Checked with a few others and they’re getting it too. ### 3/5 — Was great now every time I go in… *2024-06-21* I get a message “There was an error getting the forecast.” Tried going to app support but there security certificate expired so I don’t want to chance going to the site if there’s a security risk. Most customizable as to what data to display, well organized and worth the few pennies charged. 2 taps and you can change data displayed. I tried 7 different apps from The Weather Channel to Weather to Weather Underground. Nothing comes close. No widgets, no dark mode icons, no meaningful improvement in years, etc. Also he doesn’t communicate with any of his users. It’s been like this for well over a week with no updates from the dev. Used to be my go to weather app. For the past few weeks whenever I try to load it I get a message that says “Error getting the forecast”. I tried to go to the developers site for help but the security certificate lapsed and I keep getting a message “site not safe”. It used to be one of the best weather apps in the App Store, but the dev has gotten lazier and lazier over time. It hasn’t been updated in more than a year, and even when he was updating it, no new features (like widgets for example) were being added. Now, as others have stated it only displays an error message when trying to view the weather. Time to move on. I buy the in-app purchase more to support the developer than for the additional features, which is a serious endorsement because I’ve rarely ever done that. Simple, clean, easy to read, with everything I want and nothing I don’t. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Extremely needs suiting! *2024-07-06, version 1.4.13* I’ve been a Partly Sunny user for years now, and while there’s been some quirky downtime (particularly around weather sources, if I recall correctly), Joe’s always been responsive via email/social media and gets an update up relatively quick. Once “Check The Weather” stopped working, Partly Sunny’s been my go-to. It’s not something I use during severe (midwest) storms, but day-to-day it’s the only one I actually like looking at, the only one that’s not grating to use, and it doesn’t insult my intelligence. You won't be disappointed. The radar that has been added is a welcomed addition to me, especially when I am traveling.
