### 5/5 — Paul Nasca rocks!

*2024-10-05*

Unbelievable what Paul Nasca, the developer of the free synthesiser ZynAddSubFx, has created with Paulxstretch! I have blown up my own sample from 13 seconds to 3 minutes. Goosebumps guaranteed! And it's all free in the App Store. I just installed the desktop version on my old Imac...Wow. There is nothing left to be desired when it comes to producing Abient music. Thank you very much!

### 5/5 — Love this so much.. get those witchhouse pads easily

*2024-06-11*

And it’s FREE!

### 5/5 — Quelle belle trouvaille !

*2023-12-04*

Le genre d'appli qui, passe inaperçue mais qui ravira tous les sound-designers. Que du bonheur et gratuit avec ça ! Grand merci aux développeurs.

### 5/5 — So good to Have it (on iOS)

*2023-10-11*

TimeStretching without Any compromises…

### 5/5 — auV3?

*2023-08-31*

Where can I find the auV3 Version? It doesn’t show up in the AUM menu. Thanks for the great app ❤️❤️

### 5/5 — An absolute marvel!

*2023-08-10*

Thank you very much for your effort to bring this wonderful tool on the iOS/iPad OS ecosystem. 🙏

### 5/5 — 11/10

*2023-07-26*

definitely one of the best apps on my phone ever, so easy to use and such great results every single time,
can’t believe it’s free,
much love!

### 5/5 — Instant Calm

*2023-05-10*

An ambient music makers dream, great to see an old desktop cult favourite make its way to iOS.

### 5/5 — Incredible sonic manipulation! 🐠

*2023-05-08*

You have to explore this amazing sound tool to fully appreciate its brilliance but it’s hard not to be blown away by the diverse gamut of sounds that can be teased, generated, and manipulated in real time (or otherwise) from literally anything (field recordings, samples, creative sound capture etc).

I can’t believe the developers kind enough to provide access to this for free but I would happily support any further development as this is an incredible sound design tool and provides some truly magical sonic abilities. The design and interface is simple, clean and intuitive with lots of tweak ability (inc AU support) so delicious, thanks!

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing

*2023-04-02*

Incredible app for drones and ambient music. Or anything experimental. Thankful for the dev for porting this and making it free. One of the best on the entire App Store.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2023-01-11*

I had this app in beta and it was great. If you are into ambient this app will be up your ally. You can get some fabulous sounds from your samples. I know if I get lost in an app for a few hours at a time it must be a good app.

### 5/5 — A sonic event horizon type o' thing.

*2023-01-01*

Who knew music sounded so good at 120MPB?

### 5/5 — Thank you so much for making this available to users on iOS

*2022-12-25*

I don’t have any sort of technology available for music making besides an iPhone, so this is very helpful.

I’ve been using this app since it was in it’s beta phase and it’s still really incredible. Using this app, I made around 3 ambient albums under the name slacks bar and grill.

Once again, thank you so much for making this available for iOS. If I could reach through the screen and hug you, I would.

### 5/5 — This is Amazing Fun.

*2022-12-19*

With a capital ‘S’ for Sound. Ambient sound. With so many synth apps I’d wished I’d never bought, this, I’d paided real money for! Ambient play toy, only not a top. Experimental goodness.

### 5/5 — superior!

*2022-12-07*

crashes when trying to load an external audio file (ipad air1, ios 10.3.3)

### 5/5 — A Desktop Freeware Classic Now On iPhone (YAY!)

*2022-12-03, version 1.6.1*

Longtime PS user here; I’ve spent at least several hundred hours tweaking the desktop standalone for sound design, analysis, and learning about mathematical window functions. Heck, I’ve even based a whole musical side project on PaulStretch.

So imagine my extreme delight to see an excellent iOS port of the source code with a great UI and best of all FREE, just like the original.

In a world full of awful weirdness and weird awfulness, things like this keep my spirits up.

### 5/5 — Excellent Port By A Top Dev

*2022-12-03*

As above!

### 5/5 — An Oddball Classic

*2022-12-02*

Big props to the folks at Sonosaurus for breathing new life into this classic!

### 2/5 — good app, but I can’t access anymore

*2026-05-31*

i loved using this app to make some good old ambient music, but I’ve now found that whenever I try to render or do ANYTHING with the app, it will crash on me. ruins a perfect experience, honestly. if constant crashing could be fixed, this app would definitely get five stars

### 2/5 — Hmmm

*2023-01-17*

This is harder to use then it is on a normal computer I like that it’s an app though

### 5/5 — Wow

*2026-06-21*

This is fantastic for sound scapes. Top draw. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2026-05-24*

Actually amazed by the dev who offers this for free.. works totally fine and the design has gotten so much better. Thank you lots for this marvelous app fren

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2026-05-09*

It’s quite astounding what this can do. I know of no other app or device which can manipulate the speed of a track like this without aliasing. Two thumbs up.

### 5/5 — I like it

*2026-02-14*

cooll

### 5/5 — Excellent tool!

*2025-12-08*

Finally, an app that does what it promises and is straightforward to use. The only thing I would like to see added are mute and solo buttons in the ratio mixer.
And, by the way, the app doesn't suck up any data, so it definitely deserves five stars!!!

### 5/5 — Thank you for being awesome

*2025-05-24*

In a world full of mediocre services, abusive data collection and ad spamming, PaulXStretch stands tall.
A marvel for sound design, the stretching algorithm is unlike anything I’ve heard.
All that in a multi-platform free app with no ads or data harvesting.
Hats off Sonosaurus !!!

### 5/5 — One of my all-time favs

*2025-05-20*

This plugin is one of the joys of my life. Too bad it no longer is available after the last iOS update.

### 5/5 — Merveilleux

*2025-02-10*

Beau travail merci

5 stars!!!

### 5/5 — A Desktop Classic

*2024-12-05*

I’ve spent at least several hundred hours tweaking the desktop standalone for sound design, analysis, and learning about mathematical window functions, nice to be able to do this on my phone.

@devs - Would it be possible to add the window shape function from the desktop version (Hamming, Hanning, etc.)?
