Abbott you are making loads of money from your patients from something implanted in our bodies. The least you could do is make the app(remote) for all newer phones. It’s absurd to be be in the year 2026 and still carrying around two electronic devices because the remote isn’t available for my phone. Nope I have an IPhone 15 pro that is not compatible. My first response was ok they gave a iPod touch that works. The problem is the iPod touch does not hold a charge. Thankfully my husband has an iPhone 14 but that does not help me when we are not together. Surely the now 1 year 7 month old iPhone 15 Pro would be on the approved list. But, alas, no. Unacceptable!! See below for my previous comments. *********** Now 11 months since iPhone 15 debut. Still no support. Ridiculous. *********** Oh, I was so hopeful when I saw the update today. But, still – after 5 months – no iPhone 15 Pro support! One of the selling points for me upgrading my controller to the Eterna was being able to use my own device. That worked great with my iPhone 13 Pro. When I upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro, I didn’t even consider it not being compatible with this app. Now I’m no better off than I was with my 2007 controller and (at least) the big magnet. I still have to remember a separate device (the iPhone SE (2)). Abbott has had five months to fix this. If it’s something to do with Bluetooth, the FCC has had testing data since before the release of the iPhone 15 series. If not, taking 5 months to add the new phones to the app should be an embarrassment to the software engineers working on this app. Just a miffed customer and retired software engineer’s POV. ### 1/5 — Please update to newer phones *2025-04-01, version 2.0.2* Please update for newer phones, how hard can it be! ### 1/5 — iPhone 15 or 16 iOS 18.3.2 *2025-03-24, version 2.0.2* Why is the iPhone 15 or 16 iOS 18.3.2 not supported? Same iOS as the iPhone SE that came with the stimulator or iPhone 14’s. Abbott please do better and think of your patients please. The fact you are not addressing your patients comments is disturbing. As much as These stimulators cost the least you could do is fix this issue. ### 1/5 — Update your app please *2025-03-16, version 2.0.2* I have had my iPhone 16 for almost a year now and still your app will not work for iPhone 16. Even worse I tried to install on my wife’s iPhone 15 that she has had over 2 years, your app still does not support that. This is unacceptable. I don’t care if Abbot charged for the app, I would gladly pay for it. I can’t see that the amount of coding would be difficult or expensive so why hasn’t it been done. Do I need to implant a new spine stimulator from Boston Scientific or Medtronic? The iPhone that Abbot sold me with my charging kit no longer holds a charge. Now I have to try and find a phone that is 3 or 4 generations old. Updating your software is the logical answer for all concerned including the Abbot reps. I will be writing this review and calling the Abbot rep once a week now until Abbot decides to live in 2025 with the rest of us. ### 2/5 — Not for newer phones *2025-02-22, version 2.0.2* I upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro Max and this app only supports up to to iPhone 14 Pro Max. It’s been a while since he 16 has been released. I don't like having to carry 2 phones, just to be able to modify the stimulator settings. Now that I’ve upgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro Max, the app is not compatible . This is very frustrating as I must carry a separate controller. It’s been several months and the app still has not been upgraded not even for an iPhone 15. While I am grateful to have these devices I find it crazy that my loop app works on my iPhone 15 but my neurostimulator app does not. This is the same problem. Everyone else has. Worst part is the non rechargeable Abbott neuro stimulator app is compatible with iPhone 15/16 and below. What’s the problem here Abbott? The implant works for me and I’m lucky enough that I have a great doctor and support team. I’m okay with not having the newest phone, more grateful that I can have relief from medication all the time. While I’d like to get more frequent updates, I’m always going to be beyond happy to have this device in me. I am so happy with the results that I got a second Abbott implant. I have total of 5 leads in my spine. The company representative is always available (Los Angeles CA area).
