A free app (usual stripe charges apply) to use with your phone or card reader device. Generally works well and has all the features you want, and is still intuitive. However, a few things are clumsy and need fixing please (it’s been a few years like this despite feedback to Stripe): 1) you often have to login to stripe again, eg every few weeks, which is frustrating whilst trying to make a sale. Once I had to login again, typed email address with a tiny typo in it, and instead of going to login or user not recognised page it (unclearly) made me a new account and redirected that day’s transactions to a false account; I still haven’t got my money moved despite them helping me for months! This is a small fault with big consequence for the app, but really is an issue with Stripe itself. 2) Sometimes the app is not clear whether is has connected or not via bluetooth to card reader, and you occasionally cannot click the reader on your phone to connect/disconnect. I close the app and open it again to ensure my device is reconnected successfully. All in all, I am happy, but these bugs do need addressing after years. ### 2/5 — It’s a hard use…. *2025-08-09, version 12.13* I’m having far too many issues with my device…. Which never answer questions. Stripe will abruptly suspend your account with no explanation that you can understand. Again everything is AI generated. If AI think you have fraud your shut down for 99days no access to funds no explanation. After just a few weeks they now require a passkey which has made this app unusable. My employees shouldn’t need my phone or finger print to cash clients out. Why did you ruin such a great app. **Developer response:** The passkey is due to the configuration on your device, and has nothing to do with the app. The app does not require a passkey, specifically because authentication happens via OAuth and Stripe. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No auto tax, no auto statement description *2026-06-20, version 13.3.8* Of little use with recent updates. We were seduced by the possibility of installing a stand-alone app directly on to a new S700 terminal (approx. 300€). Installation of the app requires customer support and after a couple of weeks of radio silence from this company we can only conclude that this stand-alone feature doesn’t exist. We’re 300€ out of pocket and are very disappointed. He doesn’t appear to have the mental capability to handle customer feedback. ### 1/5 — Awful and not user friendly *2025-10-11* The google verification with the Authenticator app associated with Stripe app is the most diabolical and frustrating experience I’ve ever had to go thru with verifying a payment account. Literally the whole thing has to be a strategy to collect peoples personal info and ids because the Authenticator app never works and it’s the only way to get into the stripe account if you don’t have the other ways set up beforehand if you say get logged out…say when your phone get smashed and needs replaced…I go to login to my account and now my Authenticator app isn’t working at all either. Now mind you my location services are on for the proper function. So im never using the app again cause it won’t payout the last 100 some bucks I made from a market hand painting work for HOURS…just cause a authentication app won’t sync correctly..I’m trying the whole data collect where they scan my face and all that but it just seems to be a scam to me and I’ll never see my money cause everything is locked/wont payout. ### 1/5 — Do not buy it is a scam *2025-08-28, version 12.13.2* The tap works just fine but when you go to collect your money it dose t do anything when you put your valid bank information in it doesn’t say it’s valid stole $200 from me. Garbage app ### 1/5 — It works But….. *2025-08-08* This app works as it says. It’s easy to use for the most part, and fairly straight forward. Beware of the steep fee they add of 1.2% just to send your information to stripe. Using a strip reader lowers your percentage to 2.7 and .05 from 2.9 and .30 but this puts 1.2 right back on it. I will be looking for another processor quickly. I don’t mind this developer making money, but I just ran a 700$ payment and they took almost 9$ for what? pushing information to stripe? i could have used the stripe app and saved a whole percent on this. **Developer response:** The app is designed for power users to checkout their customers quickly and efficiently, with all of the options they may need (products, invoicing, payment links, additional payment methods). The Stripe Dashboard app is primarily for managing a business on the go; stuff you would normally do in the office. The fees are not just for pushing data to Stripe, but also the 10 years of honing an exceptional experience for 200,000+ businesses.
