## What is Pausewell?

Turn your scrolling habit into a moment of reflection.

Pausewell blocks the apps that pull you in most — Instagram, TikTok, X, whatever it is for you — and replaces the moment you'd normally start scrolling with a Bible verse and a short pause. No shame, no guilt, no lecture. Just a verse, a breath, and a choice.

How it works
• Pick the apps you lose time in
• Open one, and you get a verse instead — read it, sit with it for a second, then decide if you still want to go in
• Every day you choose the pause, your streak grows
• Unlock as often as you need — Pausewell never caps how many times you can get back into an app

More than a blocker
• Verse of the day on your Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets
• Quiet Time — a short guided timer for a few unhurried minutes with scripture
• Prayer — a simple prompt whenever you want to talk to God
• Journal — write down what you're reflecting on, kept privately on your device
• A morning verse delivered as a notification, if you want it

Free where it counts
The blocking feature and the daily verse are free, forever. A tool meant to help your walk with God shouldn't paywall the part that actually helps. Pausewell Premium adds extras — Lock Screen widgets, custom reminder times, unlimited journal history, Streak Freeze, and alternate themes — for people who want to support the app and get a bit more.

Private by design
No account. No sign-up. No tracking. Your streak, your journal, and your app choices never leave your phone — there's no server for them to go to.

Why Pausewell instead of the others
Most screen-time apps just wall you out with nothing behind it, or make you feel guilty for reaching for your phone at all. Pausewell isn't punishment — it's a small, repeatable moment where you pick intention over impulse. And unlike some faith-based blockers, it doesn't limit how often you can unlock, and it doesn't paywall scripture.

Start your streak today.
