. Ask Sun Tzu why your team keeps missing deadlines. Send Van Gogh a photo of the sunset outside your window and see what he says about the light.

They answer as themselves.

NOT AN ASSISTANT
Every contact is a specific mind with specific opinions. Socrates will not answer your question — he'll ask you four more. Marcus Aurelius will tell you what is and isn't in your control, and he will not soften it. They have positions they'll defend, subjects they refuse, and things they simply don't know, because they died before those things existed.

THE APP YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW TO USE
Two looks, switchable any time, both fully at home on your phone. Typing indicators. Read receipts. Last seen. Replies arrive after a plausible pause, split across a few messages, the way a person actually texts.

ANYONE YOU CAN NAME
Can't find someone? Search their name and tap Find them. Parley researches them, writes their voice, and adds them to your contacts — and to everyone else's, so the next person gets them instantly.

GROUP CHATS
Put several of them in one thread and let them argue. Every round is bounded, so a conversation can't run away with itself.

ATTACH A PHOTO
One image per message. They'll react to it in character.

THEY REMEMBER
One line per day you talk, so a contact knows roughly where you left off — without bringing up your Tuesday unprompted.

SEVEN LANGUAGES
English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Arabic and Korean. They reply in your language, in their own register.

Every contact in Parley is an AI simulation built from the public record. No contact is the real person, none speaks for them, and nothing they say is a genuine quotation. Replies are generated and can be wrong. Nothing in Parley is professional advice.
