### 4/5 — Love this app

*2024-01-09*

But I could’ve sworn that this had an option to change the language in the app…
It would certainly make it easier to browse using the books in pt without having to guess the name of the spells…

### 4/5 — Great app !

*2023-11-11, version 1.2*

This has been most helpful.
Would like to see it updated with new classes spells and new spells from books published after the CMB, even if they were an in app purchase!

Thank you for all your hard work

### 3/5 — Amazing App, Please Update Spell List

*2023-07-02, version 1.2*

Instantly bought the full version. App is amazing, only downside is it’s only core rule book. Please update the spell list!!! I beg!

### 3/5 — Can we have the other classes in the APH?

*2023-06-04, version 1.2*

I really like this app! I just really wish it had the other spell casting classes! Do you think we could get an update with those? It would be stellar

### 4/5 — Need an update

*2023-01-16, version 1.2*

I love the DnD 5e version and when I saw that the same developers made a Pathfinder 2e I was so glad. But it’s been 3 years sense the last update. Please update it to the most current version as the DnD one is current!

### 4/5 — Great app! Outdated, though

*2022-04-25, version 1.2*

I would love to pay extra to have spells from the expansion books included.

### 4/5 — Good! No advanced Player Spelld

*2021-10-11*

Everything is OK but no advanced player spells.

### 4/5 — Would give it a 5 if it updated

*2021-09-04, version 1.2*

Please please please update this app.
Secrets of Magic
New classes
New bloodlines and many more updates to 2e have come out and still nothing for this app. In time this app with become outdated without those.

### 4/5 — Wonderful App but needs updating

*2021-06-15, version 1.2*

I use this app all the time and it’s a godsend for casters. There’s only one problem: they haven’t updated it past the core rulebook’s classes and spell list.
I would love to see them add Witch and Oracle, as well as put the new spell additions from the APG onto the list.

Hopefully this happens before the next major caster-class based book comes out with Magus and Summoner, or it will only continue to fall further behind.

### 4/5 — Super handy but out of date

*2021-02-04, version 1.2*

The app helps track spells effectively but lack of updates makes it no longer relevant

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2021-02-03*

Pretty useful app, but it would be better with spells from Advanced Player’s Guide (Spells from other books, like Lost Omens: Gods and Magic are desirable, but APG spells in my opinion are necessary)

### 4/5 — Very useful, would appreciate update!

*2021-01-04, version 1.2*

I made the purchase to add multiple characters because I’ve been playing more than one spellcaster in Pathfinder 2e. It’s been incredibly helpful for keeping track of spells, but one thing I would like is an update for some of the newer classes from the Advanced Player’s Guide (like the Witch and the Oracle).

### 4/5 — Nice

*2020-12-26, version 1.2*

Nice app. Sadly the Oracle class is missing

### 3/5 — missing uncommon spells

*2020-12-22, version 1.2*

This app is clean overall and easy to use, but seems to not contain all spells or at least not uncommon/rare spells. Having a dark mode or night mode option would also be a plus.

Some examples of missing spells are:
Sudden bolt, devour life, magical fetters, crying, sea surge, rope trick, rime slick, ethereal jaunt, talking corpse, imp sting, power word blind/kill/stun, astral labyrinth, etc.

Could an iPad version also be done? Currently it seems to only be iPhone but the iPad does allow me to ‘stretch’ the image so it’s not super inconvenient

### 3/5 — Great App but Needs 2 additions

*2020-12-02, version 1.2*

No doubts a very good and helpful app to have but it has its shortcomings which is making me change to paper.

1) Really needs more spell lists added live advanced players guide ect.

2) Really needs the ability to write and add your own spells.

If it had these two things I would literally buy the app again. Otherwise I need the OG paper.

### 4/5 — Need to update with non-core book spells

*2020-11-28, version 1.2*

Firstly, I LOVE this app as a new GM, easy to search without googling stuff and if NPCs are casters can store their spell lists in here for easy reference, but it only has the core rulebook spell lists and my players often want to use spells from the Character Guide or Advanced Players Guide (etc), not just the CRB.
Even just adding the APG would be good. Only flaw in an otherwise great app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nice try, but crippled

*2026-07-30, version 1.2*

Only <600 spells listed out of the 1800 available.
Too many classes missing such as animist, totally absent.
Furthermore, there isn’t the chance to filter by magic traditions.

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2026-06-25, version 1.2*

The app is fine, but sadly it stopped receiving updates a long time ago. It does not contain the Remaster version of the spells.

### 1/5 — This App isn’t Accurate

*2025-07-23, version 1.2*

Pathfinder 2 renamed their spells and has added many more since the initial release of this app. This app clearly isn’t tended to or updated. Outdated and useless.

### 1/5 — no advanced players guide spells

*2021-10-10, version 1.2*

so pretty useless unless you don’t use any of that content

### 2/5 — Remastered Spell list

*2025-03-18, version 1.2*

Possibly missed aomething, but the spells are not the remastered version. Harder to search things on the fly when running Scenarios that use the new spell names.

### 2/5 — Dropped project

*2023-05-17, version 1.2*

Great idea, however, not being updated for 3 years makes the app hopelessly obsolete. Missing 40% of all spells simply isn’t good enough. Using Archives of Nethys on any browser will get you far more accurate results even if it lacks all the filter options.

### 2/5 — Extremely Disappointing

*2023-02-06, version 1.2*

I recently came to PF2e from DnD5e and used this developer’s 5e app. Both apps are great from basically every angle, and are basically the same so there is nothing to learn. So why, you might ask, is this a 2 star review? They differ in one major way: the spell list. This app hasn’t been updated for 3 years and only has the core spells. The DnD5e app has basically every spell ever printed. It’s clearly something that can be done with relative easy. Like if books just came out it’d be one thing. But 3 years? Outrageous. And to charge for product this at this stage is basically criminal. Imagine buying a car in 2023 but the manufacturer says they refuse to put in anything more advanced than a radio. Ridiculous. Despite loving the app I’ll need to go with something else, and probably worse, now because half or less of the spells I can use aren’t in here.

### 2/5 — App is OK - outdated

*2022-06-11, version 1.2*

It appears it hasn’t been updated since the core rule book release. Any new feats, classes, ancestries, etc don’t show. Path builder is a much more sophisticated app but they don’t have an IOS version yet, so still searching.

### 2/5 — Clunky interface and missing spells

*2021-09-05, version 1.2*

Makes Druids learn every single spell before being able to add them to prepared list, despite Druids automatically having access to all spells from their list. When adding them to known spells it makes you choose a spell level, pointless for most classes since that's only used for prep and casting. If adding a lot of spells, don't tap too quickly because the app is too busy animating the success message and will ignore other clicks.

### 2/5 — Desperately Outdated

*2020-12-30, version 1.2*

This was the most handy app around when the core rules were all that existed, but now it’s just not helpful anymore.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice!

*2023-03-20, version 1.2*

We absolutely need an update for all the spells in the system! Please 🙏 thank you so much for your work and dedication!

### 5/5 — A great app for casters

*2021-02-27, version 1.2*

For a free app, this does a great job of showing spell information and tracking a spell book in game. Simple to use and contains all the information a player could want. The filter system is especially useful for narrowing down spell selection during level ups. It does only cover the CRB, so bear that in mind if there are specific spells you want from other sources.

### 5/5 — Update

*2020-12-15, version 1.2*

I enjoy using this app very much. My only thing is that I wish it was updated with the new books, for example the Witches and Oracles, and the spells present there

### 5/5 — Content is great!

*2020-10-25, version 1.2*

The app is easy to use and well-presented, and it is very useful to have your character’s spell descriptions at hand. However, when I try to purchase the app to accommodate more than one character, the app goes into a permanent buffering mode, and I’ve found no way to restore the in-app purchase.

### 5/5 — Great app for spellcasters, GM’s

*2020-07-14, version 1.2*

The app is simple to use and very effective. I would love to see these guys make an app for all pathfinder feats and abilities.

Having all your characters info right in front of you without having to dig through the CRB (my table only has one copy) would be super nice.

Highly recommended this app for spellcasters or GM’s.

### 5/5 — User friendly

*2020-06-05, version 1.2*

The app is extremely user friendly. Has all the means to quickly and easily look up spells you’re looking for. One thing I would note is that it appears (on some spells at least), that the Critical Success, Success, Failure and Critical failure are in the wrong order.
Should still be fairly obvious to work out which effects are failures and which are successes, but may not be apparent if you’re brand new to the app and look up a spell.

### 5/5 — Fiery Boy

*2020-06-01, version 1.2*

The spell “Fiery Body” is listed as “Fiery Boy”. It’s great.

Also great app! Works as intended :)

### 5/5 — Life Saver

*2020-04-05, version 1.2*

I’m originally a d&d player so I use Spellbooks. But this app has helped me from transferring all the spells from the book into the app. Plus the app makes it really easy to look up spells and it’s really useful to know which spells my characters can use. 10/10

### 5/5 — Great app! Nicely organized and easy to use

*2020-01-30, version 1.2*

Thank you so much for making this app! It's exactly what I'm looking for. It runs well and is easy to navigate. My only suggestions are very minor: a Select All or Bulk Select option. I will be using this in my next campaign and will be recommending it to any of my friends who will need it :)

### 5/5 — Good one

*2019-12-23, version 1.1*

A good spell compendium for pathfinder v2. A solid work.
