The latest news for most sections is not new, but it is multiple days old. This used to be a quality app and newspaper, but it acts more like a weekly than a daily. ### 1/5 — Subscription??? *2014-01-19* This app used to work well and I can get both the headline and the articles. Now, every time I clicked on the news it asked me for my subscription login! This app is no longer useful to me. Update: it is now working. Don't bother to check it in the morning since they probably haven't even posted news from 2 days ago. You’ll need your reading glasses, or maybe a magnifying glass, just to read the headlines. Hard to comment on the content, because I can’t read the news stories. I wanted to support my local paper, but how can any decent newspaper have such carelessness about it’s readers? ### 1/5 — Ads make the app virtually unusable *2018-10-09* I like to keep up with local news however it really can’t be done using this app. It is impossible to read any of the articles. Ads pop up every few seconds filling the entire screen. Closing one only makes another one pop up. It’s like playing whack-a-mole. ### 1/5 — Has Issues with IOS 11.4.1 *2018-08-30* Upon opening the app the screen turns white and the app closes into the background. If I swipe, then I find that the app has in fact opened in the background and I can bring it to the front. However, if I attempt to select anything on the app to change pages, then the app once again turns completely white and collapses to the background. And, again I will find that whatever page I chose has opened in the background and I can move that page into the foreground. This is not a very convenient way to navigate the app. ### 1/5 — Pasadena Star-Ads *2015-10-13* Seriously? Two ads on each page, taking up a third of the screen. OK, you gotta get paid so I'll deal with it. Then a full-page ad pop-up. This is the next one and It is better.
