The support team also told me my $100 bonus was in my self directed portfolio but I can’t see it. I’ve been trying to get my money out of them for over a month. All I get is outrageous excuses. Don’t trust these criminals with your money!!! ### 1/5 — Your money is not exactly accessible *2024-10-02* About a month ago I tried to initiate a withdrawal from my self-directed account. I’m a veteran user of financial institution apps and am aware of what is standard in regards to availability of funds, withdrawal times, etc. There’s no actual straightforward process for you to withdraw your money. You have to email some customer service agent with what you want, and they first reply back with a huge email full of sloppily written policy information full of weird inconsistent capitalization errors. I asked for this money again, and the agent “Craig” says he’s initiated the withdrawal, and says it’ll take 5 business days. I ask for confirmation, and he’s like uh sorry we “don’t have an automated confirmation process” built in…then he’s like “if you don’t see it by end of day next Wednesday please reach back out”. Um why in god’s name would I not be seeing it? Well twelve days pass and I hear nothing, and then he says he’s “checked in” on my account and it “looks like withdraws are now being processed this afternoon”. ???? The next day I get a text email message saying my withdrawal has been processed and I should see it within 48 hours. Two entire weeks after that message, I still haven’t seen my money, and I’m filing a CFPB complaint. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. Path is worth the time of anyone interested in crypto ### 2/5 — Review update *2024-09-18* Second time I’m rating this app. The first I couldn’t sign up, but now they fixed that, however, I went on and follow up on their marketing about depositing $100 and holding for a bonus and checking out how they work out their "AI-managed portfolio”. So a little more than a month in, my portfolio is still sitting around at $85 sometimes going down to 82. Their custody is with Gemini, the exchange with the highest spread, so the likelihood of making any profit is not looking good, but after receiving an email showing the transactions made: none. So their strategy is buy and hold, but somehow even though coins are back on a record now with bitcoin on 63K, my portfolio is not back on $100. Bitcoin was lower than that when I started, so, it looks like to me then or Gemini charged me fees which are not transparent on the app. Nowhere in the app says whether I’m in for the bonus or not, and I can’t withdraw instead I have at least $100. To top it off, you cannot deposit less than $100. All in all, this app is aiming for AI managed portfolio by just buying and holding and complicating deposits and withdraws, charging a lot of fees without any transparency and partnered with the biggest spread ever exchange, so it is not looking like a good options for users at all. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. When you sign up, you’ll own 7-9 cryptocurrencies, and any changes in your portfolio’s value are primarily due to market fluctuations, not custodian fees. We've worked hard to negotiate some of the lowest fees in the industry with our custodian, Gemini. Also, Path's Managed Portfolio is overseen by our dedicated Investment team, made up of experienced professionals, not AI. We take risk management very seriously to help safeguard your investments. So now I am in the process of withdrawing all of my funds and going back to Coinbase. The app is very buggy and support seems to be non-existent. And now I am keep getting an app error when trying to re-contact support and when I try to close my “managed portfolio”. Confusing, buggy, and convoluted experience. Don’t trust your money with these guys. It is impossible to withdraw money. I’ve been in contact with customer support for over 2 months now trying to withdraw my money but they have lost it. Week after week they make a new promise about my withdrawal should be in my bank account in a few days and it never comes. Downright fraud. Path's Customer Support team. ### 1/5 — Worst crypto app ever *2024-12-10* I had a terrible experience with this app. First, the min deposit is $100, as well as the min withdrawal. Second, it is impossible to withdraw the money. It is ridiculously difficult, I have been trying for 2 weeks already and as for now my funds completely disappeared from my account and I have no idea where they have gone. Support team is VERY slow in responding and I begin to have a feeling that this is SCAM. ### 1/5 — Locked me out after depositing money *2024-12-03* I created an account, and then COMPLETED the identity verification with personal information (drivers license, SSN, face scan). It difficult to deposit money into your own portfolio rather than the “actively managed” portfolio of whatever crypto is chosen for you. I ended up DEPOSITING $100… next day I’m LOCKED OUT for “identity verification”?? How can you fail an identity verification AFTER being allowed to link a bank account and deposit? Support is slow and I’m not even sure if/when I’ll get that money back with their responses (or lack thereof). ### 1/5 — I am locked out of my account *2024-11-25* 4 days in a row I am trying to access my account through my cell phone app. The application freezes every time I try to login in. I am not able to reset it or do anything. I have tried to communicate the issue with the developers through the chat link, so far to no avail. No option to access my account online, which is scary. Keeps telling me to hang tight and Nitrogen is taking longer than normal to load. I’ve been in contact with support numerous times with no solution. Last time I was told that support would have the developers look into. I guess they have better things to do. BEWARE *2024-11-22* I deposited money into my account August 8. On November 8, I contacted Path regarding my bonus as the 90 day timeframe had passed. As of today, November 21 I have neither received my $100 bonus nor have been able to withdraw my original funds. Withdrawals are supposedly handled manually, but I have made repeated requests and the support team misses their own timelines in responding. The chat bot will also conveniently stop responding when you initiate a withdrawal request. I opened my account, linked my bank account, completed the “verification” (which is only my name & selfie???) anyways then it had me connect to Gemini which I agreed but there were no further steps to actually connect my Gemini account. I selected continue when prompted and suddenly my account was good to go?? Should have known better but I stupidly decided to make the minimum $100… YES, ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS… deposit to the managed portfolio as there is no way to deposit to the self directed portfolio except via BTC which should have been a red flag. So after I made the deposit of $100 I wanted to move my funds to my self directed portfolio but bc of the fees my balance was below the required $100 to do so. So I had to made ANOTHER $100 deposit to be able to “close my portfolio” to proceed with the withdrawal except then I got a bunch of “internal error” codes preventing me from being able to withdraw my money. Customer support hasn’t responded. There is no FAQ to reference and even Google doesn’t know. So yeah I now have $200 sitting in an investment portfolio managed by god knows who with no way to get my money back and no access to support for help.
