## What is Passwort?

The ”Passwort“ app is your password assistant. Its two main functions are:
- store credit card numbers, passwords and other secrets
- generate strong, deterministic passwords, based on a generation profile

What are deterministic passwords?
The ”Passwort“ app takes a hint (e.g. web site address), the username and a master password to calculate a password, formatted according your generation profile. 
With the same set of input values (web site address, username, master password and generation profile options), the app will always regenerate same passwords, even on different iOS devices. Since the master password is your secret, no one else can reproduce your passwords.
