On a hot day, asphalt can run 35–55°F hotter than the air — hot enough to burn paw pads while you're barely warm. PawWalk answers the only question that matters at the front door with the leash in your hand: can we walk now, and if not, when? And it answers for free. No subscription, ever — the hourly walk windows, the widget, the dog profile: all of it, free with one small banner, and a single one-time purchase removes even that. Walk windows, at a glance PawWalk doesn't just say "too hot." It shows today and tomorrow as a simple timeline with the cooler stretches marked green: "Good until 8:30 AM, then again after 6:15 PM." One glance and the walk is planned — no score to interpret, no forms to fill out. The ground estimate has been checked against more than 100,000 hours of real road-surface readings and retuned: bitumen now holds its heat into the evening, wind and rain count properly, and on a wet day PawWalk says it's rain, not sun. On Android, the widget now draws the same little horizon as on iPhone. ### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-07 The home-screen widget now follows the day on its own — the verdict, the ground estimate and the next good window, updating hour by hour without opening the app. On iPhone the widget is new, drawn as a little horizon in the band's colors.
