We should be able to filter locations by gas station, grocery stores and so on to make it easier to find what I’m looking for. ### 3/5 — Terrible Interface, Useful App *2016-07-26, version 1.5* The app does exactly what it says it does, gives you a map of Apple Pay vendors my location. The makes it really difficult to use, almost painful, but the data is current and you can add your own locations. ### 3/5 — I'll try it *2016-06-22, version 1.5* I noticed complaints here that the app vendor is unresponsive to updates. So I added my local Walgreens, which is (1) NOT listed in this app, and (2) DOES accept Apple Pay (as I believe all Walgreens are supposed to do. I do note that the map this app uses is SEVERAL YEARS out of date. The building shadow is for a Baskin Robbins that was torn down about 7 years ago. A Walgreen's was put on this site at least 2-3 years ago. I'll see if there is any update in response. In the meantime I'll give it a 3. Also, this app is pretty ugly aesthetically. ### 2/5 — Somewhat Useful *2016-04-09, version 1.5* I like this App, however, I have written a few updates regarding stores that are now taking Apple Pay and aren't listed, and others that are listed as accepting Apple Pay but actually don't. None of those listings ever get updated. This App can only be useful if the updates are corrected promptly. One of the updates I sent twice about a month apart, but nothing changed! ### 3/5 — Great concept Weak follow through *2016-03-30, version 1.5* Great concept in theory. It could be more useful with updates. I've submitted 2 new places, several months ago, none have been added to the map/list. I also recommended a place to be added and nothing happened. The app is supposed to be quasi interactive with the developer having to actually enter the new locations based on user input, but I get the feeling that this app has been abandoned. Great start with no follow through. ### 4/5 — Good features and user friendly *2016-03-27, version 1.5* Clean interface, easy to use and very esy to look for merchants that accept Apple Pay. Laughably bad. Don’t even waste your time, I’d just wait for someone more competent to make a GOOD version of this app because it is a good idea, I love using Apple Pay but am never sure who accepts it. Every good review on this are either bots or the developers. ### 1/5 — Terribly inaccurate *2018-08-10, version 1.5* Hess gas stations began converting to Speedway in 2014 and by 2015 hey were all Speedway. That was three years ago. This app lists Hess gas station, all over the place, as a gas station that takes Apple Pay... and when I type in Speedway the only place that comes up is a nearby racetrack. I don’t know if Speedway accepts Apple pay or not, just because they used to be Hess doesn’t mean they have all the same equipment. I also searched for Giant because I know for a fact my local giant takes Apple Pay; zero results within 50+ miles... searched sheetz because I know one local sheetz takes it, but need to see if the closer one does as I need gas in the next six hours before driving home from work.... zero results. So yeah. Update your app so it’s not in a timeframe of 3+ years ago, and maybe I would use it.. Also it’s extremely confusing to get to the search area, plus it enlarges your keyboard for no reason..... and makes you sign up to view specifics of a location. All of that is just annoying. App deleted. ### 1/5 — Don't download!! *2017-04-16, version 1.5* So I was visiting a small town which had two apple pays according to the app. I got directions to a place to eat via the app and the place was not there. I got on google to find that the restaurant was 2 miles alway from where the app said. As I was going to the proper place we passed another place doing Apple Pay and it was almost 1/2 a mile away. This app needs to step its game up! We ended up trying another restaurant which took Apple Pay but was not on the app. ### 1/5 — DO NOT DOWNLOAD! (90% of their Data is wrong; Developers don't care!) *2016-11-13, version 1.5* In early 2016, I posted on Twitter that the Pay Finders app has about 90% of its data wrong...locations for businesses are miles off of reality; lists places as taking Apple Pay but they don't and never have. The developer sent me a DM asking me to personally send him all of the incorrect data and he would fix it ASAP. That never happened. It's been 6 months since I sent the DM and no updates have been made. 3 times since, I've sent private then public messages to the developer asking when the updates would be made. He has now blocked me on Twitter. The developer doesn't care about the app users. He acknowledges the data is VERY wrong and doesn't make changes. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. If you already have it, DELETE IT. Send a strong message to the delveioer! ### 1/5 — Worthless *2016-07-31, version 1.5* I found myself an hour away from home without my debit card and needed to use Apple Pay to get gas. I downloaded this app and was completely frustrated and disappointed. I drove all over town and the pinpoints on this app I went to DID NOT have Apple Pay. I ended up going to Walmart and using Walmart Pay to purchase a gift card to get gas. The only place that seemed to be accurate was McDonald's where I stopped to grab the kids something to eat. It's a wonderful concept but this app is completely worthless. I deleted it as soon as I fueled up. If I could give it no stars I would. ### 1/5 — App is a joke *2016-06-08, version 1.5* Update June 2016: Apple Pay doesn't work on Apple 5/5s and only recently started supported working on the SE. Why in the world would the app not support iPhone 6/6s displays? This app is still a joke. Update: this app is really bad everything is all stretched out. The only place that has Apple Pay according to this app is a subway restaurant in Lima Peru. Don't waste your time with this app hopefully someone else will make something better. Not adjusted to iPhone 6(s) plus display. Crashes constantly. When I search for a location it says there aren't pay locations near me, but I know there are, and the app itself shows the location near me on the map. ### 1/5 — Not attempt at accuracy *2016-05-28, version 1.5* The app is a great idea in theory, but there doesn't seem to be any effort to update locations based on user feedback. I have made multiple entries indicating that Home Depot does not accept Apple Pay. Nothing has been updated. I have also provided feedback that some retail chain locations have been closed for years. Some retailers have been closed prior to the launch of Apple Pay, yet they remain on the list. A little effort would be nice on the part of the developers. Until then only one star. ---- Just to update months later... Nothing has changed! Ridiculous! ### 1/5 — Great Big Fat Nope *2016-05-14, version 1.5* Downloaded this app on a recommendation from a random customer service rep at BofA. Fortunately it was on WiFi and not via cellular data. This app has a dated interface (read "huge buttons") and bizarre navigation. It showed half a dozen icons within a 2 block radius for the same establishment/address. Not very good execution and certainly not worth the time. ### 1/5 — Dim Witted, incomprehensible and Frustrating *2016-05-13, version 1.5* To begin the user interface is very confusing a problem exacerbated by the complete lack of any instructions or information on the specific function of the various buttons and controls aside from the cryptic symbols that represent them. This makes navigating the app and getting the information you're interested in, very complicated, tedious and frustrating. These things in addition to the high probability that when using the app many people will be out, in their cars and quite possibly under a time constraint (such as looking for a place to eat on ones lunch break) all add up to an app that's more trouble than it's worth and in my experience you're better off getting a list of all the businesses that accept Apple Pay from Google and then simply searching which of those happen to be around you... Good concept but far from being complete ### 1/5 — Inaccurate information - No response to input from users *2016-03-01, version 1.5* The information provided for Apple Pay is essentially the same information presented by other companies. It is not tailored to Apple Pay. I know of as many places that currently accept Apple Pay that are not presented by the app as places that the app says accepts Apple Pay when they do not! It's basically worthless.
