### 2/5 — Hmmn...

*2020-05-12*

I love the atmosphere, the art style and controls. However, I’ve come across a puzzle I simply can’t do, and since there’s no skip button or even a help button, I’ve had to abandon the game. It’s not the kind of puzzle a walkthrough can help you with anyway. So the experience has just left me feeling that I’ve thrown my money away.

**Developer response:** Hello, sorry about that. Can you let me know which puzzle it was so we could help?

### 1/5 — DONT BUY GAME DOES NOT WORK

*2020-08-26*

It’s sad really because it looked like a good game and I was very interested but none of the controls work. I have no idea what to do and it is really frustrating.

### 1/5 — Bloqué

*2020-07-11*

Arrivé devant la première porte le jeu ne répond plus à la commande.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-06-13*

Don’t buy it, the controls don’t work. The game doesn’t work

I tried the update, still doesn’t work. I cannot believe this was picked as ‘App of the Day’. Doesn’t speak well of the iTunes / Apple quality controls. And the silence of the developper is astounding.

### 1/5 — Want my money back.

*2020-06-09*

Does not work on iPhone or iPad pro.

### 1/5 — Cant move

*2020-06-08*

At the beginning of the game you get prompts on how to move the character but nothing the prompts tell you to do actually work. It feels like the developer offered this game before it was ready. These things cant be rushed. I love the artistic feel but lots of work needed. (And I paid $5 for a game that doesn't work.😠)

### 1/5 — Terrible controls

*2020-06-07*

Can’t get her to do anything. Too frustrating to be even remotely enjoyable.

### 1/5 — Bad controls

*2020-06-06*

And probably bad game design too, didn't get far enough to really judge that. Was initially attracted to the artistic style but imo it's just not implemented well enough:(

### 1/5 — Lame

*2020-04-21*

I want my money back. This was a waste if money! Why are there not more levels for the cost??? Great idea but this should be a free app.

**Developer response:** Sorry you feel that way! Please contact us at info@crescentmoongames.com

### 1/5 — Poor

*2020-04-15*

Game is poorly designed and annoying. Games need to be fun rather than frustrating or at times boring.

**Developer response:** Sorry you feel that way - the game is meant to feel surreal and strange.

### 1/5 — Bad.

*2020-04-02*

Not fun. Waste of money. Wonky controls. Not challenging at all. Since you deleted my initial review.

**Developer response:** Sorry that you didn't like it. I can take care of your issues at info@crescentmoongames.com
Thanks very much!

### 5/5 — Surreal dream

*2026-03-10*

I am really enjoying this game. It’s so different and bizarrely enchanting and calming. It makes me laugh every time the narrator tells me to calm down I keep thinking he’ll say “ it’s only a commercial” he has a very soothing voice, the puzzles are great although I did come across my nemesis the lights out puzzle but google saw me through 😂 other than that I’ve completed the others myself and enjoyed every minute. I especially like the graphics and the strange girl in a strange place gave me a real otherworldly feeling. Thank you for a good game.

### 5/5 — Excellence

*2026-02-23*

Truly original, great art and controls. Highly underrated

### 5/5 — These reviews are crazy.

*2020-07-30*

I bought Path to Mnemosyne on the Nintendo Switch first. I was afraid it was going to be more of a horror game than I am comfortable with, but it’s pretty restrained. (Way too scary for kids, though!) But I really loved it. I discovered there was an iOS version, and was shocked to see the reviews were so negative.

I don’t understand the complaints about controls. You use your left thumb to run forward and back, rotate the world, and hit switches. You use your right thumb to jump. It is a very standard mobile gaming approach.

The visuals and sound are identical to the console version. At first I thought there was a bug - I don’t get any sound without headphones. But that may be because I have my phone mute switch on.

Some of the puzzles are a bit fiddly, and I am still getting stuck on the warp holes, but in general it’s not too challenging. I haven’t needed any puzzles spoiled by walkthroughs. If you get stuck and don’t know what to do, try walking back. Further back. Keep going. See anything interesting?

If you like beautiful, hand-drawn games with a creepy but not overtly scary theme, and eerie and effective sound design, brain-tickling puzzles, and an interesting if somewhat unfulfilling plot, you should give this a try. It deserves so much more credit than the App Store crowd has given it so far.

### 5/5 — J’aime beaucoup

*2020-07-12*

### 5/5 — Wow!

*2020-04-10*

I love the Graphics and I loved the decision making. Although once you get the hang of it, it does end very suddenly. Not a long game... but it was very challenging and I loved it! Thanks!!

### 4/5 — Interesting game

*2021-01-13*

A unique and entertaining puzzle/adventure game. Controls are fine. Only crashed once without losing my progress. Tricky and frustrating at times but quite diverting. Recommended.

### 4/5 — Good start

*2020-03-29*

Nice game, I enjoy the puzzles. Just started...

**Developer response:** Sorry about that - could you email us at info@crescentmoongames.com with which device you have so we can figure out what's going on? Thanks very much :)

### 3/5 — Either buggy or super difficult

*2020-07-12*

I’m stuck on the pupil screen you can see in the screenshot here, & for the life of me can’t get any part of the screen to move or respond in any way to my touch/drag/etc. Restarted the app, thinking maybe it had frozen, & it’s reopened with me at the start of the previous section, which I’d already completed. That’s enough disappointments for me to give up today. Graphics & sound are cute/quirky tho, & the first couple of puzzles were fun.

### 3/5 — Doesn’t Work Properly

*2020-04-23*

Update: I’m still having issues. So one of the discs on the path in the previous hall wasn’t white, so I fixed that per the developer’s suggestion, and the eye opened. But now my game is crashing every time I try to turn the second constellation the correct way. I’ve tried to complete the second constellation several times but the moment I get it into the right position, the game crashes. I’m just going to delete this game because it’s so frustrating, but I’m updating my stars rating to 3 instead of 1 because I appreciate the quick response from the developer!

First review: I got to the 4th puzzle, solved it, turning all the discs on the paths white, I got the “ding” sound signifying I solved it, but the eye still won’t open. I just keep getting the voice telling me to “Activate your senses” And I know it’s solved because when I walk back over the discs, they no longer change color. If this is how the game functions, it was a waste of money!

**Developer response:** Hello there,
You might still need to complete the 12 discs to open the eye, there are 2 groups of 6, and the two groups must be solved to open that door. Please let me know if that works.
sorry about that!
-Josh

### 3/5 — Some of this was very visually appealing

*2020-04-02*

And some of this got repetitive
