After and sometimes while using the app, the keyboard will no longer pop up to type. I have isolated the issue to use of this app. Hopefully they can correct this as it’s very frustrating. ### 2/5 — Keyboard disappears *2024-11-27, version 3.0.12* This is a good app and for what you can do, I would give it a higher rating - but when you try and edit a script more than once the keyboard disappears and the only way to get it back is a hard reset of your phone. It’s so frustrating and embarrassing to have to do when you’re working with a client. Add a donation button or subscription or something so we can help support the development of the app. ### 2/5 — Keyboard bug *2024-09-29, version 3.0.12* The keyboard on my iPhone does not show up when I try to edit a script within the app. But when I disable the Bluetooth (the teleprompter remote control is not longer in use) the keyboard pops up in the app. I am not sure the correlation of the Bluetooth disabling the keyboard as I never had issues using my wireless headphones and other devices via Bluetooth. ### 3/5 — App makes keyboard go away *2024-02-29, version 3.0.10* The app itself is fine it works well the issue I have is that the app it’s self after using it makes your keyboard go away from the phone for every app and the only way you can get it back is hard resetting your phone which is very annoying. Add a donation button or subscription or something so we can help support the development of the app. ### 3/5 — Be aware of an annoying “feature” *2023-04-25, version 3.0.8* If you get the Padcaster with the remote, this software includes an annoying feature (as of v3.0.8) that can cause an iPhone on-screen keyboard to go into hiding if the Bluetooth remote is connected… for ALL APPS! I think it might have something to do with the Bluetooth remote making the iPhone think that a keyboard is connected, but my experience with the problem has been intermittent. Two fixes that I am aware of to get the on-screen keyboard to come back: 1. Restart your iPhone… PIA! 2. Cycle Bluetooth off .. less annoying. Other than that, it’s OK. ### 2/5 — This thing is so frustrating *2022-11-14, version 3.0.7* I can’t paste my text into the script. There is literally no paste option. The paste popup won’t appear. Great, affordable set up (with hardware) and easy to navigate app. I film a lot of videos for work and use this to display every script. That being said, this app has LITERALLY the most annoying bug I’ve ever seen with an app. Everytime I use it (literally every single time), the moment I’m done filming a script in parrot, my keyboard for my phone disappears!!! I can’t get it back without restarting my whole phone, it’s INSANE. almost willing to pay triple not to deal with this glitch. Would be 5 star if it weren’t for that. Terrible bug. ### 1/5 — Keyboard Disappearing during/after use. *2024-07-07, version 3.0.12* I wholeheartedly believe in this company, as I purchased the Kickstarter Teleprompter and noticed that it came with this app, which was very convenient. I’m giving us a one star review due to the fact of the massive inconvenience that I have to go through by turning off and on my phone. Sometimes I need to edit something in the middle of recording, and when I stop to go back into the app to fix a word, the keyboard goes unavailable for all apps… at first, I thought it was a glitch so I looked for updates and sure enough nothing has changed. I know the company has worked very hard at developing their Teleprompter, but they need to put equal amount of work into their app. I do like the app and the convenience, especially with the remote however this is beyond annoying and I really hope that they get to fixing this as soon as possible with a nice update… I use my Teleprompter weekly for my real estate videos and my self motivational videos and time is money so Parrett needs to get their stuff together please so I can continue enjoying their products. I will update my review when this gets fixed. ### 1/5 — Not worth the space on my phone *2024-03-25, version 3.0.10* Received my podcaster pro today and was excited to download the app…or not. Keyboard stops working when the remote is attached. Autoscroll only no voice recognition. I only use the teleprompter for for quotes, the rest is off the cuff. My other app starts scrolling again when I read the next quote and then stops when I do back to free speech, trines and repeat. If they fix these two items I will use the app and update my review. Being able to pull from something like google drive would also be helpful since all my scripts are there. Copy and paste from my Mac to the phone is effortless though and not a big deal. ### 1/5 — buggy and constantly stuck *2024-03-15, version 3.0.10* The app is great when it works, but so frustrating when it doesn't (which is most of the time). The "New Script" page almost always gets stuck. They’re gone for a fraction of a second and then back again. The app didn’t even quit… it just deleted my script and lost all my work. Very cool *2026-02-09, version 3.0.12* I tried so many apps before finally jumping onto this app, so easy and intuitive at the same time this app is, sure you won’t get many reviews online but since its so amazingly simple to use, it doesn’t need paid reviews for this app. Job well done. The cool thing is that it’s completely free and has dropbox integration. Just hit download and you will thank me later. It’s that amazing. I was using the Desview app and constantly having to apologize to on-screen talent for formatting errors. It would randomly separate words, with no way to correct. I was also having issues with the iPhone keyboard disappearing when I’d use the app. IYKYK. I stumbled upon this app and was immediately impressed that it handled text and formatting flawlessly! However, the keyboard still disappeared once I started controlling the app with my Bluetooth remote. I eventually figured out the real issue. The iPhone thinks that the Bluetooth remote is an external keyboard, so it hides the on screen one. This is no fault of the app. Simply disable Bluetooth or turn off remote temporarily, when text edits are needed. ### 5/5 — Great software *2023-08-02, version 3.0.10* This is has all you need and a lot more functionality than other apps - very stable and easy to use on my iPad Air ### 5/5 — Best teleprompter app *2023-07-14, version 3.0.10* A great app for a phone teleprompter. Since it’s recent update, it’s solved all the bug issues and works perfectly. The only feature I’d love to see added is having the app be able to listen to the speaker and move each line as it’s spoken. This is a feature on some of the super expensive options, but could totally be integrated here.
