### 4/5 — Mix-n-match Adventure

*2026-07-13, version 4.5.5*

Fun but gets repetitive after a while (8 hours)

### 4/5 — Pretty fun

*2026-07-11, version 4.5.5*

Path of Adventure is a great game, difficult, but very rewarding for those who put in the time to beat it.

### 4/5 — Pretty surprising

*2026-07-09, version 4.5.5*

The game is actually a lot of fun. I was expecting rigged RNG to encourage players to shell out cash for progress. I thought the other reviews were paid/bots. But this is a very good game made by someone who seemed to actually be interested in making something with replayability, and not a cash grab. Obviously, the nature of text-based RPGs causes them to be a bit repetitive. It's the RNG that creates a new story. Sometimes you get really spooned, sometimes you die to a willow branch on day 3 in a ruin with only a rusty dagger and straw shield to your name because the river ate your ring. So far, 10/10. It's only getting a 4/5 because i refuse to take accountability for my skill issue

### 4/5 — Its a good game

*2026-06-25, version 4.5.5*

Its good at when it means to be, additionally it hardly uses any battery charge.

### 4/5 — Great game!

*2026-06-17, version 4.5.5*

I love this game sooooo much! It’s just hard not to die!

### 4/5 — Occasionally too hard

*2026-06-12, version 4.5.5*

I like the text-based dilemma mechanic and how it keeps things just complicated enough while still being accessible and nice and easy to understand after awhile. First level took me forever to beat and the hydra is easier than the other final bosses by a lot imo

### 5/5 — amazing game

*2026-05-27, version 4.5.5*

the game is amazing.
My only problem is I only wish that voice over would be audomadicly brought to the top of the text after making a decision

### 4/5 — I don’t review but this is fun!

*2026-05-25, version 4.5.5*

Can get repetitive over time but what can you expect for free. Good old school type game, good fun. Well done, lads!

### 5/5 — Very fun

*2026-05-22, version 4.5.5*

The mechanics were quite fun, the difficulty can be quite..impassible.. but if you do encounter an impossible run just delete it and make a new one, (I admit the hard mode and beyond are damn near impossible)

### 4/5 — Fun Adventure…not easy

*2026-05-09, version 4.5.5*

This is a really fun adventure and it takes me back to old DND choose your own adventure books from when I was a kid. My only issue is that it’s too difficult. I still have not got past the “easy” level. I can’t even imagine how hard the next levels will be.

### 4/5 — Solid

*2026-04-30, version 4.5.5*

Solid game, good time filler. Pretty challenging if I’m honest. But maybe I’m just bad at games.

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2026-04-28, version 4.5.5*

Tedious and frustrating at times but up there with the best in regards to "free to play" titles.

### 4/5 — Fun but gets repetitive and a little boring after first few levels

*2026-04-21, version 4.5.5*

Other than that great game

### 3/5 — Not Free

*2026-04-20, version 4.5.5*

It’s okay. Haven’t made it past a normal level yet. You can resurrect if you pay which I haven’t yet.

### 5/5 — Kinda fun

*2026-04-16, version 4.5.5*

Challenges and repetition

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-04-06, version 4.5.5*

Definitely a challenge

### 5/5 — Fun observe and optimize game where you die all the time

*2026-04-05, version 4.5.5*

Great text based rpg. I wish I could just pay ten dollars to make it more doable, as an option.

### 4/5 — Fun could use more reward options

*2026-04-02, version 4.5.5*

Fun game so far just wish there were more options in gameplay

### 4/5 — Interesting

*2026-04-02, version 4.5.5*

Pretty good

### 5/5 — Love this game

*2026-04-01, version 4.5.5*

I just finally completed ring bearer after TWO YEARS! Simple but strategic love it so much!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2026-02-06, version 4.5.5*

First mission on rogue is either impossible, extreme luck, extreme perseverance or money. They basically put an enemy that hits you for 5-10 hp (my hp was 15) I put all my points into defense, had defense boosting items, did every side path leading up to the troll and still got killed in two hits. I also tried putting my stats elsewhere and failed worse. Defense seems to be the way to go if you do wanna keep trying until you pass it.
But that’s not all. I had three full hp potions (elixirs) on me and used every single one AND a smoke bomb and by the time he got done 2-3shotting my hp he had like 3 hp left and I was completely out of elixirs. Now clearly it CAN be done. Had I been lucky enough to have one less miss in the fight or one more elixir I would have made it.. but how much rng does that require and how many times will I have to restart to line it up perfectly?
By the way to make it worse you can only attack the troll with weapons (can’t use bare hands if your weapons break) so if you only have one weapon (rng) it will break before you defeat him.
The items you get every run are all rng so you have to adapt to whatever you get but the likelyhood that you make it to the troll and clear every side path and still have 3 elixirs when you get there is.. well it only happened for me one time.
But don’t worry you can resurrect for .99$

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2026-01-16, version 4.5.5*

I’ve played the first adventure after the tutorial about 15 times and haven’t gotten more than 1/2 way through it without getting killed. It’s supposed to be “easy” so even if I’m being a dumb noob you’d think I’d be able to finish it at least once. Don’t get me wrong, I’m perfectly willing to pay for a game if it’s good but this introductory adventure doesn’t inspire that kind of confidence the rest of the game will be any better.

### 1/5 — POA

*2026-01-12, version 4.5.5*

Impossible

### 1/5 — feels misleading

*2024-11-04, version 4.5.5*

the concept and gameplay are sound and it is fun. your choices are impactful and they seem to matter…. however… the game seems to actively try and sabatoge you.

it seems the enemies in the game actively try to counter your build. if you build attack the enemies stack hp. if you build defense the enemies start to flee. if you build attack the enemies 1-2 shot u. if you balance your build you feel like you reap no benifits.

i actually really enjoy the game but tbh i really couldnt beat “easy” without 1 ressurect and/or undo after 100+ tries. i keep going back to easy difficulty to see if i can clear it without undos/ressurect and it seems impossible without winning the lottery on dodges or weapon drops. there should be a skill element that balances out with the randomness but its severly misbalanced

### 1/5 — Too unpredictable

*2024-09-18, version 4.5.5*

The dungeons automatically generate and some of them are impossibly configured so you loose and are forced to buy their resurrections for $1 USD

### 1/5 — Perfect example of why you need beta testers

*2024-07-22*

This game was clearly not tested in any real capacity. This review probably falls on deaf ears anyway but holy sweet mother of god. If the dev actually had any real care for this game the “easy” mode wouldn’t take over 200 tries to beat. You literally can not beat the game without paying the revival fee. Also. The RNG is absolutely broken. Swear to god it prioritizes getting rid of your artifact items. Good luck being a magic build cause there is zero way that your magic is going to hurt the final boss unless you have all of these items. Magicians Hat, Magicians staff, and magicians (honestly forgot). Anyway, these items double your attack making a lightning spell do 12 damage and cost next to nothing. I had a few runs (out of 187) in which I did get all of these items and in every one of them, something happened in which I lost them. All of them being RNG based. This is absolutely not the way to make a text based adventure game unless you want to squeeze money out of people. Very clearly a soulless cash grab that had very little effort put into it. Don’t waste your time. Just play actual D&D.

### 1/5 — Weird game to be pay to win

*2024-04-09, version 4.5.5*

Hard without spending money the routes don’t make you strong enough for bosses, was fun but can’t even get past easy adventure without paying and all the subtle payment options for cheap make it seem like a attempt at a lowkey scam

### 1/5 — Pay to undo?

*2023-12-29, version 4.5.5*

I'm sorry, but this is just a step too far. You make us pay to undo a choice!!! No way. I might have considered it if this story was slightly better but unfortunately, it's not. First of all it's not consistant. It's like it was written by several different people who didn't look at the previous person's work. +, the discription is minimal and very simple. "You strike and hit the big rat." What on earth. Not at all discriptive. Atleast not real discription. This is for 9 +? Jell you wouldn't know it from the story. Also it's patranising. "Treasure means treasure." Well duh. I'd like to think a 9-year-old would know that. If not then we really are in trouble. + x''s not realistic. The woman finding a magisian glove under her bed? Where did that come from. As far as I know, you never find out. And also why would someone leave a magisians glove under some random woman's bed? They wouldn't unless they were nuts. Alright it could've have ended up there by other means but I wouldn't know because you never find out. See what I mean. unrealistic. + it's pretty clear it's just a blaton cash grab. No way. You've lost a customer and I have already deleted and removed this app from my phone. I get it if there are other people who like this game but it's not for me and I would seriously question your sanity if you want to install a game which only gives you 5 free undos before asking you to pay for the rest. I saw another revewer who lost £20 to this con. Do yourself and your wallet a favour and do not fall into this blaton cash grabbing trap.

### 1/5 — Playing with my bellend is more fun

*2023-06-01, version 4.5.5*

Dog poo

### 1/5 — Underwhelming.

*2023-03-15, version 4.5.5*

It advertises itself like it’s D&D. It’s not. The game wasn’t shockingly bad or anything, there just wasn’t anything good about it. I believe it’s meant to be a game that revolves almost entirely around the story instead of lots of graphics and action; that would be what it does if it wasn’t for one key detail: there isn’t a story. You just go through areas where you either find something, fight something or there is a shop.

Almost none of the events have any relation to each other or last more than a couple of sentences. It’s just:
You enter a cave full of mushrooms, you take some.
Mushrooms + 4
Then you encounter someone who mentions something that a room in 8 rooms time will be slightly harder. Next room: there is treasure. Next room: fight something by selecting a weapon then use a system that is so effortlessly predictable and repetitive that you could just write another line of code to determine the outcome without ever tapping. Then you find another copy and pasted mushroom cave.

There doesn’t seem to be a point to anything and nothing happens. Text based games are decent, but I have made better stuff than this with python. It could be good, if something were to happen.

It manages not to be pay to win or full of adverts, but only because there’s nothing to buy and you would start reading the adverts. Next thing you know, “ooh… it’s an advert I haven’t seen! I’ll stare at it until the next one comes.”

By now, I think I’ve made my point. Don’t get your hopes up any higher than the carpet (well, maybe the footstool).

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great Game

*2026-08-14, version 4.5.5*

This game gives something that most games miss, even when it’s simply executed

### 5/5 — Best rpg tbh

*2026-08-11, version 4.5.5*

Good stuff very good story’s

### 5/5 — I love this game and I can’t put it down

*2026-07-09, version 4.5.5*

This is such an awesome game and I can’t stop playing it! I usually play this game every night before I go to bed and even during the day if I have time. This game is so cool and I love the characters and I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who was looking for an adventure game that was accessible with voiceover. The only thing I would say about this game is I think it would make it more fun if there were sound effects for different interactions in the game but either way, it’s so stupidly simple and so much fun

### 5/5 — Stupid merchant

*2026-07-09, version 4.5.5*

Amazing game. Greatest mobile game ever

### 5/5 — Hello

*2026-07-04, version 4.5.5*

Fun

### 5/5 — Completed game

*2026-07-04, version 4.5.5*

Playing this game some years ago and then replaying now bring a fine feeling that this game is seemly complete! A text based puzzle tactical game that encourages curiosity over customization and extensive add-ons, the base of the game allows you move forward in the same story but with the basic but not easy gameplay to route through! I would want to add a donation to see this game maybe comeback again besides the rewind option. Satisfaction

### 5/5 — My favorite game
