Just stupid and have a huge amount of issues every year with this app ### 2/5 — Jerry & Mike - Save us from this app! *2025-11-24, version 4.4.0* This is my first PAX but not my first game con. Half the problem is the app: it remembers to show you a splash screen each time you open it, but finding your registered events is three clicks and and four guesses. You can filter on less-used facets but they don't require events to list a duration. There are so many UX improvements that could be implemented. The OTHER half of the problem is that PAX Unplugged allows event owners to use whatever third party or random method they want for registration. This event might use the app, while another tells you to go use Warhorn, and a third says to show up at a booth at a specific time. Make event organizers ONLY register in one place. PAX is 20 years old – they cannot offer an amateur solution like this with their tenure and success. ### 1/5 — Can’t log in because your code never hit my email. *2025-11-22, version 4.4.0* Checked my inbox. Checked my spam folder. Supposedly you guys sent me an email with my log in code, but the emails aren’t even coming through. ### 1/5 — This app is awful *2025-08-29, version 4.2.0* This app functions like something created in 2009. The account creation and registration system is archaic. Do better, ReedPop. ### 5/5 — The App Works *2025-07-24, version 4.0.0* I don’t know why so many people dislike this app. I have used it since the first year it came out and it’s super helpful in finding panels and shows. I recommend it. ### 1/5 — Big Yikes! *2025-05-09, version 4.0.0* It would be nice if this was a working app for a big and popular convention schedule :/ ### 1/5 — Erased registrations! No in app support *2024-12-08, version 3.0.0* This app ruined our plans for one day of Pax. My husband and I both registered for games at 0800 day of events, which is a pretty awful way to run things imo anyway. But worse is when the app was being glitchy so my husband uninstalled and then reinstalled the app. He did not hit the "unregister" button for his games. But when he logged back into his account after reinstalling all his games were deleted. As there is apparently no list that goes out to events after you register, he was unable to do any of the things we registered for. There are no in-app support options either. Pretty much wasted our plans for the entire day at Pax 12/07/24. Nobody at the event desks could help us either. ### 2/5 — Not compatible with iPhones *2024-12-08, version 3.0.0* This app was definitely made for Androids. The in-app QR code scanner didn’t work for me, so I couldn’t participate in the scavenger hunt, but my Android friends didn’t have this problem. Also I was unable to register for anything due to crashes, but again, my Android friends were able. The schedule option is nice though. ### 1/5 — They only want your money *2024-12-07, version 3.0.0* The state of this app, the number of attendees, and the appalling lack of seats at organized events all point to one thing: profits. Once they have collected your badge money they have a vested interest in you wandering the vendor hall and nothing else. This app does not function but DOES work in frustrating you and your entire group as you try and fail to register for virtually any event that is even remotely notable. If you have ever heard of an rpg or board game then you won’t be able to register for it even if you obsessively refresh at the opening time. Very disappointed on all fronts. This is becoming GenCon. ### 3/5 — Please fix it by December. *2024-06-23, version 2.1.0* The app was really buggy when we visited PAX Unplugged last year. Please give it a serious update before the next PAX U convention. Multiple attempts to enter tournaments just to have the app crash. Really frustrating. Please hire someone to correct these issues. This convention must make a ton of money. I’m sure it’s within your budget and will help bring people year after year.
