### 4/5 — Notifications stop showing

*2025-10-19, version 3.8.2*

After a while the notifications stop showing on my mobile and I end up forgetting to change my patch until well after the time it needs changing.

Could do with being updated as well as it’s not been done in around 6 months

### 3/5 — Helpful

*2025-06-08, version 3.8.2*

This is a helpful start for managing HRT. I used it before and couldn’t get y the x days on and y days off to work, and it does now, which is great. The app allows users to choose patch or gel though, and I use both (patch for oestrogen and gel for testosterone) and it doesn’t allow me to choose both.

### 4/5 — Pretty good and convenient

*2024-05-12*

But the twice a week a bit confusing should be, example, Monday then Thursday but on the app it says Monday then Friday

### 4/5 — No Quantity/Mode for FtM?

*2024-04-19*

I really like this app but I have 2 requests. First would be to be able to set the “Quantity” for injections to the actual mL instead of it being stuck on “1” which is kind of weird to me, (unless people are using more than one patch?) Also I would love if it could be switched to a FtM mode with corresponding illustrations, especially since the app doesn’t seem to remember that I’ve chosen the “blank” image for all injections to try avoiding the MtF illustrations, and auto-reverts to showing me an image and it isn’t even the right injection site anyway since I do subq abdomen shots. Thank you so much for reading and I hope these can be taken into consideration for the next update!!

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2023-09-08, version 3.8.0*

Get idea for an app but the patches come in two variations so it would be useful to be able to add the type of patch to keep track of them in addition to the date to change them.

### 3/5 — Custom time

*2023-03-04*

I wish I could select a custom time to change the patch. For ex, if I take it at 8am it defaults to 8pm two days later. Well, I don’t want to change it at night. It gives me a headache. I would like to be able to put my own time in to change the patch. I’m gonna give it a try bc I keep missing my cut off day but this feature may make it unusable for me.

### 4/5 — Good app.. but

*2023-02-13, version 3.8.0*

I like this app it is simple and easy to use.

One thing that would make it better is if I could see what x day of x days I am on for the progesterone pill on the front page.
The only way to see this at the moment is to click edit to view.

### 3/5 — Help

*2023-01-26, version 3.8.0*

Is it possible to change the day?
As day 1 is Thursday and need to change on a sunday and not Monday as comes up.
Also is it possible to put detail about which patch as on combined and need reminder when need to change to combined on day 14 .

### 4/5 — HRT reminder

*2021-10-27, version 3.7.0*

I’ve been using it for a week and it’s helpful to keep track of what I need to take when. How do I delete a ‘pill profile’ I added incorrectly?

### 3/5 — Pill settings

*2021-05-24*

Inormally 5 stars but 3 after the change! have enjoyed this app for a year now but for some reason or another the pill section has started resetting each day. Every morning when my alarm goes off and I go to select "take" on my pills, it says "tap to start". Why? I can't view my last taken anymore because of this. Please return it to the way it was.

**Developer response:** Hello again!

So sorry about this, I will make sure the last taken date shows up when the pill is not taken the day, like it did before. Expect an update soon, it will be version 3.6.1.

Thanks

Edit: The fix is out now and you should be seeing your last taken date on the next day. Let me know if you have any more problems! support@patchdayhrt.com

### 3/5 — One thing that I’d like to see updated

*2021-04-18*

I’m trans and I do IM shots in each thigh every 10 days. Sadly, there’s no thigh site option and there is also no number of day currency option. Only daily, weekly, every 2 weeks, etc. I would really like to see this have a more customizable option with the sites, and more accessible to those who have odd shot days that aren’t defined by a certain day a week, but one every x amount of days. Other than that, it looks very easy and efficient to use. Will be looking forward to using this app if these little points are updated if the developer is interested. Thank you for giving a good app to trans people!

**Developer response:** Hello!

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have just submitted an update (3.5.0) that includes more custom expiration intervals. The update is currently awaiting for review from Apple, but once it is live, you should be able to select a hormone expiration interval of "Every 10 Days". It allows for any custom "X" number of days.

I could definitely use more input regarding site-related updates. I have some ideas but would like to get more feedback there. If you are interested, please share with me at support@patchdayhrt.com, as well as any other concerns you have. I am already planning the update for 3.6.0.

Thank you for the review and for trying out the app!
-Jules

### 3/5 — Buggy

*2021-03-01, version 3.3.1*

Adding patch details or pill details doesn’t work. The options from the dialog button are blank. Please fix as a really good app. Also, please could the count be increased to 8 as that is how many you get in each box.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not easy to use!

*2025-12-29, version 3.8.2*

Couldn't work out how to use it at all!

### 1/5 — Not intuitive

*2025-06-21*

How in the world do you add the next patch once you hit 4 patches? I need some instructions please.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-01-23, version 3.8.0*

No matter how much I try to update my change time to 8.15am the app defaults to PM. Not user friendly and inflexible. Will stick with my phone alarm.

### 1/5 — It keeps getting the day wrong for patches

*2022-12-22*

Isn’t that like the only thing that this is for like just put a notification on your calendar for those two days and save yourself the confusion

**Developer response:** Hello!

Do you have "Constant expiration times" enabled or disabled in settings? Could that be the case?

Is the notification showing up at a different time than the "expiration" time? Or what exactly is going on?

Also feel free to email me at support@patchdayhrt.com

Thank you and sorry again.

### 1/5 — N.B.

*2020-07-08, version 3.0.3*

This App is not working

### 1/5 — Lot of HRT method missing

*2018-06-12, version 2.0*

Looks like a great apps but you need to add, medications, and other method (pills, gel etc).
1 star because useless for me
5 stars If complète because as a trans, it’s great to have an app and it’s the only one on the store
Go go go complete your app

### 2/5 — Expiration Date Issue

*2022-08-08*

I can’t adjust the expiration date for my patch. The one that I’m on lasts for seven days not five. Great concept but not able to adjust for different forms of medication.

**Developer response:** The expiration is based on schedule settings defined in the top gear on the right in the main view of the app.
You go to the settings and you change the expiration interval and then the patches / injections / gel (whichever you use) will use that interval.

Then, you can also choose to enable staggering or not. If you want consistent intervals, enable it. Else by default the expiration interval is based on a given interval of time after the patch was place (or injection injected etc).

I hope this helps!

### 2/5 — Why are the progesterone Schedules Fixed?

*2021-01-06*

I need a 12 days on 12 days off yet the only options I see are 10 or 20 days. Not helpful, please adjust for custom schedules.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I don't always think of the all use-cases and I know I could use the help.

I just released an update (3.3.0) that I think should take care of this, if you are still looking for an app.

So, the way to do what you want now would be to go the Pill Details View -> Change the "Schedule" property to the new schedule option named "X Days On, X Days Off". I made it default to 12, in sponsor of your feedback. If you are currently in the middle of a cycle, I put a way underneath the days-selectors labeled "Current position" that allows you to set the current position in the schedule.

The new update addresses some other bugginess with Pills (and some other areas of the app).

If you have any more feedback or need any help or further updates, you can email me at support@patchdayhrt.com.

Thanks again and best of luck.

### 3/5 — Update issue

*2026-06-12, version 4.1.0*

In the new update I can no longer see what day I am on with the pills. So I have no idea where I am in the cycle or when the days off are coming. Can you please resume this feature?

### 3/5 — Please add features?

*2025-10-23*

If these features exist, I can’t find them … I would appreciate the ability to:

1. Add medication names
2. See history
3. Add dosages
4. Have multiple methods of delivery (patches & gels, etc) at the same time

Thanks!

### 5/5 — Essential App

*2025-01-02*

This is the only app that tracks my patches the way they need to be. I was without the app for a couple of months and could not find a suitable replacement. I’m so glad it’s back in the App Store!

### 5/5 — almost perfect

*2021-03-11*

a lot of consideration went into this app and it improves my everyday. love and appreciation to the developer - thank you Jules. i love that it is so simple and functional and I also have a few suggestions:

1. i would love the option to “untake” a pill in case i accidentally hit take instead of cancel. this has happened to me a few times and it’s not a big deal but i’d like to go into edit and delete a taking instance.

2. without a scheduled time for my patches i can’t rely on the app to tell me when to change them otherwise i will end up with gradual creep in the time. I would love for there to be an option to schedule patches for certain times rather than just intervals. (right now if I change my patch an hour late, the next patch will be scheduled an hour late, and that will compound if i’m have a really inconsistent week 🙃)

💖thank you again :)

**Developer response:** Edit: (Putting at top of response so you see): To use the new feature for not having the runaway times in expiration interval, tap the settings icon in the top right from the Hormones list view and turn on "Constant Expiration Times". To change the time value that is used, adjust the date in the date picker for the hormone - it uses individual hormones times.

Hello there!

Thank you so much for the kind review and the feedback. Good news! I have implemented your first suggestion regarding un-taking pills. This feature will be out in version 3.5.0 after it finishes review from Apple.

Regarding the second feature you mentioned: Let me start by saying that I am planning on developing this feature in the next version, 3.6.0, and the only reason I didn’t include it in 3.5.0 is because I needed to get that release out.
In hindsight, I should have made your suggestion the default behavior of the app, as this is what many users probably want. The reason I didn’t is because some users, myself included, want to “get all the juice” out of patches. I realize that desire does not necessarily translate into Gel or Injections succinctly, and I also realize how it is inconvenient for messing up a consistent schedule. So, I will make the static dates a feature in version 3.6.0 and probably make a note about making it the default in version 4.0.0. In the meantime, as a short-term solution, if you are late at changing a patch, you can edit its date manually by viewing its details and using the Date Picker.

If you have any more suggestions / feedback, feel free to email them to me at support@patchdayhrt.com.

Again, thanks for the nice review! I am glad to help.
-Jules

### 5/5 — Great Idea

*2021-03-06*

I absolutely love the idea behind the app but unfortunately I’m having an issue where whenever I tap on one of the circles to add an injection the three little rectangles that pop up are all black/grey with no next so I don’t know what they say and I have to guess to click on. If this bug was fixed I’d definitely give 5 stars!!

Edit: the developer got in contact with me and was super kind and helpful and helped troubleshoot what the issue was and got it fixed for me. Highly highly recommend!!

**Developer response:** Hello Allie! Are you still experiencing this? I apologize for my delayed response; I somehow missed your review. If you are still having this issue, could you email me some more information at support@patchdayhrt.com?

I fixed a possibly-related bug in version 3.3.2 regarding the quantity of injection buttons. The way it should work is that after you tap Settings gear in the top right and select the Delivery Method option "Injections", there should only be a single circle on the main screen. The bug I just fixed had caused lingering circles because it did not correctly adjust the Quantity setting. Patches are the only Delivery Method that should have multiple buttons. I am afraid that would not explain the missing text however.

I'd like to help here and will continue investigating!

Thank you so much for kind review as well, :)

### 5/5 — N.B
