Touring through Wine and Farming Country in Paso Robles. The Paso Robles wine growing region features rolling hills spotted with live oak trees nestled amongst vineyards and agricultural landscapes. This application shows you the location and information about wineries, farms, olive oil production, roadside food stands, and some of our favorite restaurants in California's Central Coast. Requires OS 8.0+ for IPhone and IPad - Includes a local database of over 200 wineries, olive oil tasting, farm stands and farms with tours, food providers, and restaurants - Data is not downloaded from a website so Internet connection is not required though is needed for Google Map updating. - Map data is cached to allow touring in areas without internet service. - Filter by type of locations (Winery, Olive Oil, Farm, or Food) - Approximate distance from location to current position is shown. *Location services required. - Detailed view with information about the location. You can also launch the map application to get directions, check the website, call, or send email. - Email an update from the application to the website. - View live Twitter updates from wineries, restaurants, and attractions in the area. - Post Twitter updates and replies inside the app (Twitter account required). Coming Features include user reviews of each location as well as marking your favorite location, events and featured activities. We rely on user feedback to improve the data and add new locations. From the map view or location detail view, tap the note link to send in feedback. * Note: Since many of the back roads in Paso Robles are out of cell phone range, make sure and view the maps of the area in the Application while you are within coverage. That way the map will be in the memory cache while you are driving around. We go to Paso Robles and the central coast and love to try new wineries this app helps us find them!!! Love it!!! ### 4/5 — Useful guide *2010-05-10* Quite complete listing of wineries, restaurants, and locations, with phone numbers. One of my favorites, Le Cuvier, shows up on Google Maps, but not in this app. When it's update time, something to consider. ### 3/5 — Nice app but ... *2010-02-24* Many map markers are way off the actual locations. Some are on the wrong road. Looks like they used mailing addresses for the marker locations. Most wineries are reasonably close to their actual locations. The filter isn't very useful but helps reduce clutter. The profile information is basic at best. The app is worth having and even worth paying for it. However, it is mostly a huge list of wineries with little useful help for deciding which ones to visit. ### 3/5 — Nice *2010-01-19* This app is nice. I'm a limo driver that is always driving around Paso.
