The app needs wifi connection in the store or it can't match an items barcode to the item (i.e. drop wifi and it won't scan) 2. The wifi connection overrides your cellular connection and coop don't allow you internet access over their wifi (i.e. once in the store forget being able to check by iMessage something back home) 3. The barcode scanner is not very reliable (difficult to focus) 4. Everythig works there! But coop fails so hard with it’s apps and passabene system, it is frustrating. I stopped going to coop because of this. But coop fails so hard with it’s apps and passabene system, it is frustrating. I stopped going to coop because of this. ### 1/5 — POOR - no longer works *2023-02-27, version 4.28.32* No longer works (in Neubad store at least). “Passabene currently not usable” every time. Off to Migros. ### 1/5 — Wieso 3 Apps? *2022-11-18* Wieso braucht coop drei Apps (coop, Supercard, passabene) für etwas, das die Migros in einer schafft? Zudem ist die Zahlung in der App ein Witz. Was ist der Sinn und Zweck, wenn ich trotzdem zu einer Kasse gehen, den QR-scannen und dort warten muss. Da kann ich auch genauso gut am Zahlterminal der Kasse zahlen - macht nicht viel Unterschied. Auch hier ist die Migros meilenweit voraus. ### 1/5 — Still not able to identify the store *2020-07-14, version 2.6.8* v2.6.8, 1*, “Still not able to identify the store” The version history claims “Korrektur der Filialeerkennung”. No it doesn’t, so still only one star. And I did offer to be a beta-tester, but Coop only want internal testers. Well, then, maybe they could do their job a bit more thoroughly! —————— v2.6.5, 1*, “No longer even auto-recognises store: no longer usable at all” And without a doubt, all of the points that I made in my previous review still apply :-/ —————— v2.6.3, 2*, “Good when it actually works; needs shopping list” Since Coronavirus reared its head, I have gone back to using this app, in order to be more independent in the store. So far I have used it five times: the first two times it worked fine, but since then, each time, after having scanned in more than a dozen items, when I switched to another app and then came back to it, it had lost all of its data and started again from scratch, which completely defeats the purpose of using the app, and so I just went to a cashier instead. One of the reasons for me having to switch to another app was to check my shopping list in AnyList, which brings me to my second point, that if I had a shopping list directly in Passabene, I wouldn’t need to switch to another app. The Coop app has a shopping list, but does not allow data import from other apps, or seemingly integration with its own family of apps. The other reason for me switching to another app was to take a photo of an item as a memory-jogger, and again the app reset itself and lost all of its data So, in summary: 1) PLEASE fix the stability problem. It is INFURIATING and makes the app pretty much unusable 2) please update the Coop app to allow shopping lists to be imported from other apps, such as AnyList 3) please update the Coop and Passabene apps, such that Passabene is able to use shopping lists directly from the Coop app, without having to switch to another app ### 1/5 — Transmit Failed at Self Checkout *2018-10-05, version 2.2.12* The app scans well but it failed to transmit scanned items at checkout stage. Then had to unpack all items and get them scanned at a normal till. App needs more thorough testing. I've deleted app and have gone back to hand-held scanner. ### 1/5 — Funktioniert nicht *2014-03-08* Scanning barcodes of products worked except for few products. At the classier the qr-code could not be scanned! 5 minutes embarrassed trying, no support at all by the employees, than I had to unload the whole cart and pay without passabene - better save your time and don't use this app! ### 2/5 — Gute Idee, funktioniert aber immer seltener *2021-05-22* Eigentlich eine gute Sache, aber die Probleme nehmen zu. Aktuell ist es seit ein paar Wochen so, dass alle Artikel, die gewogen wurden, nicht funktionieren. Muss man an der Kasse raussuchen und noch mal scannen. Dann kann man es auch gleich sein lassen mit Passabene. ### 2/5 — Super wenn es funktioniert (leider zu selten) *2016-08-12* Die App ist grundsätzlich eine gute Idee. Leider ist es mir schon gefühlte 100x passiert, dass entweder keine Verbindung hergestellt werden kann, einzelne Artikel nicht im Warenkorb landen, oder (mein Favorit) der Einkauf an der Kasse nicht übermittelt werden kann. Leider scheint die App auch nicht wirklich gepflegt bzw. weiterentwickelt zu werden Updates sind selten und weitere Funktionalitäten gibt es keine. Das ist Beta Stadium. In der Vorversion hat die App die richtige Filiale automatisch erkannt und eingestellt. Das muss jetzt manuell bestätigt werden. Seit dem Update funktioniert das Übertragen der Daten auf die Kasse nicht mehr. **Developer response:** Guten Tag, bitte entschuldigen Sie die Unannehmlichkeiten. Ihr passabene Team ### 3/5 — Great idea that need to be improved *2013-06-03* I truly love the idea of using my phone when I shop but there are still some issues. After using the app 3 times I have had two incidents when it froze and I had to restart and rescan all the items in my cart. Then I have not been able to use the shopping list as you have to be connected to the server to use the app which makes it useless at home where you wish to be when you write down your shopping list.
