However, since I’m part of the iOS sheeple, I haven’t been able to enjoy the device app. Let me tell you, I was exile rates to just find out from a Reddit post that this was now an iOS app. I immediately downloaded, verified it was the same, and then purchased the full version. There is a free and purchased version. Now if your just starting out or are still new to pathfinder then the free version is going to suit you wonderfully. You will have access to everything you need to run your first adventures without a problem. In fact, when you print these out, you will have all the information you need explained and available. No additional spell cards needed. With the paid, yes you get everything. If your a character goblin like me, then you’ll make plenty of use with a million characters you’ll never use. The app gives you explanations, references, and the freedom to really dive into the character building without having to scrounge the internet for all the details. I’ll be honest, I tried doing this myself once and quickly got overwhelmed. So I’m comfortable giving a one time payment for the iOS app, because I chipped at the Iceberg of what this is and was overwhelmed. For some reason, you have to pay separately for desktop and for mobile. A ridiculous and greedy app. ### 1/5 — Deceptive charges *2025-11-27, version 29* I payed for this product online. They artificially gate the website on mobile and want to charge full price again for me to look at my characters on mobile. Especially since most of my games are online ### 2/5 — Functionally fantastic, but needs work on iPad *2025-10-14, version 28* Pathbuilder 2e for iOS is great—it has all the features from the web version that has made it such a must-have tool for building and managing Pathfinder characters. The iPhone version would get 5 stars from me, but the iPad version loses three of those stars because it is basically the iPhone version, but wider. When in landscape mode on the iPad it should use the same layout as the web version. Also, the parchment look makes it extremely dated—not in a good way. Sorry David :/ ### 3/5 — Reviewing the app *2026-07-28* I’m interested in Pathfinder 2e and was hoping this app would help me learn more about the game and create characters. Unfortunately, the character creation screen does not appear to work with VoiceOver. When I select the option to create a new character, VoiceOver only detects what seems to be a screenshot or image, with no accessible controls or choices. Activating it simply takes me back to the main screen. I would really like to use Pathbuilder, but at the moment I cannot access its main feature. Please consider adding proper VoiceOver support, including labeled buttons, accessible selection menus, headings, and clear announcements for selected options. Better screen-reader accessibility would allow more blind and visually impaired Pathfinder players to use the app, which could also lead to more downloads and purchases. I hope accessibility can become a priority in a future update. ### 4/5 — Character options error *2026-04-01, version 38* I’m not sure if you’ve noticed since you’ve done more than 6 updates over the last 6 months and still managed to miss a problem where using mythic destinies as high level archetypes still aren’t showing up even if you include it as an option in character options settings. It works on browser version but specifically iOS is having this issue. Cloud saved my characters, deleted the app multiple times and reinstalled the app and still has the same problem. ### 4/5 — Almost there *2026-03-11* For starters, I like how simple this app is and the way it allows me to transition between PC and mold device so easily. Having it in app form allows me to test a lot of theories while on the go unfortunately, my biggest hangup is that the custom options seem a bit glitchy. When I try to create custom items, it has a tendency to clear the information in a previous box when I move onto the next. when I create homebrew storylines, I like to first create the items on my own account and then transfer it to the players while in GM mode. On PC this feature works great, but unfortunately, the app version likes to fight me on this. Hopefully an update will soon fix this. ### 5/5 — Seriously the Best *2026-05-25* I would say this is the best app to be honest. I play campaigns using it, roll dice, and it is easy to use. It can be overwhelming because it has everything, but that is because there is so much customization in pathfinder! That’s how good this is app is. If this isn’t what you’re using my only question is: why? It’s definitively the best app for this game, it interfaces with VTT. It’s got all the stuff. It tells you when builds do or don’t meet prerequisites. Seriously, you should be using this. No subscription, just a one time fee if you don’t want ads. Thank you for the update to resolve the ipad fullscreen issue! Potential bug - I can’t seem to copy character in the app and save them in the same folder. EX: copy from google drive to google drive, with a new name. I was so happy to find the iOS version, that I immediately spent the $6.99 to unlock full functionality without even using the app first. Redrazors does an excellent job bugfixing the app when something comes up (and does an excellent job prioritizing bugs for functionality) and keeps the database updated very quickly. All of the source references point to Archives of Nethys (official/semi-official Paizo online reference site) and new information from there is included as soon as possible after it’s available. Whether you’re trying to organize a single character or theory crafting dozens, this is the best resource you’ll find out there. ### 5/5 — My Favorite Companion *2026-01-01* I simply can’t say enough about how thankful I am for this tool. Our party has been using the website version for multiple sessions and we all happily paid for the mobile app as soon as it released. The UI is pleasant and succinct.
