## What is Passlock?

Passlock is a local-first password manager for people who don't want their passwords held hostage by a subscription giant.

Everything stays encrypted on your device. AutoFill works across Safari and apps. Built-in two-factor codes mean you don't need a second app. Import from 1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass, Chrome, or Apple Passwords — read everything you brought in, on your terms.

— Local-first by design —
Your vault is encrypted with on-device ChaCha20-Poly1305 keys derived from your master password (PBKDF2-SHA256, 600,000 iterations). The master password is never stored, never uploaded, never sent anywhere. Forget it and your data is gone — that's the point.

— AutoFill that just works —
Turn Passlock on in Settings → AutoFill, and your logins appear above the keyboard in Safari and most apps. Domain-aware matching protects you from look-alike phishing sites. Tap, Face ID, done.

— Two-factor codes, included —
Add TOTP secrets by scanning a QR code or pasting them in. A 30-second countdown lives next to your login. Tap to copy — the clipboard auto-clears after 30 seconds.

— Import without strings —
1Password (.1pux), Bitwarden (.json), LastPass / Chrome / Edge / Apple Passwords (.csv). Preview before importing. We map fields conservatively; you can fix anything wrong.

— A subscription you can actually leave —
Free up to 5 logins so you can try Passlock with real personal data. Pro unlocks the rest with a 7-day free trial; Pro+ adds file vault and secure sharing with a 14-day trial. Cancel anytime in Apple's settings — your data stays exportable.
