## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.1 — 2026-09-01

You can see the inventory now

・Logging a meal shows which pack it comes out of, how much leaves, and what stays — before you save, so there is nothing to reconcile afterwards.
・When several pets share a bowl, the total leaving the pack and each pet's own share are both shown.
・If a meal will run into a second pack, you are told first.
・Leaving the portion blank does not touch the inventory, and the screen now says so.
・New: Finish the pack — close out an opened pack in one tap.
・Filling in a whole day at once now counts the same pack twice in order, instead of each row answering on its own.
・Fixed: a blank portion could deduct a whole package.
・Fixed: an item saved without a package size never counted down, however much was fed.

What your pet actually eats

・No more blank screen with no explanation for anyone not using the inventory.
・How well a meal went is judged by that meal, not by anything else that happened that day.
・A one-off bad day no longer counts — a symptom has to persist.

Other fixes

・An achievement was earned but the celebration never appeared.
・A few screens showed internal codes instead of words.
・Boxes instead of characters on the sitter's care report card, and a signature that kept getting dropped.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-28

This release fills in what you can observe at home.

New
• Body condition scoring — pick between two illustrations, step by step, to reach a 1–9 score and what to do about it. Reviewed by a veterinarian.
• Muscle and joint screening — feel four areas at home to check muscle condition; a six-question screen helps you decide whether to raise it with your vet. Results flow into Vet Prep.
• Food they like — nothing new to log. It reads back what your pet actually eats from meals you already recorded, and says plainly which servings sat out and why. Days she was unwell don't count — but a pet with a long-standing condition no longer gets a blank page because of it.

Improved
• Today shows water and calories as two rings side by side, with moisture from wet food in its own colour.
• Feeding gained a "how much did you serve" step, so a pouch is no longer assumed to be one meal. Cans are counted in cans, not packs.
• Daily water targets now use the published per-kilogram figures.
• Medical records take a visit type and your own description of the problem. Vet Prep now includes calorie intake.
• Built-in care items and household supplies can both draw from your pantry.
• Stool entries can carry a photo, and it stays out of Memories.
• Every-other-day and every-N-days medication schedules no longer drift from the second week on.
• Type sizes across the app now follow Apple's scale, with layouts adjusted in all four languages.
• Photos in a sitter's report can be swiped through.

Fixed
• A note typed under the "other" symptom was invisible once saved.
• A second pet could not be added to a group.
• Custom care items were dropped from the health history.
• Daily calorie targets showed a dash after 90 days without a weight entry.
• Subscription renewal checks, and being asked to sign in again on desktop browsers.

Plus dozens of smaller fixes.

### 1.5.3 — 2026-08-17

This release fixes three things that worked all along — you just couldn't reach them.

• Wellness History wouldn't open right after launch
Tapping "Add Daily Log" or "Wellness History" from Today sometimes did nothing at all, so it looked like a broken button and you tapped again. That page is now prepared in advance, and the button shows a loading state while it opens.

• The delete button was invisible on iPad
On iPad, and on iPhone held sideways, the delete button on each logged row never appeared — and no gesture could bring it back. It is now always visible.

• The pet photo was tappable, but nothing said so
Once a pet had a photo, nothing on screen told you that tapping it changes the photo. A camera badge now sits in the corner of the photo.

Pawjot doesn't diagnose. Its job is to remember what you saw, so you can tell the whole story at the clinic.

### 1.5.2 — 2026-08-13

This update is about being able to change your mind.

・Entries can be corrected
Urination, stools, sneezing, coughing and scratching — tap an entry to change what it says instead of deleting it and starting over. The time and the family member who logged it stay put.

・Page through Wellness History a day at a time
After reading one day, use Previous day / Next day to move to the one beside it, and Back now returns to the history list instead of the home screen. Tracing what your pet ate in the days before a bad night is one tap each.

・Journal entries can be edited and deleted
Fix a typo or rewrite a line straight from the card. Deleting removes only the words — the photos stay in Memories and the photo timeline.

・Notes are visible when you edit
Reopening a logged meal now shows the note you wrote at the time, and lets you change it.

・Change a food's category and the shortcut follows
Move an item from dry to wet in your Pantry and the Recent shortcut updates too, instead of quietly logging the old category again.

・"Medicine given" is recorded as a real dose
Tick it in the daily log and pick the medicine, and the dose goes into the medication history with the stock deducted. Change the medicine later and the history is corrected with it; delete the entry and we ask whether the dose should go too — the medicine was already given, so that isn't ours to decide.

・Smoother photo and video loading
How media is fetched has been rewritten, so there is less waiting when a screen opens.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-08-09

As-needed medicine
• Log a dose straight from the Medications page
• Forgot at the time? Pick a past date and add it later
• As-needed medicine has no fixed schedule, so its record page no longer shows doses due or an adherence rate — neither number ever meant anything for it

Opens faster
• Removed a large font file, so there's no longer a spell right after launch where taps don't register
• The bottom tab bar is drawn a cheaper way: smoother scrolling, less battery

Also
• An outing logged by your sitter now sits inside the visit it belongs to
• New icons throughout the health report and vet summary
• Notification titles no longer begin with a stray symbol
