## What is Party Initiative Tracker?

Run combat smoothly. Never lose track of whose turn it is.

Party Initiative Tracker keeps turn order clear during tabletop RPG combat — whether everyone shares one iPad or each player uses their own phone.

SET UP YOUR PARTY Create a new party or join one with a code. Build the roster on a single device, or let each player add their own characters from their phone. Save characters as presets and bring them back for your next session.

ROLL INITIATIVE The DM starts an initiative call. The app can roll for everyone automatically, or players can enter their own results. Set a max dice value in Settings, or enter any roll manually.

FIGHT WITH CONFIDENCE Combat begins and turn order is set. The active player is highlighted and notified when it’s their turn — tap to advance and the app handles the rest. Track optional health, drop characters out of combat mid-fight, and keep rounds organized without juggling paper or spreadsheets.

BUILT FOR THE TABLE
• Works with D&D, Pathfinder, and any turn-based RPG
• Multi-device parties — everyone stays in sync
• Re-join recent parties from the login screen
• Invite friends with a shareable link
• Optimized for iPhone and iPad

Less bookkeeping. More playing.

### 5/5 — Genuinely listens to feedback.

*2026-07-03*

My family and I reached out and asked if he could add a color wheel and he emailed us back and stated that he would add one! Cool to see a dev that cares!

### 3/5 — Some nice features, but some important negatives as well.

*2025-03-26*

Left a review before and it was wiped.

Worst part about this app is it's all online based. Not onlne? Nope. Can't use. Don't want to have all your players log in, just want a DM initiative tracker? Nope. Want to have it persist between sessions? Nope. Online rooms time out, all your hard work, gone. Want to add a large group of entries that persist? Nope, can't do that. Want to create a bunch of presets. Sure ok, you can do that. But when you make changes to the entry it won't save. You will have to completely delete that entry and re-make it to get it to save as a preset. Want to have access to a large pool of colors to mark lots of different groups? Nope. We'll give you a small pool and leave out some primaries, just because. My first review was a lot more tactful, but nothing here is exaggerated or untrue. This is how it is. Don't waste your money.

Developer reached out and replied, which was really nice. I feel bad about the negative review now, but while it isn't tactful, it isn't untrue. I did change it to 3 stars, and changed the title, for reaching out and communicating with me because I find that to be impressive and will happily raise it further if there are any positive changes in the future.

In reply to your response: I'd used the app for a long time before I left this review. The timing out wasn't a one time thing. It happens every session. We play sessions every other Sunday and the room has never lasted until the next session. In reality though, you don't need the room to persist forever; what it really needs is a way to save so it can resume in the future. Anyway, thank you very much for your reply.

**Developer response:** Thanks for a honest review. This was a short passion project and the reason for putting it behind a payment was to at least try to break even with the server cost.

About the rooms timing out, did you try restarting the app or re-entering the room? They are not deleted and as such you can re-enter them at any time if you remember the room code.

Being able to run it offline is a good idea, but needs a refactor to the networking layer. I'll see if I can find some time in the following weeks.

### 2/5 — Deleting negative reviews

### 1/5 — New update

*2024-02-14*

The update 2/2024 has crashed the app. It is currently nonfunctional.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the response. Could you send us email using the "Feedback" option in the Settings tab explaining under which circumstances the app crashes.

### 2/5 — Easy to use needs improvement

*2023-11-21*

It’s a great app so far the only problem is the dice values modifiers needs to be between 1-20 but initiatives have a 0 value or even negative values -1, -2, -3 so on.

**Developer response:** Hi and thanks for the feedback.

This was added in the version 1.3 and should soon be available to all players!

Best, Ivan

### 5/5 — This is great!

*2021-03-13*

This app is easy and simple to use it’s really a great initiative tacker. We’ve saved so much time not having to erase and rewrite our initiative on a random whiteboard. I recommend this app to anyone who plays D&D and needs initial attacker. Or any other role playing game.
I recommend color coding your characters as well so it’s easier to figure out who is who at first glance!

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work well on one device

*2020-03-10, version 1.0*

As far as I can see using one device to manage all initiative doesn’t work, it just always says it’s the first persons turn then doesnt have a way to say their turn is done without deleting them from initiative entirely. Pretty useless for me as a DM since it’s annoying to get all my players to download this just to click a button.

### 5/5 — Needs to have an option for a zero or negative initiative modifier

*2019-11-17*

Great, simple tracker and would be 5 stars if it didn’t require the modifier to be a number between 1 and 20. If updated, I will change my score. Otherwise, it is a really awesome app.

**Developer response:** Hi and thanks for the feedback. This was added in the version 1.3 and should soon be available to all players! Best, Ivan

### 5/5 — Very easy and simple to use!

*2019-07-14, version 1.0*

Very simple yet easy to use, the best part is that all players can be involved! Speeds combat along!
