## Most critical reviews (3 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Decent functionality, terrible connectivity

*2026-07-11*

Adding tags is a multi day incident. I’ve had two tags and neither connected the day I received them. The app just won’t recognize them without company intervention. The app is decent and easy to follow but I think it could be better if it didn’t default to a layout where it assumes you have multiple dogs.

### 3/5 — Firmware froze

*2026-02-03*

I have experienced several issues with both the app and the tags. For example, I tried to download the firmware today, but it was unsuccessful. I restarted my phone, and afterward the firmware option never appeared again. I checked the Terms of View section in the app, but there was no option to download it. Additionally, the dog tags suddenly stopped working. The company was kind enough to ship replacement tags, and those have been working properly. This is a new product so I understand that these products will have hiccups but I should not have to pay for it.

### 4/5 — Firmware update needs fixing

*2026-01-30*

App functionality is great! Nice interface.

The only issue I ran into is the app gets stuck downloading a firmware update and doesn’t proceed any further once it’s downloaded. Powered down device and restarted.
The app successfully downloaded and installed the firmware the second time around, but the app still hangs on firmware installation, not recognizing the pet door has in fact successfully installed the firmware update.
