### 5/5 — Really useful app

*2025-07-19, version 2.14.0*

I’ve found this app really useful for tracking milestones and suggesting new games to play with my baby that will help with their development.
I’m a big fan of the tummy time timer and widget in particular. However, one small thing… the bar chart showing tummy time by day is displaying incorrect data for me. It’s not a big deal, just slightly annoying.

### 5/5 — the best

*2025-06-21, version 2.13.1*

It is free. Activities are concise and interesting! Video explanations are super helpful

### 5/5 — Love love loveee this app

*2025-03-23, version 2.11.0*

Honestly so helpful, i found myself clueless on things to do with my baby but this app has been a lifesaver tbh. I also really like the motivational reminders, im a single mum so no one really tells me that

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2024-11-21, version 2.10.1*

I really enjoy this app. It’s also free! That’s hard to come by. It tracks all of the milestones that my baby goes through. It also has a list of stuff you can do with your baby. So thanks again because I’m definitely recommending this to my friends and family!

### 5/5 — Highly recommend this app as a free resource for new parents

*2024-09-09, version 2.10.0*

This app is a wonderful resource for new and seasoned parents to track their child’s development. The videos and graphs that let you track your child’s skills is wonderful. I am a pediatric physical therapist and finding a free and good app to track and support families with the development of their child is hard. Of all the free apps (even the CDC developmental app), I would recommend this app to any parent seeking support for their child’s development.

### 5/5 — Underrated app for parents!!!

*2024-07-11, version 2.8.0*

Amazing!!! I hope more parents discover this app instead of the apps of those fake influencers. This has so far been well researched and thought of. It is easy to navigate and very useful.

### 5/5 — Has everything I need

*2024-06-19, version 2.8.0*

Perfect app for checking babies milestones and providing activities to help.

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend!

*2024-02-05*

I felt so unprepared going into parenthood- while pregnant I took hours of classes which all flew out the window when reality hit and I had a small little one in my hands. This app reassured me every step of the way that I was covering all my bases to help my little one develop. It gave me the confidence that I wasn’t forgetting to focus on specific tasks and ideas of how to interact with my baby in age appropriate ways when it’s sometimes hard to come up with new activities on your own. I highly recommend this to anyone going into parenthood! - Casey Maher

**Developer response:** Casey, thank you so much for the review! Congratulations on becoming a parent, and we're so happy to hear the app has been helpful to you. Would we be able to use your review in our marketing materials? We wouldn't use your name, just your review. Please reach out to friends@pathways.org to let us know if this would be alright. Thank you again!

### 5/5 — Helpful!

*2024-01-09, version 2.6.2*

Easy to use, awesome to have ideas about activities to do that are simple and don’t require toys. Helpful info about developmental milestones in an organized format

### 5/5 — Best App Ever

*2023-08-17, version 2.4.0*

I had little to no information about premature babies as I recently gave birth to one. This helped me adjust to his prematurity and help me keep track with his development. Definitely sharing this with other moms so they can keep track of their child’s development. It’s never too late or too early to start!

### 5/5 — We love this app

*2023-08-17, version 2.4.0*

I love this app!! I use it to keep track of my daughter’s milestones. I love that it has a checklist to check off milestones as your child goes. It also has SO MANY activities that you can do with your child to help them reach the next milestones.

### 5/5 — Great resource to have!

*2023-08-16, version 2.4.0*

From the educational articles to the best tips for every child’s milestone, this app explains it all thoroughly. There is an answer to the most common & uncommon questions we all have as parents/guardians. Such great information in one app!

### 5/5 — Very helpful!

*2023-08-15, version 2.4.0*

My husband and I recommend this app to our friends and family. The Pathways app provides activities and articles to help all parents and babies. The American Academy of Pediatrics supports Pathways, so we know that we can trust the tools on this app. My sister is a physical therapist, and it means a lot to our family that the people at Pathways develop resources for parents with input from expert speech-language pathologists and occupational and physical therapists. We have great respect for all of the professionals on the Pathways team. Thank you.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Thumbs down

*2025-04-27, version 2.12.0*

Tried multiple times after downloading the app but it just sits on a frozen screen that never moves and has no options. I've deleted it and re-downloaded it multiple times and still nothing

### 2/5 — New update has new bugs

*2024-01-02, version 2.6.1*

The tummy timer was great but no longer works for manual entries or editing of past entries.

Will update once fixed.

### 3/5 — Very useful app and advice parents to must have

*2023-08-17, version 2.4.0*

I have been started using the information of pathways.org from past 6 years. In the Beginning it had no app. Always I would go to YouTube or their website to get information. Now we got this free app and I advise all parents to have this app and helps to check milestones and activities for your kids.

### 3/5 — Helped me so much with my son

*2023-08-08*

I downloaded Pathways as part of a developmental process soon after my son was graduated from the NICU. The app saved me a lot of time researching things on my own. I was happy to get the weekly email digest as well. The tips are timely and informative. I recommend the app and emails to all parents and caregivers.

**Developer response:** We can't thank you enough for this review! We love that you were able to use our free resources to help your baby as he transitioned home. Thank you for sharing!

### 4/5 — Recommend to all my clients- BUT…

*2026-07-16, version 2.19.0*

I love this app! I’m a home visitor and I recommend it to all my clients as a way to find simple activities to do throughout the week instead of just the one thing they do with me every week… and the activities with videos and explanations are SUCH a great way to help families understand how easy and simple it is to
play with their babies while strengthening connection and development. HOWEVER, while I think the activities/milestone tracking side of the app is fairly well developed, I think it would be really great if there was a bit more time put into the developing the logging daily routines like diapers, feedings, etc. This COULD be such a super helpful feature to families with medically high needs families, parents that are learning parenting skills, parents that are tracking new foods etc, but it’s fairly limited to just diapers, bottles/nursing, tummy time, and infant massage… all great things, but if parents could ALSO track solid foods, naps/sleep, even track mood or growth, add notes to activities about if the child liked it or they should try it again later… These things would be such a benefit to families that have multiple caregivers, work with babysitters or kinship care, parents that are on opposite schedules, new foster parents etc, who are all overwhelmed with having a young child and frankly, I think THOSE features could draw them in to using the app and really help support a family as a whole in more areas than JUST milestones.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2024-01-22, version 2.6.2*

Great but your last update keeps crashing the app so I can’t use it anymore

### 4/5 — Confusing controls for tracking

*2023-09-20, version 2.4.1*

It took me a long time to realize the “not started check box” was a drop down and you can track your child's progress by changing to making progress and achieved. Not sure why they picked this control as it isn’t conventional and there is no label to describe what it is. A segmented control or simply radio buttons would have been better given there are only 3 options.

### 4/5 — I been using pathways since my baby was born

*2023-08-17, version 2.4.0*

Enjoy using pathways as they gave great ideas on how to interact with my newborn and check if he was hitting his milestone

### 4/5 — So Far So Good

*2023-08-15, version 2.3.2*

I just recently started using the app but have been reading the weekly emails for over a year. Both have so far been easy to use and helpful for myself but especially for my spouse who has less experience with children

### 4/5 — Best App Ever

*2023-08-08*

I had little to no information about premature babies as I recently gave birth to one. This helped me adjust to his prematurity and help me keep track with his development. Definitely sharing this with other moms so they can keep track of their child’s development. It’s never too late or too early to start!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for rating our app! We're glad to hear it provided information to support your baby's development. You're absolutely right, it's never too early or too late! We saw you rated the app 4 out of 5 stars, so if there's anything you'd like to share to improve our app, we'd love to hear it. Please feel free to reach out to friends@pathways.org. Thank you!

This app is totally free, allows you to track activities if you want, read articles or just learn information as your baby grows. It’s backed by a science and research and is really user-friendly. I absolutely recommend downloading this and checking it out before downloading other apps that offer paid for subscriptions. Lots of great ideas that update weekly for play and what not.
