## What is Passe Covid?

Passe Covid can be used by everyone, including air companies, organizers of cultural, corporate, sporting and family events (such as weddings and baptisms), so that we can get back to normal days and our freedom, in safety.

The application may be used by entities to validate certificates issued by all Member States of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. The application validates the authenticity of the EU Digital Covid Certificate and the compliance with the Portuguese validation criteria defined by health authorities (Decree-Law No. 54-A/2021).

How to use it? 
Point the camera of your phone to read the QR code of the presented Digital Certificate COVID.The certificate may be presented on paper or in digital format. 
The app will automatically check the certificate. 
A green light result means that the certificate has been successfully validated. 
A result with red sign means that the certificate is not valid (the validation includes verification of the authenticity of the certificate and compliance with the health rules defined by the DGS). 

This application does not guarantee the security of the holder of the COVID Digital Certificate in relation to COVID-19, nor their identity, serving only to validate the authenticity of the certificate. 

The presentation of the COVID Digital Certificate does not serve as a form of identification of the bearer, always lacking the presentation of a valid and legitimate official identification document 

Protection of Personal Data 
The application does not store any kind of personal data.

The app doesn’t validate a valid Estonian COVID certificate and says “unknown sender” my assumption is that the database of certificates doesn’t have all valid CAs

**Developer response:** To update the dictionary, click on the icon in the upper right corner, on the camera screen, and then on update. After installation an application needs to be updated as settings, which is done automatically but may take a few minutes. 24-hour internet access is recommended to ensure validation of all EU certificates.

The app shows my QR code for the UK vaccination record as invalid. Both EU and Portuguese government recognise UK vaccination, but the app only recognised Portuguese qr codes.. that’s totally silly and discriminatory- as an official app it should follow the rules of the government not just own ideas..

Tendo em conta o turismo em Portugal e o regresso de emigrantes agora que visitar a família volta a ser possível, seria útil a validação de QR emitidos pelos vários “países” do Reino Unido. Os leitores da República da Irlanda e também da França leem sem problema os códigos QR do Reino Unido. Fica a sugestão.
