Is there anyone working to fix this product? ### 1/5 — Absolutely Horrid App *2020-02-27* Who designed this travesty of an app? After connecting for the first time last night I have not been able to re-connect to the video stream. There is no other option to troubleshoot than to click the refresh button or start from the beginning and re-do the entire setup. The FAQ page leads to a 404 error and the rest of the app is absolutely bare. Even when the stream was momentarily working the feed was choppy and blurred and the controls are jerky and poorly responsive. Returning this product and deleting this app ASAP - avoid the headache and just look for another pet cam. **Developer response:** Dear Customer, Really sorry for the inconvenience during these days that caused by our server update. Don’t waste your money like we did. There is no customer support whatsoever. Not enough info on the internet and all the troubleshooting info says follow app instructions. Pretty hard to do when there are 3 steps and when it gets to the connection step, it freezes. Junk. It seemed that the app had been updated since then but it still didn’t work. Can’t set up. Can’t connect. Tech support offered no solution either. DON’T BUY Pawbo until they fix the issue! Even before this crash the video was slow and low res, especially when its dark in the room. IF it’s super bright in the room then the video is good and the treats reliably dispense. But even under the best conditions there was still a multi second delay. Too late to return this thing, so I’m hoping Pawbo at least gets the app working again. Please update ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — most annoying pos I've ever had to set up *2024-02-21, version 1.5.2* what do you mean you countdown a FULL minute for it to not even connect? And if you dare get another phone it loses all of your progress in logging in. VAGUE instructions on how to set up. Loud annoying voice "WPS READY TO SET UP" like it's announcing to the entire neighbourhood that you're setting up something. Doesn't even record when you're out. It's a good camera if you have anxiety and need to quickly check home but not good if a crime happens and you need something to record. ### 1/5 — The camera won’t even come on… *2021-11-13* This app is so annoying because everyone else’s seems to work but our Pawbo won’t work. We bought it brand new and when we downloaded the app and went through all the steps, we tapped the play button to use the camera, but when we went on we were just stuck on the cat and dog loading screen thingy. We still can hear noise and stuff but we can’t use any of the icons to do anything on the app. So disappointing wish I could give this app a 0 star… ### 1/5 — Can’t connect ! *2020-10-12, version 1.5.2* Bought this a couple of weeks ago and it is useless as I can’t connect via 4g. It only works on wifi when you are at home. The support site is down and pawbo have not answered any of my help questions. When I tried to go to the site for assistance it says no IP address. For the price we paid I’d expect it to work or at least have assistance with set up. Will be returning the device. ### 1/5 — This app is roughhh. *2020-07-05* I love the camera itself but this app needs some work. It’s often laggy to the point of the app crashing, the voice feature makes the app completely freeze for several seconds, then speed up to real time and then freeze again. I’ve deleted the app & redownloaded, restarted my device, changed networks for the camera and my phone and restored and set up my phone as new. It’s all the same. The interface is minimal at best and is cluttered. It looks like it was made for an older iOS and then just never updated. I want to love this product but this app REALLY diminishes the overall quality. It worked for a week, now it only shows up as ‘disconnected’ I re-installed it, same problem. There’s no support, their site is now in Russian, I will be returning this ASAP. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Love my Pawbo *2020-01-06* I don’t understand the negative reviews for this app. I have never had any issues with it. I used it while I was away on vacation, and my cat was with my sister. Both my cat and my sister’s cat would come running every time the Pawbo turned on because they built an association with the sound of it turning on and knew they would get treats and a laser. Their reactions to hearing my voice is so cute! They definitely knew it was my voice. Basically, I got a great view of them every time I wanted to, and it was just what I needed because I missed my kitty while I was away. Sometimes I find myself getting bored and checking in to see what she is up to, even when I’m not on vacation. ### 5/5 — Great way to check in with the pets! *2019-12-26* We really enjoy this app/product to check in on our two cats. The treat motivated cat, Chuck, usually gets in position in front of the camera before the stream even starts! Neither of them is very interested in the laser and two way video would be interesting, though not sure the cats would get anything from it, but they definitely do respond to our voices. Every time we open this while traveling and show others, they all are interested in getting their own. ### 5/5 — Revised- customer service is there for you *2019-03-30* Customer support responded quickly to my complaint and helped me resolve the issue quite easily. I recommend contacting their email support for assistance! Quick and easy. My pawbo is working great again. Video is crisp and clear. Previous: I can’t access my pawbo. Every time I open the app, even after resetting and removing and re-downloading the app, the doorbell rings and then the app closes itself. ### 5/5 — Works great *2018-02-27, version 1.2.6* Works as advertised. Treat dispensing is really quiet. For the money this is the best camera/treat dispensing and laser toy for the money. Really happy so far. The box even becomes a nice stand. What I saw was that my WiFi router name didn’t appear when I tried to connect and then the next screen (which is a 90 second countdown while it connects) sat on 90 indefinitely. To get around this I used an old iOS device, downloaded the app, and it all worked really smoothly. Acer and Pawbo really need to fix the app so setup works on iOS 13+.
