## What is Patient Simulator?

Speak to an AI patient out loud, take the history in your own words, order the investigations you'd really order, read the scans yourself, then get graded out of 100 on your reasoning. Every patient is simulated. This is training, not care.

HOW IT WORKS

Take the history — the patient only tells you what you actually ask, no summary, no hints. Examine and investigate — order from a real catalogue of exam findings, lab tests and imaging studies, each with its own cost. Read the imaging yourself before any answer is shown. Then diagnose, prescribe and manage — one diagnosis from a catalogue of more than 1,300, with no multiple-choice shortlist to work backwards from.

THE SCORECARD

A score out of 100, banded Unsafe to Excellent, across four competencies: Communication, Clinical Workup, Clinical Thinking, and Approach to Treatment — with the critical points you missed spelled out, and why each one mattered.

Over 100 cases, easy to hard, across 17 specialties, filterable by difficulty.

Question banks test recall. Here, nothing is handed to you: the history exists only if you ask for it, the image means nothing until you read it, and the diagnosis only counts if you reached it without five options in front of you. Built for late-clinical students, interns, foundation doctors and international medical graduates preparing for a new system.

IMPORTANT

Diagnosica is for education and training only. Every patient, result and scenario is simulated, and all imaging is de-identified teaching material. The app is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice or diagnosis, and must not be used in the care of any real person.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-04

Your case history, hints for when you're stuck, key findings as you take the history, and a safer case library.

• Case history — every case you have finished is now yours to re-open. Read any past scorecard, compare your attempts at the same case, and jump straight back in from your dashboard.
• Hints — a small pool of hint points on every case, sized by difficulty. Spend them on a nudge about the kind of test you need, the question to ask, or a differential you have missed. Hints never name the diagnosis and never change your score.
• Key findings — when the patient tells you something that matters, it lands as a chip in the chat and in your notes, with a counter so you know how much of the history is still hidden.
• The case library now asks before it restarts a case you have already started or finished, and offers to resume or review it instead.
• Refreshed cases — new images and clinical updates across all 136 cases.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-03

Two-minute quick cases, your streak on screen, and the full scorecard for everyone.

• Quick case — a two-minute case a day. The patient says one line, you reveal clues one at a time and name the diagnosis. Fewer clues, more points, and it keeps your streak without using your monthly cases.
• A Progress screen for your streak, badges and points: the week at a glance, where your points came from, and the next badges to aim for.
• On nights? Pause your streak for the dates you are on call, and reminders stay quiet.
• Three suggested opening questions on every case — there when you want them, gone the moment you type.
• The full scorecard is now on the free plan: every competency, every red flag you missed, and the senior's teaching.
• During a case, a progress strip shows the step you are on and how many questions you have left.
• 25 new cases, 136 in all — more eye, ENT, kidney, mental health and children's cases, and more gentle ones to start on.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-01

Steadier, faster, and the leaderboard is back.

• Fixed a crash that could stop the app opening after you had already used it once.
• The weekly leaderboard is back on your dashboard.
• The app starts up faster, and the patient now speaks properly on older phones.
• You can now turn on a daily practice reminder and pick the hour it arrives.
• A shared case link no longer gives away the diagnosis before you have worked it out.
• After your first case, a short optional check-in asks how it compared with how you normally prepare.
