Yes I went through the same nightmare when it suddenly wouldn’t load, something to do with the iOS version, but I had back-ups. My main annoyance is that ever since I have used this app, well over 10years, the search function has crashed the app…..various iPads over the years and it still does the same thing. It’s not taking any of my passwords, and it’s also not recognizing my Face ID. Then a box shows up and tells me to put in my code, which I’ve never done before, all of a sudden, I can’t use this. did something recently changed? I wish I can contact somebody. I know it’s a free app so that’s nice but it’s unfortunate. Have just tried to send an email to the developer with several questions using the contact email address in the app and the app store listing but the email bounced with the message that the email address was now disabled. ### 1/5 — Neglected, no more update. App always crashes. *2023-12-02, version 7.4.2* This app has been neglected or maybe abandoned, no update for over 4 months. Currently, I’m using iOS 17.1.1, this app crashes a lot when editing or trying to add new entry. It’s a matter of time when it becomes unusable with iOS updating constantly. Take your password elsewhere. ### 3/5 — Synchronisation *2023-07-21, version 7.4.2* Does it has sync option across iPad and iPhone?? ### 1/5 — Chinese Developers REFUSE to give Access to PASSWORDS *2023-06-09, version 7.4* You have to ask yourself why would the developer of this app and its now defunct predecessor REFUSE to update the predecessor app so thousands (at minimum) of people can access years worth of passwords again?! It seems easy enough to either update this new version to enable it to restore from the previous version into this new version or simply update the previous version to be compatible with ios 14.5 and above! Developer is CHINESE and likely loves the control over Westerners. And don’t be fooled by the email address listed. It bounces. I and countless others used the original version only to be shut out without warning and have lost years worth of not just passwords but account information, personal information, medical history information and more. Because the developer could care less and refuses to update their old application. The control over people is what this CHINESE developer wants and got with the prior app (which is essentially identical to this one). UPDATE THE PREVIOUS VERSION SO WE CAN HAVE OUR PASSWORDS/INFORMATION BACK!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS DEVELOPER (and shame on apple for taking ZERO RESPONSIBILITY AND DOING NOTHING TO HELP DUPED USERS)!!! Use ANYTHING bur this app!!! ### 1/5 — Do Not Use, Do Not Buy *2022-10-11, version 7.3.6* I’ve used iPassword for over 6 years. It had all of my passwords in it. When apple update 14.6 came I updated my phone as usual. I tried to get in to iPassword and could not get in. I tried to update my app and it says the developer needs to update it. I thought it was a glitch but it wasn’t. I took to social media fb and Twitter. Only to find that at least 2 months prior this developer had stopped updating that version. It was apparently because he was making this version. Many of us have pleaded with him through fb messenger and Twitter to update so that we could get our passwords. He has not responded and has not updated. Here we are years later and still nothing. This app is by the same developer. I would not trust or purchase from him. Apple can not or will not help. I was told that we had to contact the developer. I thought that all apps on apple platform had to answer to apple’s rules but apparently not. I had the paid version of iPassword it worked fine just like this one. He should not have been able to have any apps on their platform after what he has done to so many. What a joke!!!! Don’t get it. It’s rubbish can’t even contact anyone regarding the issues. It had all my passwords in. One day it simply disappeared for no apparent reason. I tried to re-install it but it had lost all the data. The contact email address is @yahoo. So that says it all really. A friend experienced the same thing a couple of years ago and I thought it was user error. This app recently changed its icon, so when I was cleaning out old apps from my phone, I deleted it. When I finally realized what happened, I found it on the App Store and downloaded it again. I “restored” my info and passwords but the data that was “restored” is very old data. He gave us NO WARNING to retrieve and backup our info!! I would never trust this developer in any app! Been too preoccupied to write a review. This app is great. Never had any issues with tampering. Love the option to make folders, cut, copy, and paste. So easy to customize and organize!!! Recently backed up info through Dropbox and transferred to new phone. SEAMLESS!! Don’t change ANYTHING except maybe a bigger icon selection to include iPhone emoji keypad or something similar. Thank you for keeping things simple and functional. So many app developers have updates after update that make you wonder what’s changing. Not an issue with this app! Now I am using this which is exact same app and I had to pay for this one also. I won’t pay again. As a password manager I found it quite useful. My new phone does face recognition and this app supports it now. Guess I have to give it 5 stars now. This app does the trick and I never forget my passwords cause I have them right with me.
