### 3/5 — I have problems with my zero-out function

*2025-02-11*

It has been almost 3 months that my pawsync feeder won't bypass the zero-out. My device version is 10.0.27(10.0.27), and the app is fully updated please help me out I have been a beta tester for more than a year, and I have been using this device for a while.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your patience, and we sincerely apologize for the delay in responding. We understand how frustrating it must be to have your feeder issue unresolved for so long, especially as a dedicated beta tester.

To get this resolved quickly, we recommend reaching out to our customer support team directly at support@pawsync.com. They will be able to look into your device version and app details and provide troubleshooting steps or assist with any necessary fixes.

Thank you for your patience, and we truly appreciate your ongoing support as a tester!

### 4/5 — Wish for more functionality

*2024-12-23*

I wish this app had the ability to add outside supplementary meals snacks that you might feed your cat throughout the day/week. It would give a more comprehensive idea of their caloric intake. I personally do not feed my cats solely dry food. Otherwise the app is ok for tracking and I love the convenience of the device.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your input! We're excited to announce that manual meal input is currently under development and will be included in our upcoming update at the end of January. We'll let you know as soon as it's available and would love to hear your thoughts on how it works!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very hard to use

*2026-02-11*

The sole purpose I bought their feeder and installed the app was to set up meal plans, but the app wouldn’t allow me to save my plans. Every time I had to click ‘save’ 2-3 times and it’s either no response or it saved multiple plans without any meal information. Don’t buy this product.

### 1/5 — Fix bugs!

*2025-11-09*

Ever since the last update (3 months ago) the app no longer works correctly for notifications. For an example, when my dog eats her food I would receive a “dog has ate food in X amount of time” but all I get is duplicate notifications stating “there’s food in the bowl” when there’s no food in the bowl for the past hour.
I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled, check all settings etc. As of this morning I’ve received multiple (4 notifications in a row) stating to zero out the bowl after I just zeroed it out.

Nothing has fixed this- please fix

### 1/5 — App inoperable

*2024-11-05*

With an SE iPhone, you cannot reach the set meals button so the entire function of the app is null and void. Major glitch

### 2/5 — use to be good but now it isn’t

*2026-08-05*

i’ve had this feeder for over a year , it use to be amazing. i didn’t have to stress when i went away about my cat getting the proper portion sizes. sadly for the last couple of weeks it has gone down ho VERY fast. it is always telling me to zero out the bowl which it is? it’s tell me my cat ate when there’s nothing in his bowl , and then this morning at 6am it gave me a notification that his meal didn’t dispense as the bowl was “too full” thankfully i haven’t left for work yet and just as i assumed there wasn’t NOTHING in the bowl not even a crumb.. definitely going to have to look for a new pet feeder as this is very unreliable which is sad cause it was a great affordable pet feeder…

### 2/5 — Firmware Update Kills Feeder

*2026-06-04*

Loved it until today when nothing I do seems to work to reset this feeder. I did the update through the app and was never able to connect again. Been using it several months.

### 2/5 — Almost Slick

*2025-04-02*

The feeder itself is great, but this app is very frustrating.
Every single button or action phones to servers and takes a few seconds to load. This is mildly annoying normally, but becomes very painful when facing issues in the app and having to retry things multiple times.
Loading errors don't display as errors, they just return no info.
Unable to delete false meals triggered by foreign object falling into feeding bowl.
No ability to export meal history.
At one point, the meal plan had disappeared. I tried multiple different ways to find it, only to accept it was deleted. I triggered a manual extra meal, then finally the full meal plan re-appeared.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been having with the app – that must be really frustrating.
We totally get how the inability to delete false meals can be annoying, especially when you're just trying to get things working smoothly. The good news is we’re already working on a feature that will let you edit or delete false feedings directly in the app. We’re also adding more helpful error messages so you’ll be able to see exactly why your meal plan might not be showing up.
We’re really focused on making your experience better, and your feedback is helpful in guiding us to the right fixes. We want to make sure the app works for all of our users and if you're interested in providing feedback on the upcoming release. Please reach out to us at support@pawsync.com.

### 3/5 — Notification errors & UI tweaks

*2026-04-20*

First off, why do I constantly get notifications to clean the feeder after I have just cleaned it, and more importantly, don't have them enabled?!?! The app lets you be rather nuanced about which notifications you receive, but I can't stress how incredibly annoying it is to get inaccurate, unwanted notifications daily.

Some of the app's UI seems unintuitive to me, leading me to spend a while searching for how to do something. Also, I don't understand why you cannot manually edit recorded feedings. It would be nice to be able to adjust it for a feeding when, say, the feeder is drying after you cleaned it, so the meal is not recorded.

### 3/5 — Unmanageable notifications and unclear technical support

*2025-10-15*

Visiting their website gives no clear indication of how to get technical support. Just a general Contact Us but no option for tech support.

Have a question about how to turn off a particular notification but no clue who to send the question to.

Annoying when companies do this.

### 3/5 — App needs improvement

*2025-08-30*

The feeder is great but the app needs improvement. The red light on the feeder is on more often than not. After consulting the app, I fill the feeder, zero out the bowl, etc. the light is still on.

Even more annoying is every few weeks, we need to log back into the app with our password. It’s the only app I have that does that.

Fix these bugs (yes, they’re bugs) and I’ll up my rating to 5 stars.

### 3/5 — App is easy to use but there’s bugs

*2025-03-23*

I love the layout and functionality of the app. I also enjoy tracking my pet’s food consumption and being able to ensure she’s fed while I’m at work.

But my issue is with the meal tracking feature itself. The bowl has been empty for nearly an hour since her last feeding, and I’m getting notifications of volumes of food she “just” ate. Moments ago it told me she ate “0.7 oz of food in 1.5 minutes” which is impossible because A. It’s empty, and B. Her feeding is only 0.4oz per meal. The app is up to date, I’ve zeroed out the bowl, I’ve unplugged and replugged in the feeder and it’s not correcting itself.

It’s been days of adjustments, updates, and resets. Still no improvement. Still multiple false notifications.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your feedback, and we’re glad to hear that you enjoy the layout and functionality of the app, as well as being able to track your pet’s food consumption. We completely understand how frustrating it can be to deal with inaccurate meal tracking and false notifications, and we apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced.

We are actively looking into the issue with ghost feedings and would love the opportunity to discuss this further with you to better understand the problem. If you're open to it, please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@pawsync.com so we can help resolve this as quickly as possible. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re committed to improving your experience.

Thank you again for your patience, and we look forward to resolving this for you.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very Good App

*2026-05-03*

I’ve been using the Pawsync app and overall it works very well. The interface is clear, the connection with the device is reliable, and the daily experience is smooth and easy to use.

However, a few improvements could make it even more practical:

- It would be great to adjust portions in 5 g increments instead of 10 g for more precise control.
- Adding a widget would be a big plus, especially to quickly check the time of the next feeding without opening the app.
- Finally, the voice call that announces feeding currently plays after the food is dispensed. It would be more logical and effective if it happened before the mechanism starts.

Thank you for your work on this already very useful app—these small improvements could make it even better.

### 5/5 — Works perfect

*2025-08-06*

I love the app.

### 5/5 — Well designed app and feeder

*2025-01-17*

The app is well designed and easy to use. The feeder works well and look solid.
Hope team will add integration with Amazon Alexa ecosystem or Home Assistant.
Also it would be nice to add option to disable lock on feeder so we can give extra meal without holding buttons for 3 seconds.

### 5/5 — Easy to navigate set up

*2024-11-08*

The feeder is easy to set and the app does a good job guiding you through the process. Great customer support in quickly resolving a glitch in the app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear about the issue you encountered. We want to let you know that we’ve already addressed this in a recent update, and we hope it improves your experience moving forward.
We truly appreciate your patience, and we’re constantly working to make the app better. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out – we’re here to help!

### 5/5 — Very good app

*2024-08-12*

Very good app, makes my cats healthier and healthier

### 4/5 — No option to ask questions for help in CA. Only contact is for businesses or foreign

*2026-04-06*

The red and blue lights are not turning off after I refilled the device, and followed instructions to recalibrate I cannot communicate with anyone for help

### 4/5 — Limitations sometimes frustrating, gets job done

*2025-12-28*

I changed the brand of dog food and recalibrated it, and it said meal sizes were now a maximum of 70 grams. Before it was 100, which is fine. I don’t really understand why there’s a max to begin with? If I want to put out 500 grams per meal, is the scale just not able to handle it? Why does it go up or down depending on the food? I’m not even mad I just want to know.

Appreciate the videos on how to reset the Wi-Fi (hold both buttons down THEN hold Wi-Fi button down), had to reconnect it after changing my password.

### 4/5 — Great for keeping my cat on a consistent schedule however…

*2025-08-08*

I’m not quite sure how it is for dogs but the recommended portion sizes for female cats is way too much. My vet even told me to use almost 1/10th of what was recommended. Other than that, it works great.

### 4/5 — Developers should promise to release API

*2025-06-13*

Decent product but what happens if they get bought, stop support or whatever. Great hardware, accurate, reasonably reliable. They need to state that the access to the feeder will go on even if they stop supporting it by promising a release of API to open source. All the features run through the Pawsync servers, multiple feeding schedules, notifications, on demand feeding, record keeping.
Maybe the product will keep feeding the one schedule if the servers or internet or even electricity is down, but it's still ewaste without a server.

### 4/5 — Easy to understand but...

*2025-05-17*

This app is pretty easy to understand and use, but there is one thing I would ask the dev's to change. If I have an unread notification or receive one, and I open the app or tap the notification, please put some sort of visual cue showing me where the notification was trying to direct my attention. Like a little red dot, or a pop-up---anything. I hate getting notifications and not knowing what they're about.
