Forget about trying to message your doctor using this app. Freakin horrible and frustrating as heck. ### 1/5 — Needs modernizing *2022-08-24, version 1.4.14* The app doesn’t work with the iPhone password manager correctly and it also wants to set up fingerprint unlock which isn’t even available on any of the newer iPhones starting with the iPhone X. If you are going to build an app - at least make it easy to use and keep it current. I got all my lab results in record time & my messages were quick to get a response. NOW my labs are all messed up. There is nothing recent and it keeps saying my labs are in and that I have a message, but I don’t. For 1, literally has no information about visits at all, you cant even see what they weighed at that appointment? 2, There is not very many perks at all like most patient portals. It is totally useless if I’m using my iPad. Can’t even see what I’ve typed in my message. When I receive a message, all I get is the person’s signature. And when I try to log into website via internet on my phone it just gives error message every single time. It continues to pull up the same message on the first page but the second page is current. The first page has all the information ### 1/5 — Attachments?? *2023-10-06* I have several patient portal apps and all of them are richly functional. Looks like this app needs to be optimized for mobile devices. Also there is no way to attach a photo from the app!! You have to log in to a browser online to get that feature. Please add this ability!! ### 1/5 — There is no way to cancel appointments *2023-09-11* This app is far from user friendly. I went so far as going to the company’s website to see if there was a way to cancel the appointment I made. The buttons they direct you to click on the website explanation literally do not exist in the app. It’s super frustrating. ### 1/5 — User (i.e. Doctor) adoption is key. *2023-05-12* Not sure if this is true for every medical org that uses this app, but in my area, the major medical group promotes the app…and then they never use it. Makes the app completely worthless. I came to North Carolina from Colorado - UC Health - which has an AMAZING app, fully integrated with their systems - I could email my doctor on it and have a response same day. My lab results were all visible. Meds all listed. My doctors could all read each other’s notes. I could schedule and cancel appts. This app *wants* to be that but will never be if the doctors and admin staff aren’t going to actually engage with their patients that way. Shame really. It’s the 21st century and North Carolina still feels like the 1980’s. ### 1/5 — Embarrassment of an app *2023-04-24* For returning users, you are better off just starting a whole new account. I had to contact 4 different departments just to login in because this EMBARRASSMENT of an app was not recognizing my information. (which was correct the entire time btw) I ended up getting transferred to an I.T. Department just to hard reset my password. I am still not able to login through the app because it is still not recognizing my newly reseted password. I have to go online through safari just to have a chance at logging in, just to view lab results. By far the WORST APP I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. ### 1/5 — Medical mishaps *2023-04-05* My Dr. Of Neurology uses this to give a portal to give patients important information about their health and he deals with the brain. Spent 15 hours trying to get information. Im recommending he change his portal. ### 1/5 — Can’t log in even if staff resets password?? *2023-03-11, version 1.4.16* I thought the app was supposed to be helpful guess i was wrong the app itself needs a major update can’t do the bare minimum but shout out to everyone who made it past the login portion i sure wasn’t able to! ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2022-12-02, version 1.4.15* The only way to read messages is to hit reply. If you send a message and then go to sent messages you cannot see what you read or who you sent it to. Just a simple thing like messaging is difficult. If you go to Patient Portal on a PC it works great. Translation to iPad is terrible. Like WTH waste of time…… ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works Great *2021-07-23, version 1.4.8* You should not set it up without a pin number. Provided by your doctors office. The pin number is required to see your lab results,etc. At first I thought this app was of little use other than messaging. However with the pin you can see appointment schedules, change , cancel ,etc. ### 4/5 — What I would expect *2019-02-13, version 1.2.0* Shows my upcoming appointments, my doctor and her info, all my lab work that I had done. This app is easy and even uses Face ID. I would give it 5 stars if it could link to the apple health app as well. The app doesn’t allow you to upload an attachment to your message. The only way around this is to go to the patient portal using your web browser. When you send messages to Doctor , clinic or whatever. It is very hard to read new message from them. The font of their message is so small you can hardly see what they responded back to us. Not all patients that use this are young with perfect site, older person even with bifocals can not see it. Is this a bug issue? Id really love to be able to see notes about my health. Please fix this. Thank you. ### 3/5 — Needs much more health info available *2020-03-27, version 1.4.2* This is fine for what it is, but the web version apparently has more information available on it. On this app, I cannot see info and history on such things as vitals, height, weight, etc which are taken each visit, yet my sister, who uses the web version, can. I also do not have access to reports from CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound results or any other testing like this. I am not sure if the web version includes this. So I get lab work results, appointment listings and the ability to email my provider. Fine for what it is, but extremely limited. ### 2/5 — Where are lab results? *2023-04-06* This new patient portal American Family Care uses is just blah. The old one on their website gave explicit information and everything was in one place.
