The writing leaves a lot to be desired, the stories often lack the proper detail or they include details that really have nothing to do with the main story. This App could be really useful if it was organized and held pertinent information. ### 2/5 — Neighborhood Connection *2026-01-30, version 9.0.50* I have had Patch News for years and I liked when I could connect with neighbors until they changed it so you can only connect with people through Facebook. I don’t have Facebook and not everyone one does. Why couldn’t Patch leave it as is for those of us who do not want to go through Facebook. I used to like connecting with neighbors through the Patch app. Stinks. They cover things that I cannot find in my local news paper or cable news network. At one time there was the option to comment on articles. Unfortunately it became depressingly negative. So much so that it became a huge turn off. Unlike some others here, I am thrilled that feature has been removed. For those of you that are bothered by this then maybe Patch isn’t for you. They’re vague, if at all with following up on some stories, such as the stabbing in Collingswood, the people in this town we’re only being told that the police were investigating knowingly that this person that stabbed the young man was still roaming the streets.
