### 4/5 — Doesn’t work anymore

*2025-03-03, version 0.18.0*

Since last iOS update thé application doesn’t work. Please fix

### 4/5 — 0.18.0 Wieder funktionsfähig

*2025-03-02, version 0.18.0*

Danke für den schnellen Patch !

### 4/5 — Good application

*2025-01-08, version 0.16.0*

The application is good. It does what it is supposed to do and rarely ever bothers you. Quickly access your self hosted passwords and integrate with the pass you use on the CLI. Perfect.

It’s free and has no ads. Although I would prefer the author to charge some money so the app is maintained slightly better. Pushing to the repo with locally generated passwords tends to fail more than it passes despite me verifying the settings multiple times.

Nonetheless would definitely recommend.

### 4/5 — No support for Intel-based MacBooks

*2024-12-08, version 0.14.0*

I really like this app on my iphone. Missing support for Intel-based MacOS means real pain for me.

### 4/5 — Meilleure Gestionnaire de Mots de Passe

*2024-04-07, version 0.14.0*

### 5/5 — 1

*2023-09-03, version 0.14.0*

Awesome application to manage pass passwords \o/ Works like a charm and sync with git repo. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Great app with one missing funcs

*2023-05-03, version 0.14.0*

Overall great app and properly implementing everything it’s needs. With one exception: multi store support. Especially separating private and work store is considered as a best practice. Sadly I’ve found no possibility yet, adding both stores to the app

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-04-04, version 0.14.0*

This is by far the most powerful yet minimalistic password manager on ios. Much respect to the developers 🫀🫀🫀
Secure you p*rnhub accounts everyone! 😉

### 5/5 — Perfectly executed

*2023-03-29, version 0.14.0*

This app is the reason password store is available as a universal solution. Amazing work.

### 5/5 — Keeps getting better

*2023-03-22, version 0.14.0*

The recent updates have been fantastic - on of my frustrations was the app leaving the page for a particular password when the app closed which was frustrating when I needed to copy over multiple fields. This was fixed in a recent update along with some UI updates I really enjoy. Thanks for the app Mingshen!

UI-kit

*2023-03-22, version 0.14.0*

### 5/5 — Great tool

*2023-03-20, version 0.14.0*

Does everything it should.
The latest bug was fixed within a week. Great job. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Support for macOS - Ventura?

*2023-03-19, version 0.13.0*

Hello,
is it possible to support macOS - Ventura with M2 chip in the future (macbook air)? At moment it doesn't work here.
Thank you!
best regards

### 5/5 — Fails to open on iPad

*2023-03-16, version 0.13.0*

Hi
Love the app. Latest update fails to open on iPad.

### 5/5 — A raving fan

*2022-12-21, version 0.12.0*

A password manager that doesn’t charge a SaaS fee? That’s open source? That Jets you use your own PGP keys? That’s simple, fast, and backs up to GitHub?

I’m in heaven. Thank you to the developer. A million thank yous.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I don’t know if it’s only me

*2025-02-26, version 0.17.0*

Hi, I have been using the app since beta, loved a lot. Last update broke something, I cannot auto fill password anymore, can only copy from the app itself. Reinstalled and reconfigured from scratch, still no fill from any app (Safari, Firefox…). Thanks

### 1/5 — Github issue

*2024-10-11, version 0.14.0*

Cannot clone the repo via https

### 1/5 — not saving to git repo?

*2024-08-20, version 0.14.0*

updated entry doesn't push to git repository? and there's no option in the UI to save? and no idea where it clones the git repo to?

### 1/5 — Good app, fundamental flaw

*2021-03-14, version 0.11.0*

When i input my ascii armor key, it says “success“ doesn’t actually save the key. When I check the key, the text field that I pasted it into is empty!
This results in me being unable to view my passwords.

### 1/5 — Failed to import pgp keys

*2019-02-12, version 0.5.1*

As a Linux user I really wanted this to work. Qr code import failed to read. URL import failed from iCloud. iTunes is not an option because apple is afraid of Linux. I had to upload the keys in plain text and paste into the app, as soon as I entered the password for the private key it crashed and won’t restart. 2048 keys installed now I’m having a problem with ssh. I’ll change my review if I ever get some support.

### 2/5 — Issues creating entries using YubiKey

*2025-05-01, version 0.18.0*

I set up YubiKey as the PGP-Key. Pulling passwords from Git works and I can decrypt them using the YubiKey. But trying to create new password fails with “Cannot add password
Please make sure PGP key and Git server are properly set.”

### 2/5 — Lacks basic features

*2021-01-16, version 0.11.0*

Documentation is lacking. Doesn’t seem to be a way to create an ssh key to clone a repo. Since my server doesn't allow password auth that makes this app useless.

### 2/5 — A joke

*2020-09-29, version 0.9.0*

No support for yubikey Nfc means unusable!

### 2/5 — Import

*2020-06-27, version 0.9.0*

The import of gpg key doesn’t seem to work all that well

### 3/5 — App crashes and lacks basic features

*2023-03-21, version 0.14.0*

A week ago or so the app starting crashing whenever I try to open it, nothing is shown and nothing happens. And when it does load, it lacks the feature to change the git url without cloning everything again. My git server changes its IP addresses ever so often, and I don’t want to lose all of my local changes just to pull changes.

EDIT: doesn’t crash anymore, but a feature to change the git url without cloning would still be awesome

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple and useful

*2025-12-07, version 0.18.0*

This is a very good mobile client for Pass. The app is very quick with basic interface which I prefer.
It enables you to connect to your own git server and has a share sheet integration for pasting passwords into forms.
I hope that the developer will keep the app up to date for long time to come. It’s the most useful app I have on my phone.
Seems so far there is no feature bloat which is great too.

### 5/5 — Finally! It works!

*2025-10-20, version 0.18.0*

It took me a long time to understand why it doesn’t work, but it’s working now.

### 5/5 — Just works!

*2025-07-01, version 0.18.0*

If you know what you’re doing its an awesome solution

### 5/5 — Works great

*2025-05-22, version 0.18.0*

A happy pass user since years, highly recommended

### 5/5 — Great tool, just follow instructions carefully

*2024-02-28, version 0.14.0*

I love passforios.

At first, it seemed difficult to get it to work, but it wasn’t all that hard. I copied my keys over my local home network from the computer into the phone app. It was actually quite easy getting it to work.

### 5/5 — Perfect app for pass users

*2023-12-26, version 0.14.0*

For someone who uses the pass command on my Linux and MacOS computers, this app is a godsend. I’ve been using this app for about 5 years and it does exactly what it says, works extremely well, and doesn’t ever get in your way. I’ve tried tons of different password managers which hound you on upsells and look like crap. This app does one thing and does it well, while looking good in the process. It looks like it belongs right in iOS and is one of my favorite tools in my iOS toolbox. Thank you for building this, you have made my life with pass so much easier!

### 5/5 — Wonderful yet to still prove

*2023-12-01, version 0.14.0*

This is iOS support is last piece I need for my pass store. Perfect! Import method is much easier just to use airdrop+import from file.

One important thing to improve is to support multi gpg id.

*2023-10-16, version 0.14.0*

gpg —output /tmp/pass.pub.pgp —armor —export key_name
gpg —output /tmp/pass.sec.pgp —armor —export-secret-key key_name

### 5/5 — Absolutely brilliant!

*2023-10-05, version 0.14.0*

One of the best apps on the App Store. Just remember to set this as the default in settings under “passwords -> password options” so you can autofill in apps and on websites

### 5/5 — Großartige App

*2023-09-04, version 0.14.0*
