### 5/5 — It works for me

*2026-07-17*

I was given an opportunity to be a test person in this program. I have suffered with knee and foot numbness since 2018. I had sciatica that’s gone away. I also had severe stomach issues that I was taking medication for that’s gone away. The only thing I could not make go away was my foot numbness in my knee numbness as I sit here today it’s better not completely gone. I practice transcendental meditation. I practiced mindfulness at first. I got great success from this app and then it even out then there were a couple bad days so all of this will take time if you wanna give it a try I did I plan on using it for a full year and being open every doctor every clinical clinical technician I also had hypnotherapy and that didn’t touch it so go ahead and give it a try the worst thing that could happen is nothing. It’s way better than surgery.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your journey. Enjoying the lessons, and being surprised with outcomes is a great approach. I know from experience that consistency matters, so I appreciate your commitment to keep going. — Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — So good!

*2026-07-17, version 1.5.12*

Sometimes I’m a little shocked how good I feel from using this app consistently.

### 5/5 — A Transformative Experience

*2026-07-07*

I've been amazed by the Feldenkrais Method, and this app has made it easy to experience its benefits firsthand. After several weeks of using the guided lessons, I became much more aware of my body in ways I never had before. For years, my massage therapist told me the right side of my body was different from my left, but I couldn't feel it. Now I can—and that alone has been an incredible experience.
Also, I'm recovering from depression and navigating perimenopause, both of which have affected my cognitive function. These lessons help me get out of my head and reconnect with my body, leaving me feeling calmer, clearer, and more present. I'm very grateful I found this app and would gladly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Pausature

*2026-07-03*

Pausature has been a great addition to my daily routine. I work a physically demanding job, and the guided exercises have helped me become much more aware of my posture, movement, and body mechanics throughout the day. Glad i found Pausature!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words. I'm so glad Pauseture has become part of your daily routine, and especially glad to hear it's helping you build more awareness of your posture and movement given how physically demanding your job is. That kind of body awareness throughout the day is exactly what Feldenkrais is all about. Thanks for finding us and taking the time to share. - Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Posture & Immediate Relief From Muscle Pain Right on My Phonr

*2026-07-01*

I cannot recommend the Pauseture app enough; I’ve found its Feldenkrais approach to be especially effective for my arthritis. Within the past few years, I noticed increasing stiffness and joint pain, particularly in my hands and shoulders, and I felt like my posture wasn't as good as it used to be. Traditional exercises often left me feeling more inflamed, but Pauseture has been a completely different story. One of the things I like so much about this app is the sheer variety and convenience of the easy to follow lessons. Having a multitude of targeted sessions right on my phone means I can choose exactly what my body needs that day—whether I want to focus on my upper body or just need a quick reset.
The gentle, mindful movements helped me identify and shift the subtle, bad posture habits I had developed to protect my joints. Pauseture is teaching me how to move with ease, efficiency, and zero strain. Because the movements are incredibly gentle and respectful of your physical limits, I always finish a session feeling a profound and immediate release in tension and significantly less joint pressure.
It doesn't just treat the symptoms; it teaches how to move throughout the day, making walking, sitting, and reaching with more comfort. If you feel stiffness, joint pain or muscle tension, give Pauseture a chance. The flexibility of the app's library and the relief it brings has truly improved my mobility!

**Developer response:** Thank you for this — "it doesn't just treat the symptoms, it teaches how to move throughout the day" is exactly what Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement is designed to do. Your brain is literally learning new movement options, and your joints get to stop bracing. So glad Pauseture is bringing you relief and ease. Keep exploring the library — there is so much more waiting for you.

### 5/5 — Skeptical at first, but now a believer!

*2026-06-27*

I was skeptical to try Pauseture at first since I have so many unused apps on my phone with annoying notifications that I just ignore.

But, Pauseture is great for me because there is no ambient noise and there is no right or wrong way to perform a movement. I can just tune in and listen to where my body is on that specific day.

And, the text reminders are gentle nudges that I actually welcome.

I started Pauseture because of back pain from sitting at a desk all day. After using Pauseture for a couple months, my back pain has definitely decreased. I continue to maintain my back health but have also become more aware of the rest of my body. The Pauseture library is a great resource to fine tune my exercise plan based on my body’s constantly changing needs. Give it a try!

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share you went from skeptic to appreciating the use of our app.

Back pain from sitting at a desk all day is rarely just about the back — it's about how the whole body has organized itself around that position over time. The fact that you're now noticing the rest of your body is exactly the right direction. That whole-body awareness is where the lasting change comes from. Keep exploring. The library will meet you wherever you are. You can choose lying down lessons when wanting to relax. Or you can filter for a seated lesson while will improve your awareness how you're sitting, so you can find greater comfort in sitting.— Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Appreciate this app

*2026-06-23*

I have been using Pauseture consistently, my golf swing is much easier and better from the movement I do in the app

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience. With regular practice, people often notice that as tension eases, movement feels more coordinated and balanced. Rather than effort coming from isolated areas, the body begins to move more as a whole, which can make daily activities feel more comfortable over time. We appreciate you recommending Pauseture.

### 5/5 — Much more than I expected!

*2026-06-23*

I engaged in a 21 day series. As a physical therapist, I am aware of this method, but never had specific training. Each morning, I established a routine to finish the series and soon after starting, I found myself looking forward to the next day. My awareness of movement became more astute and I could feel the difference in my body after each session. The impact is big for a short time investment. I’ll definitely continue my journey to learn more about this work with the app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for bringing your physical therapy background to the practice. "The impact is big for a short time investment" is exactly what we hope people discover. The second set of 21 lessons (20 to 30 minute lessons) is where many people find even deeper changes. So grateful to have a PT experience this firsthand. The Feldenkrais Method is a wonderful complement to any PT program. - Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Wow! 😍

*2026-06-23*

The bite sized lessons and affordability of this app offer a very accessible approach to Feldenkrais. The lesson recordings are high quality and the instruction is excellent. I highly recommend!

**Developer response:** Thank you! Bite-sized and accessible was exactly the goal. There are free ATM recordings online, but sound quality was the #1 priority for when building Pauseture — especially for sound-sensitive people like me. Guild Certified teachers, studio-quality recordings, at a price that doesn't require a second thought. So glad it's landing that way. - Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Very relaxing

*2026-06-21, version 1.5.9*

I’ve really enjoyed doing the 21 day challenge. I always feel more relaxed after a session and feel like something is different, in a positive way, but it’s hard to put my finger on. I’m definitely going to continue doing a session each day. The sessions are short so they’re really easy to incorporate into your day.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-06-15, version 1.5.9*

I love Pauseture. It helps me ground and relax, get out of head and be in my body. It’s easy to use and easy to do.

### 5/5 — So good

*2026-06-12*

I’ve loved this experience. Now that I’ve taken the time to slow down I really see the importance in my physical body and mind. I feel like both are calmer and more grounded . I look forward to doing more.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. Slowing down to feel something is exactly what our 21 lesson intro series was designed for. And, finding the connection between mind and body is the beginning of your journey. Our library of 365+ lessons are there for you to continue your journey. - Beverly Atkins, Founder

### 5/5 — Loving this app

*2026-05-25, version 1.5.7*

It’s fairly basic and simple. But I’ve finally created a consistent somatic practice. I loved being guided for 21 days to get started. I’m now exploring more lessons. When I skip a day, I notice it. I’ve finally found a form of “meditation” that works for me. Thank you for this. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Feel great

*2026-04-16*

I have ADHD so listening without demonstrations was difficult for me. Sometimes I fell asleep or turned it off. But over time the subtle movements helped me physically in my karate class and the balance for surfing. Do yourself a favor and try it!

**Developer response:** Thank you for sticking with it even when listening without demonstrations felt challenging at first. I also have ADHD and have found that my listening skills improved with consistent practice. It sounds like that may be happening for you too. That curiosity, staying with the discomfort rather than quitting, is exactly how neuroplastic change happens. Better listening, karate and surfing — these are exactly the kinds of benefits I had hoped for when creating Pauseture. — Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Very helpful app

*2026-03-06*

Been using it for a while, and already feeling better and less back pain. Recommend to everyone who struggles with back pain

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing this. I’m so glad to hear the lessons are helping and that you’re already noticing less back pain.

Many people come to Pauseture looking for relief and discover something surprising: it’s not about doing the movements perfectly, but about bringing awareness to how you move and making small adjustments. Often the people who find relief sooner are the ones who experiment with "doing less" and moving more comfortably as they explore the lessons.

I really appreciate you recommending it to others.

### 5/5 — Pickleball Game Changer

*2026-03-05*

I have had low back issues playing pickleball for some time and when I first started using the Pauseture app I wasn’t sure if it would help. Boy, was I wrong!!!. Not only did the pain fade away, but my core felt stronger and my body as a whole felt more connected. It is crazy to think that such subtle movements can completely change the way you move, but it has made such a positive impact on my game and on my ability to perform on the court with ease and most importantly without pain. If you haven’t given Pauseture a try it is a must!!

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and encourage others to try Pauseture. This is exactly why I built it — to help people find more comfort and joy in the things they love doing.

Some people find joy simply in doing the lessons. Others use them to support the activities they care about, like being on the pickleball court.

What you noticed is also really interesting. While traditional core work focuses on strengthening specific muscles, these lessons help your nervous system organize how all the muscles work together. When the body coordinates more efficiently, people often feel stronger, more connected, and able to generate more power in their reach and return.

I’m so glad it’s helping you play with more ease and without pain. Thank you again for sharing your experience. - Beverly Atkins, Founder

### 5/5 — Amazingly Helpful!!

*2026-02-26*

This method has really helped me connect my mind to my body which has been so beneficial for injury recovery, muscle growth and trauma recovery. I’m able to notice how I’m moving, how I’m laying when trying to sleep, where I’m keeping stress and tension and helps me calm down to get ready for bed. I didn’t understand it immediately but when I stopped trying to do it “correctly” and just allowed myself to listen and connect with my body it all started to click. Everyone can benefit from adding this into their routine!

**Developer response:** Thank you for this thoughtful reflection. What you described — noticing how you’re moving, how you’re lying down, where you’re holding tension — is exactly where change begins. It’s truly in the awareness, not the movements alone, that supports injury recovery, muscle balance, and nervous system regulation.

As you mentioned, letting go of trying to do it “correctly” is part of the power of the method. Many of us have been conditioned to perform. Returning to a more childlike curiosity — the way we first learned to move — is what allows the nervous system to reorganize.

Hearing that it’s supporting your recovery and sleep is exactly why I care so much about making this work accessible. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Beverly Atkins, Founder

### 5/5 — Unexpectedly effective

*2026-02-19*

I wasn’t sure this would be for me. I tried yoga and it wasn’t for me and I’ve not had the attention for meditation. I found it odd at first there were no videos to demonstrate, but after a few lessons I found it helpful to listen rather than watch.

Within a few weeks, I noticed less tension in my neck, shoulders and back.

These aren’t workouts. Maybe workout for listening skills and brain training.

For anyone skeptical, i say trust the process of these practical lessons.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. I’m glad you gave it a few lessons to get used to a new approach without demonstrations.

Many people who haven’t connected with yoga appreciate focusing on what feels good for them, rather than mimicking what feels good for a teacher. That shift often helps people discover movement that works well in their own body.

I’m especially glad to hear you’ve noticed a reduction in tension over time. That’s exactly why I built Pauseture — to make this work more accessible and affordable for more people.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App stopped working

*2025-10-30, version 1.3.7*

This app was great for a while. Today it’s stuck on the welcome screen.

### 3/5 — Note on trial offer

*2025-11-24, version 1.4.0*

I heard about this on the “Hacking your ADHD” podcast, where Beverly notes that she was adamant on not doing a free trial that would automatically charge afterward because of how difficult it is for people with ADHD to remember to cancel, but I’m only seeing that option. I want to try it, but don’t want another thing I have to remember to do.

### 4/5 — Mindful Exercises

*2026-08-13*

After a month of following the exercises I have become much more aware of how I hold and move my body. The places where I hold tension are so clear now and it’s made me more mindful of myself.
Since these are audio-based exercises (which seems better, so one doesn’t have to strain to see the screen), sometimes it was difficult to follow what the instructor was saying; for example, while lying down the instruction would be “bring your arms forward” and it was hard to visualize since the arms were already forward, when what was meant was “arms up towards the ceiling”.
Overall, this has helped me be more mindful and aware of how my body processes stress and tension, and it has taught me to relax and observe.

**Developer response:** Thank you for a month of practice and for this thoughtful reflection. "Taught me to relax and observe" — that's the whole method right there.

On the confusion with instructions. When the brain has to figure out a movement from the inside rather than copying what it sees, or knowing exactly what to do immediately, it fires up in a completely different way. It's in that confusion — that internal searching — where the deepest neurological changes happen. Clarity and perfection keep us on autopilot, without curiosity. Uncertainty opens us to learning.

We've intentionally made our intro lessons easier to follow than classic Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons — which can be far more confusing. Think of Pauseture as the on-ramp. As you continue and explore deeper into the library, you'll find the lessons become more nuanced and the instructions more layered. Getting comfortable with that confusion is part of the journey — and the pleasure of finding what feels right for you in the process is where real change lives.

### 4/5 — Good Daily Exercise

*2026-06-24*

I loved the app. It’s a good way to ensure I spend time everyday stretching and exercising. A few exercises were hard to follow without a visual example but most were just fine.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. I'm glad it helps you establish a daily practice.

Spending time giving attention to your body is what we're all about. Our audio lessons work differently than traditional stretching or exercise: it's a way for your nervous system to better integrate how your mind and body communicate, so you can do things with greater efficiency and less effort.

The audio-only format can be confusing and possibly frustrating, at times, and that is by design, as your brain changes the most when you find change from the inside out, instead of copying a demonstration. It's a practice to get into a beginner's mindset about our own body, that can have amazing results over time - Beverly, Founder

### 4/5 — Relaxing

*2025-10-20, version 1.3.5*

I really enjoy this app and its practices. I would suggest they add more education about why doing the movements helps with the CNS, mobility, overall well-being.

### 5/5 — Short, daily mindful movement practice

*2026-08-27*

This app is such a great way to build a daily mindful movement practices. These shorter lessons are so much easier to fit in regularly. Feldenkrais lessons have significantly changed my life for the better, and bravo to the teachers and developers who are making this work more accessible.

### 5/5 — A calming reset

*2026-08-24*

Before I started using Pauseture, I had a hard time bending over while sitting down to tie my left shoe. After doing the sessions, I noticed a major improvement, which was one of the first signs that the exercises were making a real difference for me.

I also didn’t expect Pauseture to feel a little like meditation. I thought I would prefer videos, but the audio-guided approach is actually less stressful. It helps me focus on how my body feels and relax, instead of worrying about doing every movement perfectly.

I especially like using it in the middle of a busy day. It gives me a chance to slow down, clear my mind, relax my body, and reset.

With a 7-day free trial, I’d definitely encourage people to give it a try and see if it’s a good fit for them!

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking time to leave your review. While we have a "Tying Shoes" function available in our search filters, I don't think many people filter for that. But, here is the truth about our lessons. Every lesson helps every thing, so while you may use Pauseture for a daily pause to move through your day more calmly, you notice shoe tying easier, your focus improves, aches and pains begin to fade away. This is a whole body mind approach with benefits. Doing the lessons to stay present and curious with them, with no goal, often leads to the greatest benefits. Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Game Changer

*2026-08-09*

I have been happily taking Feldenkrais classes for once a week for two years which has been helpful for back and hip issues as an older dance student.

I’ve been regularly using this app for about two months. It has really helped me to expand my practice in realistic time frames. I can address tight hips in a ten minute time frame over my lunch break and feel re-energized for the rest of my day. Or if I have an event at the end of the day I can recharge and feel physically and mentally soothed and ready to go out and dance and socialize.

It’s really helped me to realize that rushing around stressed out and in pain does not have to be a default mode. Finally, the filter is excellent for individualizing anyone’s issues and goals through a wide variety of teachers and teaching styles.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Complimenting live lessons with Pauseture is a powerful combination. As I like to say, one live lesson can feel life changing, and consistent practice can change your life. The app was built for exactly this — expanding what you learn in the room into the moments between classes, whenever you need it. So glad you're dancing and socializing with more ease. — Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Even better now

*2026-08-05*

I’m updating my review. I really liked this app and used consistently. I felt better and stopped using it. I recently started using again and while difference is subtle. I feel more grounded and confident when I take my daily pause. Once I took the break, it is clear how much better I feel with a consistent pause. Highly recommend. It’s such a bargain for health.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share this. We hear versions of this story. People either feel a dramatic change, feel better and quit. Or, feel subtle changes and think it can't possibly be our lessons. But, once you quit, you miss what was supportive in your daily life.

Pauseture was designed to be something you can return to regularly—without pressure, performance, or urgency.

Thank you for taking the time to update your review to reflect where you are now in your journey.

### 5/5 — Standing Straighter and Feeling Less Pain

*2026-08-02*

This app helped me feel less pain in my back and improved my posture. For someone who was unfamiliar with Feldenkrais exercises, having so many in one place, and collected into series, helped me make them into a habit. I was surprised that I was able to address some areas of long-standing tightness and pain with totally different entry points than I ever would have come up with myself. I’ve already recommended this app to family members. It’s well worth it.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience. I was surprised too when I began practicing how my own long-standing hunched posture quietly opened up. And when we learn that posture isn't just about standing straighter, it's about finding new choices in movement. And when we're moving more efficiently, it frees up cognitive bandwidth to think more clearly.

Many people come to Pauseture for the pain. But the benefits tend to be so much more than they expected.

You've truly tapped into what a consistent, playful practice can unlock. So grateful you've already shared it with family. — Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Road tripping with Pauseture

*2026-08-01*

I feel lucky that I’ve been on the road with my family a lot this summer. I’m enjoying the special moments adventuring!

Unfortunately, I don’t always feel comfortable during long intervals of travel.

I often experience pain during long car rides. I find it demanding to reach back to parent the kids in the backseat, the hauling and constant packing and unpacking, and the sleeping on unfamiliar mattresses…

This summer, I’ve been reaching for Pauseture as a quick tool to take care of myself on the road.

I’m amazed by how even a short lesson can leave my spine feeling more comfortable, and restore me to state of presence that supports my parenting.

It’s not always easy to find a quiet place to practice in. But I find with AirPods I can create a bubble of space and time to do a short lesson in privacy.

This summer I’m feeling grateful for the convenience and self care available through this app!

**Developer response:** "A bubble of space and time" is such a beautiful description of exploring a lesson in Pauseture. What we hear so often is that finding time to come back to yourself makes you more present for everyone else. So glad Pauseture is traveling with you this summer and I hope it stays in your toolkit year round. — Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Transformational

*2026-07-29*

This app has changed my life. I am in the middle of the 21 day challenge and I look forward to doing my daily lessons. They are extremely helpful for my body- I feel so much lighter afterward - and the 7-18 minute lessons are easy to fit into my life.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave a review even before finishing the intro series. Keep going, with consistency, changes continue to happen. — Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Helps with body alignment and posture

*2026-07-27*

Using this app has made me much more aware of how my body moves (or doesn’t move). I came to the realization that I rarely engage my pelvis when I move. It takes time to get used to making small movements that don’t seem like they’ll do much, however, almost every time I get up from doing one of the recordings my body feels like it is aligned better. My posture is much improved. It also takes time to get used to audio only without video, however, I actually like it. It’s relaxing to listen to the person’s voice as I follow along. I do most of it with my eyes closed. I do prefer some people over others. Some of the movements I find very easy and others are difficult, but there are a wide variety. I appreciate the ones that are around 15 minutes. It seems long enough to get benefit but not too long to discourage me from doing it. I have really been enjoying the app so far.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience. It can be surprising how subtle little movements can reorganize your posture. I was surprised myself how easy it could be, which is why I built Pauseture, to help others find an easier way to move and feel. And the variety of teachers and lessons keep your brain fired up for learning. I'm so grateful when people take the time to share what they've noticed with practice. - Beverly, Founder

### 5/5 — Nice!

*2026-07-25*

This app has helped me develop a regular practice of taking some to slow down and take care of myself. The guided movements help me release muscle tension and pain. As someone with a physical job and ADHD, I struggle with consistency, but 10-20 min sessions feel doable to me, and I always feel better after. These lessons help me start my day well and also helps me recover from hectic days and settle down. I like the variety of teachers and themes.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for sharing this. It means so much to hear Pauseture has helped you build consistency, especially with a physical job and ADHD in the mix. Those 10-20 minute sessions are designed exactly for days like that. And whenever you have more time to sink into a practice, we've also got longer 30-minute lessons waiting for you. So glad you're feeling the benefits both in muscle release and in how you start and end your day! - Beverly, Founder
